To summarize: A list of the major cities. Erfurt may be the only surprise, which I did enjoy. Personally, I detest major cities and if we are to use beauty as the criteria, I would suggest, without any specific order: Rothenburg odT, Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen, Cochem, Quedlinburg, Goslar, Einbeck, Celle, Marburg, Bamberg, Monschau and Passau just to mention a few I have been to myself. High on my list of places to visit next are Regensburg, Nürnberg, Idstein and Tauberbischofsheim. There are probably many, many more a lot more beatiful than e.g. Berlin.
