really shocked to not see Tsukuyomi's Moonlit Chokuto - i feel like its got so many good points it's decorative but not gaudy - its a straight blade with a nice effect that doesn't overpower and the color palette is great

I'd also mention Asphodelos Samurai blade as well. Simplistic yet elegant design when sheathed that looks very cool but not overly flashy when unsheathed

Going on the same direction, I feel that Manderville Samurai Blade is also really interesting. I like how they kept the katana itself simple while giving the saya a really refined look. Truly beffiting of a Manderville artwork.

Personally, the Augmented Crystarium Samurai Blade was the very reason for me to give samurai a chance. I was never a fan of katanas, but I love messers and this one looks just like one, simple enough to not be distracting yet very elegant.

I would also advise people to check out Katana of the Round That entire weapon line is very underrated in my opinion, their glows are very nice and you get the DSR weapon models without the extreme particle effects

Im still quite new in the game, but I have never seen some of these katanas. I now have some goals to aim towards. Ill definitely try and get the augmented law's order blade. It looks really cool.

I main SAM and the Augmented Law's Order is my favourite. There are some lovely looking swords in the game, but I hate the scabbard (saya) on literally 99% of them. I prefer the understated, more traditional looking ones. But yeah, it was a happy moment when I finally got my Law's Order. There is also the added bonus that on your way to getting it you'll get the Hoshikiri Recollection, too. Law's Order turns into Blade's Fealty, which is also featured in the video, but I didn't even bother making it. Law's Order all the way!

Pyros Blade is the best Samurai weapon available in the game for me, I would take a look in this before deciding that Law Order is better

I like my blades simple and more on the side of realism, so I'm still using a lvl 70 Elemental Blade from Eureka. But If I ever decide to give my samurai a glow-up into a glamurai, I'll definitely be chasing a few of these.

If you are looking for SAM-weapons that should have been mentioned would be the crafted weapons from Ifrit (ARR), Ramuh (ARR), Shiva (ARR) or T13 (ARR Coils of Bahamut) (since they are all lvl 50 you can use those as levelglam as well). A weapon that gets overlooked a lot but has a very unique design is the Ronka-Blade that you can get for nuts from the Shadowbringer-hunt-vendor in the Crystarium/Eulmore

Now lvling SAM. Got a water style kimono-ish glam from mog shop with those wooden clogs. So Seiryu katana was a perfect fit. Like the particle effects from Susano'o but don't like that hilt, crossguard and sheath. Byako ink effects are awesome, don't like the sheath. Susaku wanna explore that with the red SAM kimono.

The katana earned by the Tsukuyomi ex trial has always been one I'm a huge fan of. There glow is nice and gentle, with the blade being lovely and not too loud. Samurai weapons/katanas are all rather pretty in this game though. With how many primal there are, and with many of them looking relatively similar there is a choice for every color scheme you can imagine.

Katanas were a symbol of class and high status so it was normal for them to to be eye catchy as well as lethal.

@@Punkadelic2112 Not really until recently, Katana were the Japanese equivalent to European Longsword: the base weapon for soldiers and the older Tachi became a rarer sight, often worn by officer, but all were thinked to be weapons at first and art at second, the art part being the quality of the balde, never the ornament until recently. All the historicals blade are simple to be usable, some Saya have some leaves or waves pattern but that's all, even engraving were rare

Warwolf Striking top, you can buy it from the PvP vendor in one of the cheapest options. There's a variation that's a rare drop from Lv50 ARR dungeons called the Darklight sets, difference being this version has an insignia on it that imo kinda makes it better.

My all time fav SAM weapon is Augemented Law's Order, which I went through the unpleasant experience of grinding resistance weapons for the first time during 6.0 to get. When barely anyone was doing Bosja or DR. My 2nd pick for fav weapon would probably be Pyro's blade from Eureka, which I am probably going to grind next. Tho I hear it's about equal or worse than Bosjan weapons so please pray for me.
