Few Tips I've picked up from some of the more experienced streamers: 1) Matches/Lighters are a free inventory space. Always pick one up. 2) Firelight isn't picked up by ghosts during hunts, so you can use them as a secondary light source during hunts. This also applies to the UV glowstick. 3) You can Stack salt piles for quick and easy 3-star photos. 4) If you have the tier 3 D.O.T.S projector, you can pause its oscillation so that the dots stay in one spot. 5) The Parabolic Mic can help you zero in on the ghost room in larger maps like Sunny Meadows or The High School. 6) Learning how to loop the ghost around obstacles will help you survive if you can't make it to a hiding spot and help you identify it by observing its behavior. 7) Even if it's not one of the 3 evidence, the EMF detector can still help you pinpoint interactions so you can look for other evidence. 8) If you place the ghost writing book down and the ghost throws it, that means it's not one of your evidence, but ONLY if you have 3 evidence. 9) Having a designated Van person who operates the cameras, monitors motion and sound sensors, and brings in supplies can be invaluable. 10) Never leave Grian alone with the Cursed Object.

@@pablotescobar2744 When you're playing on a difficulty where you can find 3 pieces of evidence, if you place a ghost writing book in the room and the ghost throws it instead of writing in it, it means it's not one of the pieces of evidence and you can cross it out to help narrow your search. However, this doesn't work on higher difficulties where you only have 2, 1, or 0 pieces of evidence in order to identify a ghost.

Events always turn off the lights in that room. Unless it's red light. So if light just turns off, and manifests, then probably event.

Yeah first day I was spooked by everything but playing with my property buddies now I'm just not afraid to die and constantly in the house hiding or leading the ghost around objects till a hunt ends. Ive only been playing fir 2 days now but I can play by myself and find out what ghost it is usually in 5 minutes or less

Cool tip i learned as someone whos been playijg for only 2 days now that my buddy taught me is if you got a tripod drop it place a camera on ot and now you basically got 2 items in 1 hand so now you basically have 4 items another thing is the headlamp doesnt take up a hand slaught so use those over flashlights and always pickup a lighter it doesnt take any of your slaughts either. My team on the challenge mode right now first thing we do is quickly use the mirror see where the ghost is and start setting up the whole room with every item in the truck and we usually get the ghost within less then 5 minutes our fastest full completion was around 1 minute

Hope someone can maybe answer my question, used to watch people play awhile back all the time and when they would see their breath they would mark freezing temps as evidence. Played for the first time yesterday and would see my breath but it ended up not being freezing temps, is it broken or just actually have to look at the temperature to know for sure?

I’m struggling so hard to find freezing temps with the base thermometer. It always goes to around 5 Celsius and then never goes freezing when in the room and then I usually end up guessing the wrong ghost

​@@jeremyclarkson412no. Do not do that. That just makes every room COLDER and therefore HARDER to identify the room. Freezing breath doesn't guarantee the room. It's just "usually" the room. Has to be ON the freezing temp of 0°C or lower. A few degrees above zero still emits cold breath. But, find the cold room, leave the thermo there, and keep coming back to check it periodically. It often takes a long time, just like dots.

It's just the different audio settings between all things. PC, PS5, and the in game settings from both. It's a bit of a cluster getting it to work right. Even between 2 ppl both on PC.

@@masquatch yes! Devs said there will be voice chat for console. Unfortunately a few mechanics in game like the spirit box will be text only for a bit however.

Just the button presses. For privacy reasons, it can’t detect what you saying through it unlike PC.

If you see the blue light next to the mic icon it means the game is detecting what you're saying, so the ghost can hear the questions you're asking, unfortunately on console the ghost can't "understand" what you're saying yet but it reacts to the sound of your voice
