@@MrDEWaters partially true, comments do contribute to engagement stats, and if i recall correctly they're weighted heavier than likes. this has been the norm for most content sharing platforms now, to the detriment of the readily pushed content and viewers.

I took a day trip there on my vacation to Seattle. Took a whale watch tour and met one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever encountered. We became fast friends. Kept in touch with her well after. I only knew her for about two years and had that one day in person with her, but she made a lifetime impact on me.

I hardily agree...all are beautiful, quaint, and a delight. It was fun to listen to so many mispronounced names!! We are used to correcting visitors because many names are Native American names. Was pleasantly surprised that the commentator nailed Sequim but messed up on Bellingham!! (BellingHAM...not BeillingHum.)

Get on the Washington State Ferry at the ferry landing west of Anacortes and go out to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. (Maybe take a map so you can name the small islands as they float by.) Watch for bald eagles and orca whales along the way. Seven of the islands have schools. Shaw Island, served by the ferry, has maybe ten children. Orcas Island may be the best one to visit by car. It has trout fishing and hiking, especially east of the town of Eastsound.

Regarding North Bend hikes, Rattlesnake Ledge is a good and much easier hike, very scenic. Just be careful at the top-people fall and die trying to take good photos or corral their dogs. Also, the view atop Mt. Si is leagues better than the video clip (not sure what that’s from, but definitely not Mt. Si). I climbed Haystack rock on top of Mt. Si a few times, and the views are even better, but I don’t really recommend it, as it’s technically a scramble (basic rock climbing). I did see a mountain goat up there though, so I can vouch for that.

If you're going to do a video on a state, please get the pronunciations correct. (props for pronouncing Sequim correctly) It's Bell - ing - HAM. North Bend are two words. Winthrop - the route shown is the North Cascades Highway. It's a beautiful and geologically diverse area. It's closed in the winter and doesn't generally open until the middle or late spring. Going to the San Juans (four are served by WA state ferries) in a car on the Ferry - ferry reservations are *strongly recommended* - ESPECIALLY when leaving the islands.

I have been to most of these places but I'll be honest I have never heard of La Conner or Winthrop. Also, no offense but North Bend is not a tourist destination. It's a nice, quiet town but I would not recommend it as a tourist spot like Sequim during Lavender season or Friday Harbor.

To bad they only did places that are driving distance from Seattle and didn’t show the beautiful scabland of Washington, Steptoe Butte, or anywhere near Spokane WA, the biggest eastern Washington state city and is the biggest city on Interstate 90 between Seattle and Chicago. They didn’t show any beautiful places in eastern Washington.

You're not going to see the Northern Lights in Bellingham. That's a completely bizarre and unrealistic point to anchor on.

It used be. Western Washington is rapidly becoming one big metro area though. I get the impression that a lot of people in Bellingham are retired. There isn't any large employer nearby as far as I can tell.

Yeah,it kind of is comparable. The same idiotic principles are used to run both places into the ground. Both places have high taxes, employ overwhelming amounts of delusional government workers, high cost of living,no jobs for unskilled workers, and both places enjoy high crime stats. So there’s that…
