Here are 10 MORE places in Edmonton, Alberta to explore if you are new to the city or plan on visiting in the future. I previously posted a Top 10 Edmonton video with more ideas for you to check out.
Edmonton is the capital city of the Canadian prairie province of Alberta. It is the northernmost major city in North America, and it is often referred to as the gateway to the north. The total metro population of the Edmonton area is a bit over 1.5 million people and growing quickly. Edmonton has the largest urban parkland in North America, the biggest mall in the country, strong sports teams, top universities and an internationally renowned festival and arts scene. Edmonton is also fairly affordable compared to other major Canadian cities, and so the overall quality of life in Edmonton can usually be quite good. If you haven't travelled to the city of champions, consider a visit!
I cover the following places in this video:
1 - Garneau
2 - University of Alberta North Campus
3 - Mill Creek/Whyte Ave East
4 - French Quarter Bonnie Doon
5 - Jasper Avenue Downtown
6 - Churchill Square
7 - Jasper Avenue Oliver
8 - 118 Ave 82 St - 97 St
9 - Highlands 112 Ave
10 - Fort Edmonton
If you got some value out of this one, please give it a like and consider subscribing to my channel - I upload at least one new video per week.
Thanks for watching, enjoy Edmonton!

Another great video. One thing I have noticed from watching Edmonton videos from different youtubers because I love my damn city is that: a lot of shots of downtown Edmonton from a skyline point of view are from the southside across the river facing north. That is a nice shot, but I feel that the best shot of downtown Edmonton is from the northwest looking southeast. The northwest part of downtown is where most of the newer buildings are including the Ice District. Around 104 ave facing southeast is a nice shot. The river is great, all the green space and all. But there have not been any newer buildings go up there, obviously because there is nowhere to expand and build with the river right there.

I appreciate it, started making little videos 11 months ago with no experience and I can't believe anyone is watching them! You raise a fair point, I've definitely hit up the traditional spots when getting skyline shots. and there are many other interesting angles. I also like the view of downtown from around Blatchford/Kingsway. Cheers

Thanks for the accurate and informative view of our city. The best thing about Edmonton is our many festivals. Maybe you could make a video about some of our unique and amazing festivals. We actually have the Ukrainian Festival coming up soon. Another video could hi-light our vibrant cultural activities, like music and theatre productions. The Yardbird Suite is the longest running volunteer Jazz Club in North America. The Blues on Whyte has amazing jams on Saturday Afternoons. The Blue Chair Café often has some great music. Keep up the outstanding videos. I am very proud of this city, and tourists need to visit. I should also mention the Alberta Aviation Museum on Kinsway as a true hidden gem.

Thanks for watching, this is definitely one of my least-viewed videos but I really wanted to highlight areas of the city I think people should visit. Those are all some great suggestions - I really enjoy the Aviation Museum, I love how they have those old aircraft on display out front. I have a ton of videos planned coming up but down the road I'd like to cover more stuff within Edmonton, a city I love very much. Cheers mate, have a great weekend!

Having recently visited Edmonton, I would also recommend Whitemud Park right beside Fort Edmonton and riding the High Level Bridge Streetcar.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, means a lot! This is definitely one of my least viewed videos and I'm glad you got some value out of it. I love these areas and I think a few of them are pretty unknown to newcomers. Cheers!

I wanna solo travel all the places in Edmonton but it's increasingly becoming more unsafe with homeless crackheads everywhere you go I always feel like I might get into some dangerous situation if I walk alone in most places in Edmonton

Yes, some areas can be sketchy at times. Edmonton has had an increase in social disorder and it definitely got worse over the pandemic. But you'll be okay exploring the city overall, I generally recommend going out earlier in the day. Most North American cities are seeing a rise in visible social issues and social disorder right now, but I would encourage you to still try to get out and visit some places in Edmonton that interest you. Thanks for the feedback!
