A Fall version would be really nice🌟Thank you for the advice. I’ve always felt uncomfortable with crop tops & showing my arms & legs. I recently found out about Modesty & it has changed everything for me. It’s nice to realize I can take a step back & say I’m actually uncomfortable with some things I wear & try a modest approach to the items I own. To say no & not follow the trends of what everyone is into. My favorite go to is my favorite Anime shirt, Cardigan & straight leg pants. Making simple changes like this instead of a crop top & skinny jeans has boosted my confidence & it’s more cozy!!😂Cozy & Comfort all the way. Thanks again & love your journal videos💛

I have a lot of body image issues and never felt that I could be feminine. I have a snail trail on my stomach so crop tops always felt like a no go for me but this definitely gave me ideas on how to wear them and almost all of these outfits are 100% within my style range.

Ow, I loved the talk you gave at the end, I myself know the contrast to having dressed in a very embarrassing way before knowing GOD to dress modestly. I'm glad I found your channel and this video that helped me with ideas, because GOD turned me to HIM in quarantine, so most of the time I was in my pajamas and I didn't worry about how I would dress to savemy body and take care of the neighbor of temptations, ahhh, now it is really useful since on Thursday I will enter the university. I was never a "fashionista" girl so I always dressed in any casual way, technically I never knew how to dress, but now it is really important to dress with the intention of pleasing GOD. New sub, thanks for the help and encouragement you gave us.

Your style is modest/ cottage core/ vintage Is that what you aim for? Since I started my modesty journey I got rid of all Jean clothing because it really made me look more juvenile and personally I don’t like jeans unless I’m going to do something outdoors like go to the park or gardening. I also am very short so it’s easy for me to look much younger then what I am. My favorite outfit was the long maxi skirt and the button up. I’d so dress up with some kitten heels and probably a tiny summer scarf instead of the bandana.

I honestly don't even know what my style is loool 😅 I just wear whatever feels comfy and makes me feel confident. That could look like sweats, or a nice dress, or a t shirt and jeans!

@@claudiaspaurel haha it’s okay but that’s what I got from the outfits shown here. It gives off vintage/cottage core but more minimalist version of the cottage core. You look beautiful and graceful in all of them. I agree comfortability is a must 🫡 I don’t try to wear 5 inch heels anymore I am short but kitten heels are so cute and way more comfortable. Thanks for sharing your outfits. I love getting inspiration from others and learning why they make the choices they do. I noticed you cover your head a lot and I the scripture of why head covering was important came to mind. I always want to cover my head and I try to but because I don’t have anyone else with the same beliefs I do become discouraged being the only one. But your words of encouragement made me feel better and less alone 🫶🏼

Claudia, you look modest and feminine in the flowing dresses, but you look equally nice in the pants outfits. It’s quite embarrassing to see people dress immodestly (yes, men can also dress immodestly, especially nowadays). You are a wonderful example of how dress and to be a woman of God. Dear Claudia, Thank you very much for this. You did good. Now, if you're looking for modest swimwear the Muslims have some styles and another way to go is wearing rash guards, just like women who surf. Some wear them with longer shorts type bottoms as well. Or one pieces that look like dive suits often of SPF fabrics. They protect their skin. It's important not to wear a big t over a bikini as some have drowned doing that. About the top; from what I can see, it looks like it's shirred, if so, removing the shirring stitching from the back might make it loose and floaty. It would take time, but just be careful not to cut the fabric if you want to do it. Also some communities libraries are adding sewing machines and even sergers and classes to their services. You might try yours and see. Hope you have a great week. Mrs. K.
@traciannveno3 ай бұрын
Most people don’t know the physics behind small microclimates. It is so interesting. Certain pieces of clothing when loose will stay at a temperature cooler than your skin so will give an air conditioning kind of effect when done correct. Also I lived in the Arizona desert and the sun will start to bake you like a turkey in an oven if your skin is not covered. You stay cooler being covered strategically. But as for modesty, I have one thing to say… none of us are for sale and our bodies are precious to be saved for love alone.

Unfortunately, we modern Western women are programmed to dress for the titillation of men! Why should we? I’m not going to, that’s for sure. I do think all women, but especially we Christians and other People of the Book, should dress decently and modestly. There is also a real comfort factor in modest dressing, I don’t want to have to tug at my skirt or pull up the front of my top all day long, or stress about what’s showing. I don’t think the requirement of head covering applies to modern Christian women, except in places of worship, but it’s a personal choice. For women who hope to find a husband someday, quality, good men use modesty to determine whether you are marriage material, or just someone looking for casual sex. The don’t marry women that they would be ashamed to present to their friends, family and colleagues. It’s easy to look stylish, feminine and beautiful without revealing too much, and it’s much more classy. Also, I don’t want to offend my acquaintances from other cultures, like Japan, or religions, like Muslims.

I want to dress elegantly and comfortably, not in revealing ways. plus honesty i do not feel like the world has the right to see so much of my body LOL. Like the quote that says, "your body is a temple." I respect my body which is why I dress in ways that make myself feel comfortable and respected.

I love the midi skirt looks, I love midi skirts and dresses, or any skirt lengths from ankle to just above the knee. I rarely wear trousers, especially in the summer, they’re just not as comfortable. I’m much older than you, but have always dressed modestly, from my pre-tern years, probably because my figure developed very early, by about age 12 I was already an hourglass with a D cup size, and adult men were asking me on dates! I always referred them to my father when they didn’t believe my age, and they were never invited back. I just don’t feel comfortable with cleavage on display, or very short skirts. Even as a teen, I never worn any skirt shorter than mid-thigh, but because I’m short, this length was about 2-3” longer in me, perfect. I don’t have any religious restrictions, so I don’t cover my hair, except as required when visiting places of worship.

I liked all the outfits. One question: are you covering your hair also for religious reasons? Or is it a trend across all outfits? I've always dressed modest. All my life I've heard comments on that. I dress like that simply because that's how I feel the most comfortable. Nothing else. No religion involved, no big philosophy. And I don't care what comments others feel the need to tell me, it's their problem not mine 😉

The head coverings go so well and look so cute on you! I am not religious at all but enjoy dressing mostly modestly because it is work appropriate and it’s what I’m comfortable with (though my style isn’t “modest fashion” and definitely not 1950’s fashion because that was not a good time in history to be a woman). I do identify with the notion that you want to be known for what you do rather than what your body looks like and agree that how you dress helps you with that. I mostly disagree with religion telling people how to dress though even if it’s well-intentioned and to say that one should dress a certain way because “We don’t want to be those kind of people” is the toxic part of religion that passes judgement on others when they have no reason or right to. Any time the words “those people” are used, it’s a major red flag that I’m hearing something harshly judgemental, bigoted, racist, etc. and is definitely a more overt form of “micro aggression.”
@twilight742 жыл бұрын
I’ve always thought that the guidelines help remind people of the true value of themselves. The toxicity comes from a different source and might show through the way people treat the rule breakers.

In evangelical christianity, modesty for women and girls is deeply connected to shame, coinciding with the fetishization of virginity, and ultimately underlining submission to male authority. I appreciate that you’re trying to put a positive spin on it, but for many of us who left ‘the faith’ because of its anti-feminist positions, watching this is like reliving a bad memory. That said, I completely agree that we shouldn’t feel obligated to maintain beauty standards of any kind, including looking innocently acceptably pretty but not sexual, as christians would prefer. And yes, we should absolutely embrace aging, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to enjoy your youth. On the contrary, we should embrace that too! In summary, stay safe and remember, YOU should decide, not a book written by men and interpreted by other men who would like to keep women meek and obedient, and use shame as a tool to do that. P.s. Often women become the strongest enforcers of this modesty system, to show what good rule followers they are. What better way to prove your value to the patriarchy? P.s.s Of course there may be other good reasons to dress without showing too much skin. But I think the reason behind it is important.
@Peacebewithu343 ай бұрын
Maybe you need to work on forgiving the bad memory and watch good videos that actually showcase Christianity in the good light. I totally agree that there are a lot of Christians using beliefs to manipulate women. But let's not generalize. There are good christians out there. By its fruit, you will know if they're for Christ or not. I pray for healing upon you. 😊❤
