Just got my B2 Dusk, don't regret purchasing them atttt all. Agree on how you explain how it sounds like. I only listen to 4 song playlist since I dunno I'm weird like that, but never have I heard how a snare and cymbals sound...can't explain it, but that's how it sounds like how I would hear it when practicing in a studio. Amazing

Buy the u12t if you have the monies or be stuck in the never ending IEM rabbit hole. I'm still stuck in the rabbit hole buying sets I don't need until I can shell out big monies for a TOTL set.
@chocoholix21803 жыл бұрын
HAHA thats what you think! once you get your TOTL set you'll be itching for a TOTL level DAP or chain, next would be cables to go with it and once you get a taste for that snake oil you'll find yourself checking out sixth element products to squeeze out that last 1% of sound you think you can still get out of your product

Excellent video timmy!!! Your rank list is in very good agrement with my personal rank list of iems in my channel hehe. But I dont have 64 u12t, just 64 tia trio, but for me is one of the best of my collection with z1r and campfire andromeda. About moondrop s8, beyer, kz, blon, etc etc, also i have them in almost same levels on the rank 😍😍. And I also like tin t2 plus and aria. Maybe the next monday the oracle will arrive to me. And it will be a very good experience sure!! Regards and thank you for your video my friend!!

Amazing video! I totally agree with you, once you get to the top, it’s about taste. The U12t are the second best IEMs I’ve put in my ears (to my taste of course), the first ones being the U18s, which feel to me like a fuller and a bit darker version of the U12t. This darker/warmer nature actually makes them in my opinion even more versatile than the U12t, this is again, to my ears as I’m very treble sensitive. I wouldn’t advise to blindly spend on a TOTL, I do however understand in some places there’s no way to get a demo. I spent a month with both the U12t and U18s before making my decision, it wasn’t easy, in fact, I was using a Mojo, and I had to step it up to the Hugo2 to really be able to decide which one was best for me because they both can resolve beyond what a Mojo can do. Something else to think about, and this was my personal experience, though I know many people like the versatility of being able to sell them when they feel like, but at this level, the absolute best way to enjoy them is in custom form. That’s just my opinion of course.
@erikleonardi66423 жыл бұрын
Darker doesn't mean more versatile. It's the balanced signature like the u12t presents that's better for most songs IMO because you can just literally throw any genres of music and it sounds amazing. When something is overly warm, it tends to lose details
@Vic_n783 жыл бұрын
@@erikleonardi6642 What balanced signature? They are both bass boosted, the 12t goes more into the sub bass region, then the bass region decays faster than that of the 18s. Also, the 12t is a little too bright at times making it a bit harsh with some songs. The 18s doesn’t have this issue, and the warmer nature makes instruments sound fuller, textures are even more emphasized. Voices also benefit from this. Even with the warmer nature, they are more resolving than the 12t. At least in my case, once I listened to the 18s for a few days, I could not go back to the 12t without feeling they were lacking in comparison. The extra warmth in the 18s does not compromise the clarity of its sound presentation. The only thing I miss about the 12t is the deep sub bass they have, it is extremely satisfying, and definitely not present in the 18s unless you trick them. And this only works with the universals, it does not work with the customs sadly. If you get the M26 modules and plug them backwards into the U18s, you’ll get a sub bass very close to that of the 12t, but still with the warmer nature, and because of that I think the sub bass in the 12t, still edges out the 18s one, because the warmer nature overwhelms the subtleness of the sub bass. In the end, it’s all about preference, and while the sub bass present in the 12t is gorgeous, to me, the 18s outperformed the 12t in everything else. If you prefer the 12t that’s great! You have your taste and I have mine, let’s enjoy what we enjoy and be happy! Regards…
@Vic_n782 жыл бұрын
@@Usernotknown21 Hey, I'm sorry that is the case for you. I have both A18s and A12t, the 12t are my daily drivers while the 18s are for when I want a very technical session (I even added some sneak oil with a set of Effect Audio cables, to fool myself into thinking I'm squeezing all I can out of them... Don't judge 😆). I agree with you on the fact they are a bit dark, but I like them that way, it makes them feel a bit intimate. To me the 18s are the best CIEMS I've ever put on my ears, but that is a personal preference. They don't sound vailed to me, all I hear is an extremely detailed and intimate sound without scarifying sound stage. What do you pair them with? I pair them with a Hugo2, and they sound like a match made in heaven because of the synergy, the Hugo2's brightness complements thee 18s darkness and it balances things out. for my every day I use a ES100, and in comparison, when paired with the ES100, they sound fuzzy, but still good enough for my every day use at work. You said you have U18s? in that case, why can't you sell them? I would understand if they were CIEMS, but universals? I'm pretty sure you can sell them, unless... They are a guilty pleasure of yours... 😏 At the end of the day at these prices, we need to get products that we really enjoy, otherwise it is a true waste of hard earned money.
@Vic_n782 жыл бұрын
@@Usernotknown21 I have tried all kinds of IEMS, I think it's about preferences and the way we hear. Electrostatic IEMs sound extremely harsh to my ears and they lack body or 'thickness". I'm very sensitive to high frequencies, that might explain why I'm so happy with darker IEMs, but again, it's all about what we like. I have both 12t and 18s because together they cover all I want for listening to music. They share a lot in the way they sound, but one is more technical and full bodied, and thee other one is brighter and deeper in the sub bass region. There's also something in the tuning of the 12t's bass region that gives the impression of having a faster response.

Did you try the etymotic ER2SE balanced? Its actually playing at least as many details, exspecially micro details as my UM Mest MKII. IEMs that are as or more detailed as the ones i mentioned are playing more details then humans (i am taking myself as a reference here) are normally able to hear. Before i listen to music i often meditate to reach a higher state of mind. After that i am able to hear A LOT more details and the soundstage gets extremely wide and deep. I recommend you to try this too. For me it absolutely changed the way i listen to music. By the way, thank you for your videos and keep up the great work! :)

Aria has a cheaper Knowles driver. Knowles drivers list has 35 drivers from 8 dollars to 100 dollars per unit,that's when we see stage and image. Is like a copper bd or liquid crystal dd from sony. Then iems has 2 choices. Pipe with dumpers that I am not kin because of the fz that divides, and chamber like Sony or audio 64 does. Like a speaker in a box.The xr2 too thin and lack of bass. You see on the graf but the emplacement of thick tone between mid bass and low bass is lacking big way. When I record music. The snare needs to be 1 db louder than the bass guitar. Then the bass guitar goes under and then the guitar because in this days we record 1 stroke as the bass guitar giving the bass for the guitar instead of the guitar like was in the 80s. In this days guitars are very flat brcause in rock and metal we want the guitar fz not to be lost in the mix with the bass guitar. The xr2 goes below any reference point. Mine and most recording producers. Beryllium drivers even with the grafs point showing mid bass. The hardener driver they not good for rumble mid bass. An extra dynamic drivers for the mid bass is a good choice . For mids. Best planar. But hard to drive like the xr2. Great mids and highs on xr2 . For the highs between 1k to 6k balance and dd tweeter. After that the est that they great for presence and air and easy to drive. Problem I find in iem is when we lower the mid bass we lower the thickness of vocals. Personally I like audio 64 mid bass tuning and then drops at 1k. Like real recording. Perfect for high volume. For low volume we need everything more bright for sure.the mest has bone conductor a speaker that does not go inside your heard but the vibration reaches the ear canal and changes into sound. Nit great,but mix with drivers is like having a fan with water in your face and watching a rainy movie.thanks for this great video.

Uhm... do you really mean In-Ear Monitor, or Earphone? Most of the Earphones if not all of them can neither be used to Monitor on Stage nor for Monitoring in the Studio. They are neither designed, build nor meant for Monitoring, so they are not Monitors. They are just Earphone. The Sennheiser Pro Series is an In-Ear Monitor, Sonys IER-M7 and IER-M9 are In-Ear Monitor but Aria? KXXS? What do you want to monitor with them? They are totally unusable for monitoring. They are not IEMs.
