Then why can't the player jump higher? Unfortunately, there seems to be no changes in gravity at all on different planets. Also the planets don't rotate, nor do the moons... The stars appear to be the only things that are actually rotating. #realism

Sure the game has generated some interesting and weird things but the footage you show at the beginning and end of the video is from E3 2013 and the game looks nothing like that, oh you might find a nice planet with that vegetation but the creatures don't interact this way or have that variety to create such a scene in the finished game.

Mann...this game could be the best game of all time, if they added survival mechanics like ark (plus, having to go to planets or shops with usable liquids or gasses to make H2O, tameing/riding/ battling, maybe even have an animal arena minigame on some planets with rewards, eating lifeforms that are safe to eat, ships with animal lockers and crop fields, hostile lifeforms, highly customizable home base ships, advanced weaponry (blow up a planet anyone? Maybe even a star, the game is massive, just make the weapons difficult to attain so its not greifed, and protected planets guarded by seriously badass guards) And large colonies of people (a map to find them) a reason for them to all stay in one particular part of the galaxy (boosted curancy rate, best markets, or something) ...like...its so close to a truely legendary game.. No mans sky II, survival edition. Make this a thing.

Those words suggest (and are usually used to mean, by Creationists) that there is a directed process. There isn't, as Gameshark Gary says. We did not grow teeth or limbs to cope with a specific process. We have the teeth and limbs we have to enable us to survive. Those that didn't have them died out. Evolution does not 'do' or 'intend' anything.
