Favourite chase scene has to be from Blues Brothers! Epic!

My favorite chase scene in a movie is & always will be the Mustang and Charger one in Bullitt. With Steve McQueen's motorcycle chase in the Great Escape right behind it.
@ItsFreakinHarding.6 ай бұрын
^^^ this comment right here should always be the correct answer, wellll...at least for anyone over a certain age who has actually seen Bullitt and can appreciate the movie and its, IMHO, perfect car chase scene. The fact that it was filmed with no CGI or anything like that is even more impressive. Number 2 on my list would be the car chase scene in 1988's The Dead Pool with Clint Eastwood, where they are racing through the streets of San Francisco while being chased by a souped->88,)*up remote-controlled car filled with C-4 I believe it was.

My favorite chase scene was in 1999's Fallen with Denzel Washington. Scariest too.

If you go for a third one of these lists, I have 3 good entries for you. First, in Fled Stephen Baldwin is in Salma Hayek's house talking to Laurence Fishburne when Baldwin's jacket magically disappears and reappears during the course of the scene. Also, a similarly magic vest is in the gay bar scene in Eraser. Then, in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, when Mark Hamill's hand is cut off during the bluntsaber fight, he somehow has grown a new hand as walks off the in-film movie set.😊

Dune wasn't filmed with the conventional green or blue screens for CGI but instead a tan colour, all as a means of eradicating any edge-trace of cool colouring. As you can see in the shot, the sword doesn't extend beyond the actor's leg, as well as having other cropping from the inside of the leg. Also, there's another error with that scene of Helm's Deep of Aragorn standing amongst the archers - as he thrusts/waves his sword forward it disappears.

Favorite car chase ever: the one from “Godzilla” 1998.

The sword was not invisible and did not disappear it was just pointed directly at the camera for one frame. If you look straight down a ballpoint pen most of it disappears
@SnapGrapplePop6 ай бұрын
Did you watch the clip? It shows that isn’t the case. As they move, the parts of the sword that are outside of the guy’s silhouette disappear. They maybe masked his layer before adding the sword, or they masked with a program rather than manually.
@christopherlee89896 ай бұрын
@@SnapGrapplePop I did watch the clip it showed it several times and in slow motion. It only looks like it disappears because the man is wearing gloves that are the same color They are actual physical swords the actors are carrying they weren't digital they can't digitally disappear....... It just angles directly at the lens for one single frame less than A second. If you can play it and 0.25 x speed and pausing slow you can even see The guy's hand is still shaped that way open holding around because the sword is still in his hand... It's just the light reflecting off of the sand and the metallic surface of the blade as long as the white textured surface of his glove are both reflecting the sand and the light giving it the appearance that it disappears when it points directly at the lens... I mean if you see a small bus in the distance and you're just standing there and the bus gets larger and larger and larger and larger would you think the bus is growing or would you think that you need to move the freak out of the way
@kenbrown28086 ай бұрын
@@christopherlee8989 it did look to me like it was a real sword appearing to disappear because of illusion, in the clips shown in the video. also, "I wondered why the ball looked like it was getting bigger, and then it hit me."

@@kenbrown2808 you're funny

@@christopherlee8989that’s the wrong clip, it’s not the one where the sword is pointed towards camera, it’s where it’s across his body and you can see the sword over his legs, but not over the background. If you see a small bus, but the bus only appears inside the silhouette of a person standing in front of it, you would think that’s a VFX error.

Stand By Me wasn’t a Steven King movie. It was a Richard Bachman movie. Yes, Bachman is Kings pen name, but the books penned as Bachman have all adapted better to the big screen than the books penned as Steven King

About that car disappearing in MI:... 302? (Or whatever number it's up to.) Didn't it just drive off? There is a very similar car in that next shot with the big hummer turning, only it's not on THAT corner anymore but now it's on the left at the next intersection. (Granted, I haven't gotten around to watching that movie yet and could be completely wrong.)
