pro tip! if you have fogging problems and simultaneously need glasses, dishsoap and a microfiber cloth and buffing the inside of your goggles and both sides of your glasses until it runs clear. this surprisingly works really well. also if you get a magnifying scope, you will be able to look through it even totally fogged and be able to see the image through your scope fairly clearly (although you may need a cheap $20 rail riser to be able to look through it with a mask on. very easy to crutch on if you're a sweaty guy like me who gets fogged in 10 mins of playing. however obviously using your scope as a looking-glass also means you need to keep your gun up at the ready, and pointed in the direction you want to look. so you can easily get tunnel vision too if you're not careful

tbf i find it uncumfortable, i wear a mouthguard with a balaclava and that seems to take the sting out of most of the shots anyway

First airsoft game I ever played I peaked a sniper and if not for my mesh mask it would’ve destroyed my front teeth. My most recent field day got cut short because someone didn’t have face protection and got 2 chipped teeth. Needless to say I’m so thankful for face pro 😅

I run an Altyn helmet with some full seal goggles underneath, I've only fogged once or twice but the visor not only looks cool but it also stopped me from taking a face shot countless times

I play whit goggles and a mash mask I bought from amazon, it was around $20 the mesh mask only have a mesh to protect nose and teeth, but hace mesh to protect the ears and comfortable soft cheek pads, I got hit multiple times in face with that set up and I feel no pain, and is not bulky or uncomfortable

What are your thoughts on something like the Laylax silicone face protection?

I purchased the Laylax mask w/ silicone insert combo a few months ago - it is definately a viable solution, where the mask itself is minimalistic and therefore allows for venting and flexibility whilst the insert buffers incoming shots, where its shape aids in this. It isn't the holy grail for protection for sure but with some fiddling around and the cutting/trimming of the silicone insert to better direct the flow of my warm breath to manage fogging up and it definately requires time in getting used to fitment. One of my issues is how it sits around the nose - its comfortable for me, sure but it definately traps most of the heat leading to SOME amount fogging. I hope that this provides some insight! I am looking into trying mouthguards (SISU branded) as they seem to boast a good fit with minimal disruption to talking, etc so I'll see how that goes!

i would say arent the best for everyone, as they are quite narrow, so some people with bigger/wider heads might find them to tight, so i would recommend looking at mask reviews if you want a paintball mask

I've never seen a field where safety glasses are legal eye protection (Canada). I would never ever ever trust anything that isnt full seal. One wrong shot, one trip or jostle, one bad angle and you're paying with your sight. At least wear some bullet ants or something if you don't want bulk.

I cut my mesh mask into a small mask insert I put into a fishing balaclava for my teeth and small amount of check protection.
