Yeah, public transport. We had to travel by train for 2 hours with a longer airsoft rifle in a box. Was not the best experience of my life. Fortunately, we had the best idea on how to not look suspicious (we were wearing full camo). *I wrote “Not Gun” on the box.*

A few tips I came up with: 1) Get and stay in shape - it's a sport after all and working out will a 100% improve your effectiveness on the field. Also do a warm up right before starting the first game of the day. 2) Always check your replica's performance right before the first game. You might need to adjust the hop up or red dot even if it was perfect the last time you played. 3) Knowledge is key. When starting out, choose a field where you'll play more often. Memorize the field and the movement or strategies of your allies and enemies. It's a great advantage to know in which positions everyone might be in. 4) Use strategy and communicate. Coordinate your defending, like holding corners, as well as your pushes with your team mates. Keep it simple and straightforward first. I've seen too many lone wolves pushing on their own as well as completely abandoned parts of the field without defense.

As someone who’s needed to use public transport before and carry rifles through British city centres, my advice, buy a guitar case, customise the internals to fit your needs and I guarantee unless you decide to still wear your plate carrier or a ghillie suit, no one will bat an eyelid.

I do that (Train only) and it is fairly easy. I have a big bag for all my stuff but the guns witch are in a soft gun bag. With that I can transport a 2 M4s with mags, Battery’s and everything you would need for your guns and in that big bag I have a Uniform, Platecarrier, Boots ect. I even had a game were we slept in an abandoned Building. And still I managed to transport every bit of gear I needed in that bag (air mattress, exra clothes, water, food) . Kind of amazes me every time how much stuff I can get in there.

I am exactly doing this in october. I need to go from Dortmund to a field somewhere in nowhere in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern via Berlin. Ive got a backpack, a duffel bag and my long rifle/weapon bag plus my camping chair and tent. I am thinking of getting a car just for that weekend lol. Luckily a friend of us offered to pick up our bags a week earlier when he‘s back in our hometown where we all come from. Since he lives near the field he can take everything with him and then shuttle us from the train station with remaining things. … also takes a lot of fear from me since carrying rifles (even just softair) is illegal in the DB my their transport conditions.

one mega tip: if you are serious about this sport and want to do this till your knees give up and you want to start investing in gear, go and buy PROPER tactical gear. dont waste money on cheaper airsoft brands, buy the actual quality gear for example tasmanian tiger. yes those brands are 2-3x more expensive but they litteraly last a lifetime because they are made for real combat scenarios. you buy cheap and you buy twice!

One helpful tip id really like to see put out there is getting a simple hydration system, whether that’s a simple one or a camelbak if you fancy the extra cost. Can’t explain how much nicer it is to always have access to water on those hotter days without having to lug a bottle of water around in a pouch or pocket which gets hot much quicker than a hydration system would

The BB stabilizes somewhere before 100mm in a barrel. Barrel length, outside of extremes which is negative, doesnt affect accuracy or range whatsoever. BB weight, bucking, nub, and barrel material+clean does. A heavily upgraded MK23 can poke out to 80m. They have short barrels. Essentially all airsoft is the same. A power source concentrates air through a nozzle that pushes the BB through the bucking. A pistol can have "sniper range" and a sniper can have "pistol range"

Another tip: Don't get too sweaty. As in, don't get overly competitive especially at public/day games, or rp/milsim type games. In a tournament, it's expected to find degree, but most of the time players just want to have a fun, balanced game that presents a nice challenge, win or lose. Just as someone not calling their hits is toxic, so is spawn camping, (intentional) overshooting, abusing MED/Bang Bang rules, etc, because you're degrading *their* experience. All for what? An imaginary K/D? You're gonna ruin some birthday/rental group just because it's an option? Take off the toxic/competitive gloves, touch the grass, and realize you aren't in a CoD lobby. Go have fun.

Third I guess? I feel leg platforms are personal preference. I run a leg pistol and depending on the game mode, extra 4 mags in a pouch and I find those more comfortable. But then again I always play outdoors and we don't have any choices for indoor games where I live unless we drive 2+ miles. But glasses is always a plus. Also my tip. Quart size Ziplock bags work great for carrying extra ammo onto the field. Keeps moisture out, strong bags, can write the weight, can roll them up for pouch storage. Just awesome versatile buggers. I would recommend the brand name one as well

Something that can be very useful for transportation if you have to rely on public transport is to get a fully enclosed golf bag. As long as you restrain everything so it doesn't bang around it'll take just as good care of your guns as it'll do golf clubs, and it's a lot easier to lug around 'incognito', since you can more easily just alibi that you're carrying a couple golf clubs around. Those bags aren't cheap, but still a lot easier to get than a driver's license and a car if you don't have friends to link up with for the road.

In the rules for a milsim event I saw DMRs must be a actuall service rifle, a M4 with a long suppresor is not enough. I wonder, the only advantage for a DMR is you can use about 2.0 to 2.5 joules, with bigger safety distance, too. Is the more power really that important? Sure, a MK25 or a G28 looks cool, but if you want to play DMR style, why don't take a regular, well balanced 1.8 joule rifle with, let's say 0.3-0.36 g BBs, and add a good LPVO? Question of an unexperienced beginner...
@DD-mp1kl
@DD-mp1kl 10 ай бұрын
@@24darush yeah that's the whole point of DMR's and sniper rifles. More power, bb goes farther, hit targets that are far away enough that they can't reliably hit you back. Going back to my local fields rules, 1.8J would actually fall under DMR/sniper rifle joule limit(granted just barely) and would need to follow the "no shooting anyone within 100ft of you" rule. And if said gun didn't fit the rest of the dmr/sniper rifle rules i probably wouldn't be allowed to use it at all. Always abide by local field rules because they can vary.

1. i can zip tie my mask on my glasses(btw thanks to novritsch who showed me this trick in one of his vids) 2. you will need a lot of hydration during the summer, i have a 2l water container on every game (it stays in the savezones) it saves me a lot of money cuz the drinks sold on the fields are mostly quite expensive. 3. get some friends, playing airsoft alone might be fun, but i promise playing airsoft with friends is way better. 4. its a game if someone tells you that you are hit dont argue just go out and rejoin. 5. wear face protection its a little bit tricky to find the best face protection for you but its better to get a tooth shot out. .edit. 6. you are no super soldier, follow others and work as a team is important. RANDOM STORY AHEAD: a while ago i had a situation where our team dominated the other team to the point where we had to hold us back after the round the ref told the other team to work more as a team after that the team got significant better and was even capable of winning a few rounds against us. 7. communication is key, speaking with your team is quite helpful you can discuss tactics and positions of enemy players.

A 7.4v lipo is in most cases perfectly fine compared to a nimh or a nicd, and as long as your charger isn’t completely terrible and you engage in safe practice it’ll last. Just remember to unplug it from the gun when you’re done to prevent the risk of it ballooning. I run my own equally as old JG G36 on a 7.4v all day and it’s fine (it’s pretty well modified however, but if a 7.4v can handle a high performance JG G36 it should be able to handle a completely standard one)
