Clough forever referred to Juventus as "those cheating Eye-tal-ian Bastards" but also conceded they didn't need to buy the ref - they were much the better side. A form of justice was done - Johan Cruyff and Co beat Juve in the final. And Brian Clough won exactly as many European titles at Forest in 18 years as Juve have in 63.
