I guess it depends on the situation. If i have a stainless pan that is really burned and in bad shape, I can live with a few scratches if it doesnt affect the way it cooks. Good video !

I use the Barkeeper's Friend Soft scrub, even on my glass stove top. Shines stainless sinks, too (the soft scroll type).

I’ll take scratches over burnt grease stains. I’ve used it with scrub daddy pads, it work great especially on glass.

So that's what happened to my toilet I scratch the porcelain up and now it's always got a gray ring around it and everything sticks to it and unfortunately I don't have money like that to replace it

@@angelicamichelle1646 I think you give a good example of how we stress about unnecessary things. There’s a difference between what’s actually dirty, and what’s stained. Sometimes over-aggressive cleaning will cause more harm than just leaving it alone.

Using the green scrubber defeats the purpose of the Barkeeper’s Friend. And the temperature of the water on this demonstration makes no difference, because after doing all those steps, the water is cold. I’ve had my stainless steel pans for 25 years, and sometimes I used a green scrubber in my regular (by hand) dishwashing regimen, and they still look like new. I only use any scouring powder on the area around my gas burners when they get built up from baked on food.

So, why do scratches on stainless steel bother you? Scratches don't effect performance and if you just scrub the entire pan instead of spots it looks uniform and unnoticeable.

I got cookie sheets/pans from someone that need a dremel I think😂 if it would even work. Replacement would be easier.

I use hot water and a regular scrubby type sponge or my dishcloth. I won’t use things that scratch…
