@@georgeadams6254 the reason why in my opinion it is more of a scandal is that VAR has the ability to fix mistakes that referee made during the. So far the English football league has stated they got at least 8 calls wrong. If you think about it VAR is very controversial because technology is meant to help the referee not have them get calls right. Not to mention in championship league VAR has been used very well. In the past 2 seasons, UEFA has only gotten 2 calls wrong.

Nice video. I'm one of those who likes VAR. For too long, bad linesman/ref decisions have ruined games without a chance of it being reviewed before the outcome is decided. I'm more than happy to wait 1-5 minutes to see the correct call, as being correct is more important than letting the game flow. Even though there might be some ambiguity of the decision (hand balls, wreckless challenges, etc), I would still prefer more correct decisions over a 'blind eye'. I do agree that they may need to look at some things, such as the offside rule and how it's interpreted, and also the handballs being deflected off an opponent in the box (despite unnatural position) but I feel it's given us much more accurate results since it's been implemented. Personally, the stoppage time minutes have always been the most exciting minutes of any game, so if VAR adds 5 to it, I'm all for it. Creates a grand finale to most tight games.

That Götze transfer story is bullshit. Dortmund had no obligation to sell Götze and if they hadn't completely agreed to the sale a week before the end of their season Bayern wouldn't have announced the transfer. They could've just waited another week. Dortmund complaining about it being 'unsportsman-like' behaviour is just another attempt to point the finger at Bayern as being the 'big bad bully', which is basically their whole philosphy- be likeable as the underdog trying to stand up to big bad Bayern and in the end always end up with nothing. 1. VAR is one of the best things football has ever had, this coming from a guy who is constantly seeing such technology being used awfully or something as manipulated. VAR is great, referees are the ones who keep on doing shit about it. - The only real thing I have against VAR is the amount of game time which goes away for revision. 2. If you want to talk about controversial leagues, talk about the portuguese league. Disgusting, to say the very least. From clubs which go through absurd amounts of time to pay their players salaries without being renegated; to irrational discrimantion by fans; to its main clubs (Porto, Benfica) being almost yearly officialy accused of corruption and bribery (and I won't even mention what happened to Sporting in the season before Rui Patrício and many other players left the club).
