Song of Creation I've found works well with Pako and Haldan as you're essentially creating a hand in exile with Pako so discarding your hand is much less taxing.

Hey oh, So I think you were spot on with your assessment of Thassa's oracle and Illuna. The deck is not at the CDH level. It is not at the casual level. It is somewhere in the middle - which is why I love it. I just recently built it and it is one of my favorite decks to play. The combo is difficult enough to pull off that when you do finally pull it off, it feels really good. most decks can react to it IF they plan accordingly so it ends up keeping everyone on their toes. Deckbuilding was challenging. One of the key things I noticed was that I really wanted cards to say "put the cards on the bottom of your library in ANY order" instead of "random" order to ensure that the oracle is truly on the bottom so that I can secure the win. I'm still working out some of the kinks, but overall, great deck idea. Bravo and thank you!

You have to add the Urza's lands (Tower, Mine, Power Plant) to the collection deck. Fits the theme and helps cast artifacts when assembled.

The "opponents' choice" idea is actually a huge aspect of my Kynaios and Tiro group hug deck. It helps deflect blame and keeps your deck off the threat radar.

Speaking of assembling, I have a deck where my goal is to have a Protector of the Crown and give it indestructible and hexproof, making it so all damage I take is redirected to an indestrucle creature that draws me an additional card each turn. Since I'm playing a ton of equipment tutors in the deck I also play the Kaldra trio. Super fun :)

I think that with the Epic cards, there’s a few really good ways to use any one of them: 1. Have a commander with expensive activated ability. Just steal your opponents’ creatures with Memnarch or get that creature you just discarded to the battlefield. Speaking of discard, 2. Maximum hand size. Two of them care about it, so why have seven snakes when you can have twelve? While you’re at it, there’s probably a few good ways to dump that useless hand of yours. 3. Landfall. Never said you couldn’t play lands 4 Flash. Just throw Vedalken Orrery in a five color deck and, late game or insane mana combos, get two Epics Edit: 5. Sheshiro. Snakes draw you cards? Cards give you Snakes? Spellbook? Thought Vessel? 3/3s EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! That’s all I can think of right now. Enchantments are cool, but why not abuse ALL of them?

More in depth You can also use Mimic Vat to use your commander during Epic With Memnarch, his Epic doesn’t care about hand size, and you’re probably already in the market for colorless spells, so Kozilek? (the discard to counter one). I think there’s another one in blue too. And if you’re doing that, you can also include Magic Mirror to counter even more

One of my fav ways to win in all of magic: Riftsweeper + Scrap Doll + Hornet sting with infinite etbs, mana, and draw triggers (I play this in saffi eriksdotter, easy enough) Proceed to make hornet sting your only card, play and draw it 200+ times to do 1 damage at a time to kill the table!

I do not look around much online, so I'm not sure if it's a common thing but one of my favorite commander pairs is Bruse and Akiri. They offer a good early and mid/late game tandem. A quick or normal start gets Akiri out a bit early, and she benefits from artifacts. Then, when she's geared up and ready, BRUSE BRUSE comes out, gives her some Double Striking encouragement, and there it is.

I remember watching the original video and building a Naya deck with Obuun as the commander. The deck is expensive, but it works; I knocked two people out of a game by discarding 7 lands with damage doubling enchantments. I would also suggest doing Breena the Demagogue Knight Tribal for a Haakon deck, but you just did one for her and I understand if you don't want to. I will probably switch mine over soon. Thank Eldriane for giving us a bunch of playable Knights.

I had a Sisay, Weatherlight Captain deck with the Shrines and Enduring Ideal. Used the "Words of *" enchantments to avoid decking myself. It was pretty fun, but every game was basically a race to activate solitaire mode because it was too many enchantments for people to deal with unless they specifically built against it.

Been enjoying your videos since the beginning, thanks for the great content. My first ever deck was an aminatou trade permanents deck where i used her -1 ability to get my stuff back. It ended up being really mean, i actually took it apart because it wasn't very fun to play against. I also built a ghen deck for a friend where one of the wincons was enduring ideal. The idea was to cast enduring ideal with ghen on the field with the first enchantment you go get being fall of thran to destroy all lands. You then use ghen to sac thran and recur another enchantment from your graveyard. So now even though you can only cast 1 spell per turn you can still use ghen and your opponents have no lands so they dont get to cast any spells. Lol i guess that one is kinda mean too.

Absolute same on the Aminatou deck, was the first EDH deck I built too - Puca's Mischief and Perplexing Chimera won me so many games until I realised how oppressive and unfun they could be for the other players

@@tkessel3866 I don't have the decklist anymore but I can give you a few ideas Choice of damnations, manifold insights, fact or fiction, steam augury, intuition, things like that. Also just search for cards that have "council's dilemma" and "will of the council" in scryfall. Also just search for cards that have the words "opponent choose." Full disclosure: it was a silly ass deck that probably won't win very many games but it was fun to bamboozle people and make them doubt their own decision making process lmao.

I assembled 'witch tron' (Bog brew witch, bubbling cauldron and festering newt) in a bad build of korvold a few years ago. And one of my friends asked can you make witch tribal to use that as a wincon... It's one of those decks I've never pursued building but I think there's some potential in it. I think using Lyzolda as the commander and running things like lifeline and shirei shizo's caretaker there could be a janky way to kill opponents with stuff like wound reflection etc. But you'd run anything referencing witches so you could throw in the cat oven combos and other stuff like season of the witch, witches familiar possibly.

I have a Chisei deck that I absolutely love running out. You can repeatedly activate chapters on sagas like Kiora Bests the Sea God and Time of Ice to basically tap down everyone's stuff forever and you can do silly things with Cauldron of Souls and persist creatures. Wincons usually involve creating a million Chronozoas or blinking Master of Waves and going wide.

Mirror box would be crazy with Helm of kaldra, make 5/5s for 1 mana each. If you're already building to tutor non-creature artifacts you could tutor for mirror box too.

Mana Severance with Mutate Thassa's. Lets you search any number of lands from your deck and exile them so the deck is Commander- Thassa's Oracle and Mana Severannce and a bunch of lands

I run Illuna with all of the new fractal token creators, along with cards that give creatures double strike. Nobody realizes that if I mutate Illuna on to a 5/5 Fractal token, it turns Illuna into an 11/11 that one shots when given double strike.

I built the Illuna Oracle deck as well. I use a lot of instants and sorcery spells that create tokens for mutate targets; then I run a ton of control magic and ramp with a few tutors. I find it easier to get Thassa’s Oracle in hand then mutate Illuna.

Hey, I made a deck where it has all cycling cards in the deck and I can reanimate everything I cycled with Eerie Ultimatum. I also have living death and stuff like that so I can reanimate my entire graveyard or at least the creatures. Do you have any suggestions on how to make it more linear?

The only artifacts I really see played are like Sol Ring and other mana rocks, but not much past that.

About Varragoth. I put him in my demon tribal deck (which has quite a high power level in my meta). But i won't use him as a commander for the same reason why i took my Zur the Enchanter deck apart. You rly tend to tutor for the same things every time. It's consistent allright, but almost every game feels the same if others can't interact with it.

Illuna oracle exists...you dont need it at the bottom you need to draw it you just need to be able to cast oracle, having it at the bottom works too but typically its filled with draw spells and token creators

for now my only remaining paper edh deck is my tatyova. could ez make this 'good' by slapping in lab maniac and race to finish but it's built to do politics and getting to critical mass takes a pokerface. usually goes off mid to lategame with a praetor's council and the green or blue myojin available. wincon is meloku+manabond as token engine while slapping an akroma's memorial alongside the rest of the deck on the table because infinite mana,draw, life & turns. 👌
