As a tall rider I just don't find sport tourers comfortable. They tend to be compact bikes that also try to fold you up into a compact shape. It's all about aerodynamics with them. I like my knees at 90° or less, and I like to sit bolt upright, no leaning forward to reach the grips, which gives me pain in the lower back and also tends to make me tilt my head back giving me pain in the neck. Previously had sport tourers and gave up on that style.

For me anyway, Honda screwed up the new Goldwing with the greatly diminished luggage capacity. It might work OK for one up, but that's never been the typical Goldwing rider.

44 grand for the CVO's. The top of the line non CVO touring models are about 40% less. The issue I have with BMW's is the sport touring ergos of all their touring bikes. I don't like my feet tucked up behind my knees, and I don't like leaning forward to reach grips.

Seriously, when was the last time this bike received an update other than new colors. Still no cruise control which I find ridiculous on a touring bike. Although I will admit once I got away from these kind of bikes where your weight is on your wrists, I rarely use my cruise control.
