I'm not sure how long the prestige will last, but that triple triad mount is actually really impressive due to the sheer amount of content you need to accomplish to get it. It includes getting to the final zone in eureka, bozja, all the hildibrand quests, several extreme trials (including memoria misera and all 3 weapons), and winning an open tournament

The phoenix mount gets more "wow" responses from people than any other mount. It might not be impossibly hard to get anymore, but at the same time it's not super common. It helps that it is likely the most visually stunning mount in the game. Also, it's a lot bigger than most other mounts.

Another title that's insane to get outside of combat is the High Roller title from the Gold saucer as it is a MASSIVE time investment to get all the achievement to unlock it. A ton of playing triple triad, chocobo race, GATEs, 1mil mgp from both the giant and mini cactpot. Also mention to World-Class Troller which requires to spend a lot of time doing Ocean Fishing.

@@markboron5581 You can unlock it in Uldah at lvl 15 iirc. The Gold saucer I mean and unlock all the mini-games including TT. It's a quest near the aetheryte called "It could happen to you". Recently they also added a mount and a title once you collected every card except for the main line FF protag cards cuz some of those are tournament exclusives.

Yeah, High Roller is a meta achievement combining basically most of the grindiest achievements for Chocobo Racing and Triple Triad and Mini Cactpot diligence... while ALSO needing to get lucky and 1st place a Jumbo Cactpot, a very rare feat of luck unto itself. All of these other achievements have their own Titles with low player %s for half of them. The Triple Triad card mount is a more visible flex, and you need to farm a LOT of the card game and Shadowbringers EX trials to obtain it currently.

@@jaeusa160 All trial and raid cards drop in Normal as well as Ex or savage, save one exception: Varis. You can only get his card from his Ex trial(at least thats what the site I used to track my progress was saying and even then it could be just an omission of normal but i didnt take any chance and Farmed that specific EX. But all the others I farmed Normal...maybe the drop rate is better in EX but I didnt find any information confirming that, but Im assuming that might be the case). And IMO..its not that much of a flex. It took me about a week and I had only 1/3 of the cards when I started working on it. I didn't find it particularly hard or time consuming for that matter. That said if you dont really like playing TT or just plain suck at it, yeah it's not gonna be a fun time to get it. And I personally recommend to use a tracking site for your progress cuz the ingame text is bad at telling you where to get them. (Kinda like blue spells) Of course I could farm Happy bunny fates in Eureka and hate my life, but There's an NPC in Kugane that drops all the Eureka Cards...So yeah. Use a tracker, dont listen to ingame hints if you're aiming for it. xD

You need to quickly identify to optimal route, get from one node to the next extremely quickly and an overall dedication of time during the event. 3 hours should net you 20k plus points less and you will struggle to hit top 12.

I got my Astrope before Shadowbringers came out, but i then switched to completing the fishing log; i got the final title, Big Fish, just yesterday. I doubt many people will know what this title means in terms of effort and struggle (and luck!), but still, very happy to flex my fishing title atop my Astrope :D

I have the Pteranodon Mount and the Triple Triad card mount, and in my opinion, if you start fresh with fishing, getting the Big Fish title is one of the most tedious and soul crushing tasks in the game. Heck, I even think it's harder to get than the Necromancer title in terms of time spent, and it's DEFINITELY harder to get than the Pteranodon. Sad that Zepla didn't mention fishing at all in this video.

@@alessandroseverino8222 As a mentor, extremes are frustrating. Depending on the fight, it can take more than one (60m) lockout to actually learn the fight. Most sprouts dont realize the jump in difficulty between hard and extreme. Sometimes you'll get a party that is willing to listen to the advice and follow through with it. But most times than not, its the opposite. Because Mentors get a bad rep, you are harassed right from the start. Players who dont want to listen to your advice, simply because you bear a crown. We do mentor, we do teach, but extremes bring out a different side of people, and its optional if you wish to listen.

On Aether, there's a lot of prep and organization. And for DRS non-statics we still go through all of the explanations for new people. So it's more realistic to say 3 to 4 hours not 1.

Yeah I felt these were the most missed mounts in this video, you cant unsync or cheese these achievements over time. Eureka and Bozja are locked to level and skills we have now forever. Plus death is punishing, and raises are limited and low chances.

Infact I argue its slightly more difficult since those that call out the mechanics for the raid sometimes can't keep up due to phase skips from the added damage. Yeah but Hell's Kier is not really old. "Old" mostly relates to lvl50-60 content, because you can comfortably solo it in most cases on a properly geared lvl80 character. Lvl70 content is still considered "not old" because the difference in levels doesn't provide the same overwhelming DPS/EHP advantage compared to lvl50-60 vs. lvl80.

Before anything yes I understand this falls under niche and not many people recognize it, its not flashy and all that. But the Triple Triad mount for me is one of the ultimate flexe's, because it means you got ALL cards (except the FF protagonist cards), meaning you won a tournament, you bought all of them in the gold saucer, you farmed extremes, you did Eureka, you did Bozja, you farmed all alliance raids, you played against almost if not all NPCs, you did the Hildibrand quests, aka. it's pretty much the "I did everything there is to do in the game, outside ultimates and savage". To give an idea the cards that drop from Extremes and such have around 2% drop rate, so you will literally see the card less times than the mounts, there's NPC's that also drop multiple

I think a completed sightseeing log is pretty impressive too, specifically the ARR one, as well as the treasure map titles you can get for seeing the end of a rare treasure map enough times! I'd say that these days, the treasure map titles are rarer than even Necromancer, since you need a party to consistently do maps with.

The ARR sightseeing log isn't too bad, but there's a few that are a real pain in the ass. Probably a bit easier now with flying mounts in ARR areas but doesn't help with all of them especially needing strict time and weather requirements and in towns. Like #37 in Gridania with a jumping puzzle that's a pain (requires sprint), fair/clear weather, and between 8:00 and 12:00. Ugh.

I think the most impressive to me is definitely The Necromancer title. Legend titles are hard to get for different reasons but I'd say soloing PotD is a tougher endeavor. I'm a triple legend with multiple clears of all ultimates but getting the solo clears for both deep dungeons remains as a huge to-do pending on my list. I've been considering getting it done for a while, but it's intimidating to me in a way Ultimates aren't. I've dipped my toes a bit so I think I can definitely get it done if I go hard on it without getting discouraged at failed tries.

Also check out Angelusdemonus i think is his name on youtube and twitch, he literally no lifes potd like its the only content in the game or something he has a LOT of potd/HoH solo clears on multiple classes and he knows deep dungeon like the back of his hand. Maygi is good too but i follow angelus just because his videos seem more easy to follow to me than a text guide. I made one attempt at potd solo a couple months ago i got to 156 and i wiped from a super bad floor. i had like 6 patrols closing in on me, a treasure room full of a crap ton of mobs blocking my path to the gate and my time was running low because it takes forever to get through the higher floors. I ended up panicking and hitting a trap then dying to aggroed mobs. Potd is no joke imo and people who think ultimates are harder or rarer are so wrong i feel. having a legend title is nice and all but i see them pretty often..........ive seen maybe one necro on my data center. potd is solo is a serious accomplishment imo and you need more than just practice and skill to clear it....you also need that perfect run where rng doesnt screw you over.

But otherwise, I feel like it's an even bigger time investment than Ultimate progging. And a failure at higher floor represent such a massive grind to restart that most people will get discouraged at some point, even if it's mechanically easier than an Ultimate. It's a whole different type of "difficulty" in the end. And also the risk of being punished by bad RNG is another thing not making me want to attempt it.

I do have a solo floor 121 save at the moment, sitting there untouched for a while, and I remember dying to the floor 80 boss of HoH solo a long, long time ago because I wasn't paying attention, and I haven't tried again (but I should try to clear solo HoH first before I do PotD). Just getting back to the point I was requires a willpower I sometimes just don't have, compared to wiping on Ultimate and just trying again, even though a 0.1% enrage wipe sucks in its own way. But I think it's easier for me to suck it up and keep going because there's a team involved, and a responsibility to press on for them as well as myself, whereas solo deep dungeon is just me and I'm not inconveniencing anyone by just saying, eh, I'll try again some other day.

Amazing work with this video, Zepla! I love how you included other people's insights and displayed many of the things to flex that werent just static images of the things, as well as be clear on the criteria of which you judged these things. I have every zeta since heavensward and i can tell you that it's not too bad now. You can grind out a relic from start to finish in 2-3 days on average if you go at it pretty hard. books is usually the timesink step.

Relic weapons are cool but unfortunately not a big flex since the grind for them get nerfed a lot. Only way it would be a flex is if you could tell if someone got them before the nerfs but unfortunately there is no way to tell.

That would actually be incorrect as achievements usually come with most relics or for atleast completing your first one and those achievements show dates of completion on the lodestone assuming the person has it set to public. Also i would say it could very well be a flex depending on how many finished relics you have. ive only ever seen a couple people on my server who also have as many finish relics as i do and that in itself shows rarity, but also consider even after nerf to have every relic finished still takes a LOT of work. There are many things you can flex in ffxiv and show that you have played a lot of the game. So i would say i very much disagree with your opinion, because of how many people DONT have it done due to the amount of time and work that goes into it even after nerfs. Now IF were talking about 2-3 relics sure thats not a big deal. But the reality is that when people find out i have every zeta, lux, and about half eureka's they basically say im insane for doing all that and that in itself is what makes me feel like a god which imo is definitely a flex. However i have other accomplishments im more proud of. I'm just stating that there are circumstances where relics can be a flex.

Legacy player here! Glad this made the list. A lot of people don't know about it. I've got the Goobbue as well which isn't technically connected to the Legacy status. Also the best thing about Legacy status IMO is the reduced sub fee. $10 USD for month-to-month and $8 USD a month for 6 month sub.

Oh! I have a few of those pvp mounts! Though, I still don't have any of the Feast top 100 rewards, as I ended up getting preoccupied in an editing spree and result in getting left behind in the queues ;~;. I want to try to get at least this season's mount before the pvp rework though! I also have attempted Necromancer a few times, but I keep making stupid mistakes in the floor 140-170 range. I also recently just reset all of my weapon and armor level progress for the monk fist glamour-that-I'll-probably-never-use, so I've got a lot of regrinding to do before trying again... ...why do I do this to myself.

Resplendent tools for crafters. I only have 1 so far, but they are basically the Ultimate tools for crafters solely based on their difficulty. They are a good mix of some minor RNG luck, ability to understand crafting rotations, when to conserve CP or when to go all out, and how to tie status effects with actions to successfully complete the crafts. Even if these are used mostly for glam purposes, so are many of the Ultimate weapons for battle jobs too. :)

I have the Black Legacy chocobo and was very happy to see it on the list. It took me 8 years to forgive SE for bringing down the servers, but forgive them I did. As a legacy player I hear a lot of people say they wish they had played in those days. IMO the game wasn’t as good as it is now but it wasn’t a complete mess either. The revamped version is better though.

My husband did it and while he did happen to luck into a group with friends, he says it took them about 10 total nights over a few months. More than half of that time was spent on Brute Justice. They were all players with significant experience in Savage content, however. But I hope that gives you an idea of the time commitment.

Every single overworld Big Fish, not every single fish and also excludes anything from Ocean Fishing. This one really should be up there because you can't just hard grind your way through all of them, it's 100% a title that you can only obtain through sheer luck and dedication. I've heard of people being screwed on Ruby Dragon for over a year despite attending most of its very rare catch windows. The shiny rod you get from catching 1140 unique fish honestly is less impressive than the title because you don't actually need to clean out your fishing log to get it, which means you can miss some of the hardest Big Fish and still get it.

@Zelph HQ . I wear a "Demagouge Mask" in game to flex what few may know of as the "Mask of the Mortal Hex" in 1.0 . After the Calamity, they converted "Masks of the Mortal Hex" into "Demagouge Masks" which can later be found in "Copperbell Mines". But in 1.0 you had to beat an entire beastribe camp, kill the Notorious Monster Ixali, Get a gold key and open a chest to recieve the mask which has a 1 in 10hr average drop rate of constant farming. My most rare item.

The Zeta/Zodiac weapons will always be this for me. They're super rare to spot in game, and understandably so because of the grind and that it costs millions of Gil. I consider them to have a far more Wow! factor than any of the Ultimate weapons because of the pain but...Ultimate weapons are far more common to spot in the game now too.

As an owner of multiple zeta/zodiac, I think the solo grind is less painful than finding a competent group for ultimates. I'm still using them for my current glam, and I don't think they were that expensive??

The most impressive things I own in XIV are: - The mount/title for having all triple triad cards up to 5.55. You don't need the extra dissidia cards for that achievement but I have all of those too, including the four tournament cards. - Saint of the Firmament title. Limited availability thing for the Ishgard restoration. You had to get Top 12 on any of the 11 crafters/gatherers during the ranking periods, of which there were 3 (I think). Which means there are, at most, 396 players per server with the title. Less if the same players made Top 12 multiple times or on multiple classes. Overall not THAT rare since a server is typically around 10-20k players. - High Roller title. Requires doing a ton of Gold Saucer stuff, including winning 500 Chocobo Races, 1000 Triple Triad roulette matches, 100 Triple Triad tournament matches, 1mil MGP from mini cactpot, and 1mil MGP from jumbo cactpot, plus some other stuff with GATEs. Most of that is actually pretty easy, but the jumbo cactpot is the worst as it's pure RNG and you only get 3 tickets per week. It took me over 5 years to build up 1mil MGP in jumbo cactpot winnings since I never won first prize. - Noble Barding. A chocobo barding that you can only get by winning official community contests e.g. screenshot contests, art contests. I was chosen as a winner in a screenshot competition in early Shadowbringers. IMO the number 1 most insane cosmetic thing in this game is the Ultimate Thrillseeker title. Requires 5000 S Rank kills, which makes the 2000 required for the tiger mount look like a joke. I have only ever seen 1 person with this title in all my years playing the game.

I was obsessed with getting the big fish title Master Caster (nice FFXI reference.) It took a long time and it was super frustrating at some points, too many double/triple mooch or whatever in a tiny window that only happens once a RL week. As more big fish have been added I suppose this specific title is much easier nowadays, but there are of course further ones too. I also used to admire players with the Honest Gillionare title, but maybe that too is easier now.

For a little more Context on the Gathering in the Diadem. When I got Saint of the Firmament (Flu Pastuer on Excal) in Phase 3 for Mining. I spent somewhere between 8 to 12 hours a day in that damn circle hitting nodes as efficiently as possible. I had to literally give mats away to keep from over capping on everything. I had the best food and meld available at the time this started and ran out of my stock of hi cordials and occasionally went Ocean Fishing to quickly restock them to minimal success. I made about 10 mil gil that week and got 600000 points. I would have to do that AGAIN for Botanist and the Fishers seemed to be having A TIME when I check in on them. My biggest Flex at the moment though is probably the card mount. Memoria will probably keep that mount rare for a bit, as will all the random side quests and side content you need to complete including getting to Hydatos in Eureka and doing Allied Best Tribe quests. Its a weird content completionist mount.

I think of your list the one I super agree on is the PoTD/HoH titles- those are no joke..! I remember for a long time too there was a bug where ppl were being randomly disconnected and you'd lose your whole run to a server side error O__O; I constantly get asked where my title "The Wanderer's Shadow" came from- to me exploring 1.0 was far superior to ARR->ShB, filled with actual danger! Some map points took me and ten of my friends to get to safely- hilariously using a hallowed ground + zombie'ing method all the way there, LOL collecting these points with my friends is such a great memory that I will gladly flex this title forever and ever (imagine, goats that could one shot you with a ranged attack, trees you had to Walk by, and my fav- the lv90+ mobs that would just pop as you would touch a zone line lmao I am convinced the dood from your video that said Coerthas was empty in 1.0 must have never loaded in ahaha!!) Lastly, I think that this 'prestige stuff' listed varies wildly from data center to data center and people should just flex what is important to them! Here on Aether data center, things like Hunt mounts/PVP mounts/Gil mounts/Legacy weapons are abundant

The Pteronodon mount has been my big game goal since I started playing, I'm happy to hear that it isn't nearly as painful as some of the other really cool mounts. I'm a huge mount nerd and it makes me sad that I just can't go for things that just don't exist anymore and things like the mentor mount will take me forever now that I have a son. No way I can just grind that out all day anymore. But it also feels good in a way that I just can't do stuff like that anymore, I loved focusing on a game but it's nice to live in RL with my adorable baby too. Someday he'll join us and I'll share the insanity of MMOs with him. Don't have to worry about addictive substances when you need to worry about game time.

You didn't mention the Saint of the Firmament title in your list! It's unobtainable now and you had to be top 12 in the ranked seasons of rebuilding the Firmament. It was very competitive for a lot of jobs, specially botanist and miner. Top 100 was very easy, but top for top 12 you had to no life it for 10 days to be able to stay there.

I Have about 4 "things" that are official "FLEX" items 1. A house decorated in Shiro-gane. (Shiro is the hardest of the 4 districts to even get a house). 2. A 25 Million Gill Sink Mount from a few months crafting profits on market 3. A level 535 Relic weapon from Bozjan raid series and events. (max upgrade level at this time). 4. The title of Firmament Saint from the Ishgardian Restoration event. (scored 5th in Leather worker, and 20th in goldsmith in same contest). I wouldn't say that The sin eater "forsaken " lion mount from 4000 Nut Sacks is a real flex, because anyone hunting enough S-ranks in the 1st realm can get it. But the big white winged lion is a great mount.

I have it as well, been diligent with Cactpot tickets since Gold Saucer opened pretty much but even then that's only like 10% chance at most, since Jumbo Cactpot also used to be 1 Ticket per week. The only thing holding me back off High Roller since Stormblood is finishing my 500 Chocobo Racing wins, and far more so the 1000 Triple Triad Roulette wins. It's really hard to find motivation to grind THAT much Triple Triad.

Assuming that you get 3 tickets every week, and you never miss turning them in, on average you'll win the Jumbo Cactpot once every 63.88 years. In other words, don't expect to ever get it. Each week it's a 3/10,000 or 0.03% chance.

The Paladin one is VERY obvious. it is on the back of the shield.

"The Necromancer" isn't just cooler than "Lone Hero", it's also more impressive in my opinion. I have multiple HoH clears, and the #10 Machinist score on my datacenter, but no PotD clears. I've only cracked floor 100 a couple times, it's just such a huge time investment and one mistake erases everything.

@@Kaiyalai_Indigo At that length you could definitely say it isn't a minigame, I agree. I only called it a minigame because it is a game within the main game. Which is the crux of the problem in my view. Since nearly everything in the Gold Saucer is made to be something you can hop into for fun and hop out of. Even open tournaments are over in a fraction of the time. I think if enough people are enjoying the game it's fine, but I definitely wouldn't play it myself and I understand why many people simply don't bother with it. While easy to get the hang of if the time and effort to learn are put in, it starts out seemingly very complex and the games are very long often with times where the player is doing nothing at all. I think it's jarring to a lot of people who go into it expecting something simple and quick. That's how I was at least. At the end of the day it's cool to have the option though, but I really do wish they would add more card or board games which are more familiar with Western players in the future.

So I churned out enough of the grind to get myself the pteranodon mount, and I wanna give an idea of what that experience was like pushing through all that. Not every single hour was dedicated to crafting and gathering mats to turn in, and I can't imagine the extra amount of time it took for me to get ready for it, but my time breakdown (as best as I can remember it) was as follows: Facet/Aesthetes Gear Crafting and Overmelding: I couldn't begin to tell you how long this took to make sure I got right. Lucky me that I had gotten Facet gear before the release of this all the Ishgard Restoration stuff, but when 5.3 dropped, my first priority was making sure I had HQ Aesthete's gear day one for at least one crafter (and eventually the gatherers) that I was going to rank in for the second round of Saint of the Firmament titles. And then that also came with overmelding and experimenting and calculating something that worked for me. Now it's a lot easier to get the better gear, so it's not nearly as much of a timesink or gil drain. Approximately 25-30 hours of expert crafting per class to get to 500k: I broke this up into hour-long chunks just to give myself any sort of semblance of sanity. I averaged closed to 18-20k points an hour, usually more points the further along I was in the given phase. Doing it this way, I finished all eight crafters before the 5.4 update. Approximately 75 hours of gathering per class to get to 500k: Again, I averaged around 20k points per diadem run specifically on botanist and miner, but fisher went significantly faster due to luck, I guess? Either way, still 200+ hours of gathering all these mats was a lot of time flying around in circles. Food/Syrup crafting: And on top of all that, making sure I had a surplus of top of the line food and medicine was necessary to maximize all my progress. Of course, as everything went along, I did less of this and bought more and more off the marketboard, but it's still something else to keep in mind. I really only started going ham on this around the time of the first leaderboard, leaning into it after I placed well enough for a Saint of the Firmament title on my server, around 5.21. I finished all my crafters before 5.4 and finished my gatherers during the leaderboard rankings of 5.41. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say that it's pretty accurate to say I spent a total of 550-600 hours on this mount. Still, I think the benefits outweigh the negatives -- I forced myself to get fully pentamelded crafting and gathering gear across all my classes, I made a fortune selling off all the Kupo of Fortune prizes and scrip rewards I already had, I gained not only the Saint of the Firmament title but also Divine Provider and The Hand of Creation (which I still wear!), and I have the pteranodon mount to show for it. I think the number of other people I've seen on my data center with this mount I could count on one hand, but it turns heads when it comes out!

I have some of the weapons from each ultimate, and some pvp stuff (the yellow+black node, the maelstrom horse, and the full field commander set). i'd say saint of the firmament and the high roller are really good flexes as well, and fisher titles

Honestly the ultimate weapons feel less impressive because clear/sell parties exists (where someone else is paid to do it for you). Granted there are some genuine players out there who completed this content, and no player is perfect; but actions/skill speak much louder. If X player (with an ult weapon/title) is constantly dying in casual content or failing every mechanic known to man (even the simple ones) then it really makes you wonder if they spent some actual money you know. I'm more impressed with chill people who just want to have some fun and enjoy the game rather than flaunting their ego, but eh that's just me.
