@@androfanatic9548 Soooo...1. it's a matter of how big your team is. 2.Not every movie has to be seen right before the list. I could talk about movies I saw 10 years ago. And in 30 years you can watch a lot of movies. 3. If they can't see a movie for time limitations - which would be perfectly fine - they shouldn't talk about it! The mistakes they make (e.g. the one with Texas Chainsaw where they fabricated a completly different ending) are plain embarrassing. It's not like the wrongly pronounce the second name of the third unit cameracrane operator. They make big absurd story mistakes.

@@Insomayeah I agree. This is still journalism and it requires research. Even if you don't watch the film there's ways to fact check this stuff. It's only gonna irk the people that have seen the film. But here we are, moaning about it and boosting that algorithm, so maybe it's by design.

The ending from the book that Knock at the Cabin came from is worse. Wen is accidentally shot from a scuffle over the gun, it doesn't count because it wasn't a willing sacrifice. Her fathers agree that even if they could stop the apocalypse through scarifice, they don't want to because they don't want to believe in a God that would let an innocent like Wen die how she did. So they leave and let what happens happen.

I would’ve been pissed if I would’ve spent time reading that, just to reach such a trash ending. Then when you add what the first response to your comment said also happened in the book, it makes it even worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole movie was made because someone with a little money and power was also pissed at the book’s ending and decided to literally change it themselves.😆

@@judemapp8804The only problem that I had with the mist ending was that condescending woman giving him that judgmental look after she inexplicably made it through the mist by herself and inexplicably saved her son.🙄 That part pissed me off but other than that, the ending was messed up but I understood it.🤷‍♂️ But if I take time to read a whole book, I not only need a satisfying ending but I for damn sure wouldn’t want an “open for interpretation” ending. That’s a whole waste of my entire reading time. If I don’t care how a book ends then why am I reading it?….GIVE ME AN ENDING YOU LAZY bastards! 😆

@@jwdathefax377 I meant the ending to The Mist in the original short story is open ended rather than the more definitive ending of the film. The thing why people are mad about this ending is that they are just used of protagonists putting up a fight and finding a chance. In this case, the entire movie is a statement about people’s complacency and that they’re too afraid to say something when there’s something bad going on. Also, it’s clearly shown that both of them are like most of us. Just hoping that a solution will come by itself.. and we all hope that they have the fight, I obviously wanted them to live too. But there’s plenty of real-life stories where people in shock also don’t put any fight while they’re being lined up for execution and hanging, they’re just mindlessly going on for the ride. The minute the father tries to shortly fight back, he’s instantly put in place and realises that they don’t have what it takes to do anything. It’s so bleak and hardcore like ‘funny games’, and naturally feels like a defeat for us as an audience. It feels like a total injustice to see the bad guys win without any fight. But just because of this bleakness, this ending is going to stick with me for a long time, like that of the mist for example.. but still, totally get it why it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It’s a real ballsy way to end the story.

For The Dark and the Wicked, I prefer to think that Michael survived, given he clearly didn't sever an artery upon slitting his throat. Given how the blood is gushing and not spurting, and how dark it is, he severed a vein. With the amount of blood he was losing in the time we see him means that, so long as his wife put pressure on it and called 911, Michael likely survived. At least if the timing of her and the girls' arrival is when the movie makes it seem, which is seconds after he did so. Also, I think the most disturbing part of The Dark and the Wicked wasn't that; it was the fact that this entity could jump from person to person just by them being in contact with its' current/past victim. We know this because after it comes disguised as the preacher, Louise calls the number it gave her...only for the man to pick up to be the man who the entity was disguised as to answer, and say how Louise sounds just like his daughter who had died. It's implied he then commits suicide, given how tormented and terrified the man is.

Fall is not horror.... a thriller. It borrows the ending from other flicks also, not bad though.

I was so disappointed by Titane. Dull, had no sympathy for the lead and couldn't buy the premise of a father being so desperate for his lost son he would just overlook everything including obvious pregnancy. I found myself cringing through most of it. And I like body horror but Titane was just silly.

Just a couple of questions: (1) What is a "professional climber?" Do people actually get paid for, well, climbing up poles? (2) In KNOCK AT THE CABIN, if he didn't kill his partner, the apocalypse would happen anyway and everyone would be dead - so what would it matter? He'd be dead, so no feelings of remorse.
@charliek7896

The people who saw the vision stated that if the family let the apocalypse happen, the family will be alone and wonder the earth cosmically and permanently. It's unclear whether they would die. The decision to allow or stop the apocalypse is more complicated than you remember.
