The blue shell isn't even an "I win" button - it's a "you lose" button. That's why it's so universally reviled. A weapon you can only grab when you're behind, that is only guaranteed to hit the lead player. So it's not going to even get you back into the race, it's literally just there to punish whoever is doing well just for... doing well.

you do realize you can get the blue shell in 4th place right? unless there's a huge huge gap, probably because of a giant skill gap in the players, you can occasionally hit 1st-3rd with a single blue shell and jump to the front of the pack. it's only a "you lose" button when you're already so much better than the other players winning was almost garunteed. anyone who thinks the blue shell only works as a big F you is just a sore loser who only enjoys the game when they can dominate every single race.

Regular players don't have that much of a skill gap that they can afford the disruption from a blue shell. It's just a game, nobody really cares but excuses like yours are just dumb.

good point, but i feel like this list focuses on weapons that span across games in a series. and the pistol since CE has just been all over the map in terms of feel, usage, design, power, etc. to the point i don't think its iconic. I would argue the Battle Rifle is more so just because of its consistent design and presence in most Halo games.

Doom 3 might be the black sheep, but for me, its a great game, yes its a horror shooter rather than just a shooter but it was far ahead of its time graphic wise as well as AI intelligence of the enemies, and i also enjoyed the story and the dark atmosphere of the game. And i still enjoy it to this day.

I want to say my fave from fallout (not 100% sure the name of it) but I think it is called the guardian rule or overseers rifle. And pretty much any gun with the double projectile weapon cause once upgraded I was able to take out a deathclaw with one well placed shot with the sneak bonus damage!

First, Doom's Super Shotgun makes an appearance in BL3 as Hellwalker (and it makes a guitar sound when fired so you know it's metal af) Second, a honorable mention: The Unkempt Harold from BL2. Because if you're able to stand out on a game with over 17 million unique weapons, you're pretty iconic.

Nah , hardcore gamer here and I don’t know the weapon , (i do know the game of course) I don’t play PlayStation. For a weapon to be “iconic” it has to be recognized by most gamers. So it most be either on a big multi platform saga , or if it is from an exclusives game , it most be a huge thing , like : “I don’t own that console , but of course I know the game and that weapon “ like: Zelda, halo , gears of war or God of war. Like really huge mega games. Many Xbox & pc players barely know a thing about ratchet & clank’s weapons Many don’t even know the game itself. A good comparison would be Fable. It’s a truly beloved saga for Xbox players , but must PlayStation players know little to nothing about its story or it’s weapons.

Not to gears , gears of war is together with halo the 2 biggest Xbox games of all time , gears of war is on level with god of war in terms of fame. That’s why they are both mentioned in this video. Ratchet & clank is on pair with something like Fable. And that is why it isn’t shown here. You not knowing the Lancer is only you. But almost every gamer watched the old gears of war cinematic trailers. They were all the time in tv , on super markets , on football games. I gave my daughter a metal replica of the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, when she graduated High school. She got Dante's sword Rebellion when she graduated college. (I got one of my degrees the same year, so I got myself the Red Queen...she was jealous.) I have a tradition of giving a sword (or hand weapon) as graduation gifts. Usually tailored to the personality of the recipient. It started by going shopping with my niece when she was 2, I was buying a katana, she said she wanted the purple one, I bought it and I told her she could have it when she turned 18. (She got it 2 years ago.) So a few years after buying the katana, when my oldest nephew graduated... I figured, "No kid should go into adulthood unarmed." So he got a traditional knight's arming sword, as did his brother. Their sister got a jian. Now my relatives/friends look forward to seeing what I give them. My brother had fruit ready, to play Fruit Ninja, when his oldest graduated last year. You can guess what I am getting my nephew Thor when it's his turn. My niece graduating this year is getting a handheld sickle, with a brass knuckle grip, and a window breaker on the pommel. She's kind of dark.

I hope there will be more of these since there are so many weapons from so many games. Especially RPGs. The Lavantor from Shining Force 2 is one weapon that is really legendary. It is a sword that makes meteor's fall from the sky. Frostmorn from War Craft 3, and WoW. The Twin Blades of Azanoth from War Craft 3, and WoW. The Sword of Light from Shining Force 1 and 2, The Sword of Darkness from Shining Force 2. Thunderfurry. The Butchers Cleaver from Diablo 1. The list could go on and on. With how iconic Frostmorn is I thought it was going to be on here. Onimusha has some pretty legendary weapons as well.

The ray gun when you were able to upgrade it was some of the most fun I've ever had lol but I think the buster sword is more iconic than the key blade (even though the buster sword is a homage to the dragon slayer sword from berserk)

For me I think my favourite game weapon is the Albert from RE7. I feel like feeling the power from a gun is something very few games achieve but you really get that feeling from the Albert IMO especially from the sound of it.

In terms of being iconic, yes, but it has very limited time in the hands of the player tbh... like, yeah Arthas carries it through 21 or so campaign missions, but I feel like it being in an rts setting dramatically dilutes your time spent actually making use of it in a way Tl:dr, awesome lore relevance, minimal at best player use relevance

Mega buster, energy sword, awp from CS, ebony and ivory and rebellion from DMC, saw cleaver from BB, portal gun, 99% hit weapons from Xcom series, hidden blade from AC, golden gun from 007, omniwrench from R&C, Sly Coopers Cane, Frostmourne, etc

Ratchet and Clank's RYNO. The variatons from the first and second game were the best. Fromsoft's Moonlight Greatsword.

Some honorable mentions: Hidden blades from AC, Ludwigs Blade can be obtained in every from software game in some form (or saw cleaver from BB), nail from hollowknight.

I hope we see more of these weapons represented in games that are iconic and should hit the spot light in a future video on this channel. Here are a couple more (mostly firearms - so perhaps this could be another focus on a separate video) from the classics that should hit a list of iconic/legendary weapons: 1. The C.S. AWP sniper 2. The Garand rifle (I know it's based on real life but you've got to agree - it's generating some kind of pleasure to hear that clip go empty), started in Medal of Honor series and brought in C.o.D. WW2 themed series, Battlefield and other WW2-themed shooters 3. The Pump-Action-Shotgun: it used to be one of the best weapons in some classic shooter games, especially in original Mafia with 8 rounds in magazine and 1-shot-1-kill factor and had more iterations either by the Pump-Action Shotgun or the Trench Gun name 4. The minigun in older GTA games 5. The Silverballers from Hitman series - also the Garroting line could be included, but these guns are even on the covers of older games 6. The pulse rifle in Alien vs. Predator series and Alien - collonial universe 7. The N7 automatic riffle (can't remember it's exact designation) from Mass Effect series, it's one of the first weapons available and can serve Sheppard in battle up to the end if upgraded properly 8. The Desert Eagle - so many games where this gun made it's appearance (probably C.S. is still one of the first to show up)

Spray-n-Pray which you buy from Cricket, near Vault 81, in Fallout 4. It's a .45 Caliber Tommy gun style machine gun, with a scope and explosive bonus damage. I got it at level 8 and used it for 50+ more levels. The Splatter Cannon is the upgraded sniper version, but it just doesn't have the same punchy feel. This was the first time in a game that I got something hubby hadn't seen before. I got my first, "Whence, woman, whence?!". A moment of true gamer pride lol
