I used to live in Fredericksburg Virginia and close to downtown there was this tower like building and to this day just thinking of it my eyes well up and I am filled with a fear like no other and that’s not the only place in Virginia where I’ve experienced that so I concur. Lol not to mention the time I went to a lake with my friend at like two in the morning and things kept slamming on the wraparound porch of the house that was there and we could hear someone walking but the house was abandoned. Right before that we almost got murdered by a 12 point buck so that was a pretty scary night all in all. OH! Then there was the time I got lost on a drive home from Spotsylvania and I passed a graveyard and I couldn’t stop looking at it and when I got home there was a ghost of a black woman wearing what looked to be slave clothing in my kitchen and I had to tell her to leave. And let us not forget the bunnyman bridge.

He told us they heard hoops and hollers of the rebels in a area they were filming where the battle was the most bloody, at first they thought it was the actors playing tricks until they found everyone was there. Thing was, no one was in those woods and they believe it was the ghosts of the rebels giving out their war cries before going into battle. @@1Luv87 well. Per my experience in the small town of Corsicana Tx. I went to visit a relative in Navarro Hospital. I stayed over night because it was a surgery. The entrance kept opening and closing by itself. And the administratiors chair kept wheeling off to one side or another. And in the hallway where my relatives room was there was always two things loud stomping even when it was empty or the sound of those Gurney's being wheeled back and forth. Then there is this restaurant. Napolis. It used to be the jalapeno grill. But its haunted by a women who was killed by being pushed out the window of tge second story. They long since put a doll in the window of the top floor but it makws her mad so when you'r downstairs you can hear her slamming doors or stomping so hard she moves the lights. I went to visit two places. A cemetery on the eastside. There is this slim stretch of road that leads to a really deep dip in the road. Two small children drowned there when it rained really heavy. So now everytime it rains you can hear them cry for help. Thats the one stree that only has 1 street light in the whole city. The cemetery by it has a lot of vengeful spirits to the point everyone would rather take the long way around than drive by it. A middle school i used to attened was. Drane intermediate school C floor was the most haunted. The lockers slammed opened and closed all the time. Sometimes the door would close and not open so it was a point we had to move class rooms. The things are endless.....

I knew Cali and NY were going to be on the list. Especially Indiana and Utah. My high school teacher used to tell us so much stories about her home state Utah and its haunted Indian burial grounds. Then my college friend told me about Indiana and how his dad used to tell him his childhood hauntings stories. Both my former teacher and college friend seemed pretty darn convinced that their home states were notoriously known for being haunted. I’m just surprised Louisiana wasn’t on the list.

It was just a family plot, buried together. I don’t think there was anything that needed to be kept secret (maybe he was trying to make it sound more ominous??) He actually missed a good chunk of the story... Decades after Nancy’s death, a National Guard training camp, Camp Atterbury, was coming together and developers began the process of moving the graves that were in the way, a plan that Nancy's her grandchildren weren't too fond of. After some intense discussions, developers agreed to keep her plot intact. This worked out until the county decided that Nancy's plot was smack dab in the middle of the road they'd already started building. Despite objections from Nancy's extended family, the county pushed ahead with their plans. In retaliation, Nancy's grandson Daniel grabbed his shotgun and camped out near his grandmother's plot, refusing to allow anyone to step foot on the mound. For weeks, Daniel risked his life (and trouble with the law), defending Nancy's final resting place, until every road worker was too terrified to cross his path. At this point, the county relented, and simply split the lanes right down the middle and worked around the plot. The county placed a concrete slab above the grave to protect it from inattentive drivers, and in August 1912, it was officially granted a historical marker, presumably to keep people from asking why the heck there was a giant hill in the middle of the road.
