Mahomes had every single right to be extremely pissed off on his rant where Kadarius toney was called offsides. Not only was that the first time since like 1992 that offensive offsides has been called against the Chiefs, it was during a VERY pivotal point in the game, and wasn't even that bad. Literally 8 guys weren't called for being way further offsides for other teams during the other Week14 games, and there were also 10's of instances this year alone where WRs were wayy offsides and weren't called. Not only that, but the refs are literally (by rule) supposed to give the player or a coach a warning if a player is lining up too close to the LOS, and that didn't happen for the Chiefs. Not only that, but Kadarius Toney signaled to the line judge once he was set and the line judge didn't tell him to move back (in which he is literally supposed to). Overall, that f'ed up penalty was 100% on the Refs for not doing their job correctly and Mahomes had every single right to call them out for being idiots.

I couldn’t believe how Mahomes acted after that call. Toney was offsides, it was the right call. And then to keep popping off after the game, lost some respect for him bc he acted like that.
@aryksanchez50708 ай бұрын
It's cuz originally everyone thought toney a pro receiver at this point check with the refs and they okay him then call him for it which would justify mahomes getting pissed at the refs for it......but then it came out that toney didn't check with the ref first like a receiver is supposed to.
@Oldgrumpyvet678 ай бұрын
@@aryksanchez5070 why should they even have to check with the refs? Do they not have common sense ?
@aryksanchez50708 ай бұрын
Because when you are lined up outside like that looking at the football to see when it's snapped most of the time what they see from the sideline is a very tiny tip that could easily be 1 yard off it's common knowledge from someone that's actually played wide out always check with the ref because ultimately what they see is the real line of scrimage. @@Oldgrumpyvet67

Other than Brady (because he was such an jerk so often) and similar players (AB), it's actually kind of nice to see these players have some passion for the game. These freak-outs are a result of caring and, in small doses, actually shows humanity. If used properly, it can be a great lesson in getting heated and the consequences, because we all get overly passionate about something in our lives. If not you end up with: "And that is a play that resulted in a result (we can't offend anyone by indicating what happened as the team who did not have success might be offended). We have seen those plays before and they are plays that result in the ball either being advanced or not. Look the receiver is gently placing the ball on the ground and calmly walking to the sidelines. Most players now are afraid of drawing a taunting penalty. As you know taunting has been expanded to include awkward looks and thinking negatively about anything while playing. Thankfully he walked instead of running, which now draws a 10 yard penalty. Oh, the flag just came out. Can you believe the WR just said he doesn't like ice cream? That is so hateful and really degrading to ice cream manufacturers. That kind of speech cannot be tolerated. That will draw a 25 yard penalty, automatic 3 first downs, and all WR's for the team being ejected from the league."

He got pissed cuz even in the nfl the first thing a receiver does is they check with the ref to make sure they are lined up and not offsides it's rare when a receiver gets called for offsides because the ref will tell them if they are before the snap.....in this case toney didn't check with the ref that's why he was called.
