I can only wonder how much profit they’re making on some of these $5k bikes. It’s not even like they’re putting the most high end e-parts on one of the most top of the line cannondale or trek bikes either. Pfff. Ok maybe -maybe- it’s like the early desktop PC that cost $5k initially, and that was with a 286 processor, 640k ram, and a 20MB hard disk! But I dint think so. I think all the pieces are there to build a decent e-bike for price most people could afford.

lol first one i have around 10 -12 years ago, and it's just now new thing? lol how some people are behind... no wonder why apple so popular :D and cost $3300? i got mine for $350 brand new! the battery was on back and bitt bigger, around 10 cm longer... its shows when people are stupid they get overcharged 10 or maybe even more times its original cost :D

Most electric bikes are designed to be replacement for a car to those people who don't need to travel that far. Car will always costs more in couple of years than a electric bike that costs 2-3k. Electricity is much cheaper than fuel not to mention repairs and taxes.
