The eyelash brush looks good for grain fields and tall grass. A little messy but, for an evening scene where some dark spaces are needed. I can see uses there.

It also hit me that it might be good for characters with long hair, and again when a contract is needed between light and dark areas.

These are all great suggestions. It may take some practice to master but you can probably get some real nice effects with some of the makeup brushes.

Nice- Always like seeing these, as you never know what sort of hack you can use later on. I have a bunch of Micron pens lying around with zero to little ink in it, I may try that one out to see how it goes. Could save me a good trip to the store for a little while until it ends up needing to be replaced.

Hi Scott great video as always, I don’t know if this counts as a “hack” , but I’ve recently started using the uniball signo dx black gel pens for inking. The ink is super dark, the feeling is very smooth, the ink is waterproof, and they don’t have the same problem that felt pens do of the nib wearing out. Again, great video !!!

Thanks Angelo, I use the white Signo gel pens but have never tried the black, thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to look into it.

I dont have nay fancy art tools but I don't have fine markers that I can use to make my inkTober happen

there really aren't any rules to what kind of tools you can use for Inktober. Just use whatever you have on hand, it doesn't have to be fancy.

ever try those copic multiliners? i did a while ago and they are refillable and have a replaceable nib ,what made me stop using them is how some of the smaller nibs .1 to.005 are far to delicate

Yes I have a few Copic Multiliners. I like them, I tend not to use the super fine nibs much so I haven't really experienced that problem, but thanks for bringing that to my attention.
