I've always found it amazing how many people forgot or never realized Rocky loses to Creed in the first movie. That's how great that movie is, you feel like you won just by watching it, and it makes you feel like he won too.

Rocky's victory was simply doing what no one else had ever done against Apollo Creed: he went the full 12 rounds. Rocky was a nobody from Philly who stepped into the ring with a guy he had no chance of beating, but was able to go the distance. The whole purpose was to showcase how much heart Rocky had, not how strong of a left hook he had.

It could also be that there is a scene in the Hunger Games book that details the time a couple of years ago when a girl fell off the pedestal and blew u. Even in the movie, Haymitcj verbally goes over that leaving the pedestal early.will get you "blown sky high" immediately before the scene.

There is such a thing, it's just not what the conspiracy nutters think it is. It's just our minds filling in the gaps when we subconsciously absorb information, it's not some slip in space and time or anything stupid like that. We take in far more information than we can consciously process, so we often misremember things.

Tom Cruise is also famous for his "Top Gun" sunglasses. My biggest Mandela was the dinner scene in "Alien", thinking Parker had said "C'mon, the cornbread isn't *that* bad" which also got mentioned in "Aliens" (Guess she didn't like the cornbread either)... but Yaphet Kotto had said "...FOOD isn't..." with no mention of cornbread. Just learned of that *this* year.

In Independence Day, when Will Smith's characted punches the alien, I remember him saying "Welcome to Earth, motherf*cker". I saw it in the cinema, and have a really clear memory of this. Except it appears it didn't happen. Certainly it's not in any home movie version of the movie.

I don't remember any of these wrong, if I remember it at all, beyond never noticing C3PO's leg until years later (probably 1997 when the enhanced editions came out and I saw the movies in theaters for the first time), which I blame on watching the movies mostly on VHS recordings of TV broadcasts, but it was such a small detail that I forgot about it again until it was kind of parodied in the sequel trilogy (by giving him a red arm--I almost wish they'd done a Young Frankenstein and had C3PO confronted about the arm and for him to be like, "what red arm?").

What's even stranger than the scenes people remember wrong are the moments they don't remember at all, even when the movie's considered a classic. I've had friends disbelieve me when I mention there's a scene in Willy Wonka where we see a chicken get its head cut off. Or that there's a moment in The Godfather where two guys with 70s clothes and hairstyles casually walk through the door of a 1950s casino. My guess is that moments like these are so completely out of step with the movie that we simply blank them out.

Never noticed C3Po's leg... it isn't a case of misremembering. It is more like that Pirates of the Caribean scene where one dude is wearing a cowboy hat, I'd only notice it if someone points it out. Some of these are just silly, like the Lion King one. I could imagine them today going back and adding in a second lion cub to reference the dumb show The Lion Guard. :P But originally? I don't get why anyone would think that.

Yup, count me as one of the people who didn’t know about C3PO’s silver shin 😅 But wasn’t there something else about C3PO, like he wasn’t as shiny in the beginning or on the TV shows, or something like that?! I don’t remember much of the beginning of Star Wars, I only remember being slightly frightened by C3PO & not Chewbacca when I first saw them LoL I must be the only person who has _never_ seen The Lion King, in any form. I remember my best friend had already seen in 3 times & she dragged me there for her 4th viewing, but it was sold-out for some reason, so yeah, never saw it. Even as a child, I was never big on animated films or anything Disney, I think the only one I have seen in it’s entirety is Cinderella…or was it 101 Dalmatians?! I think I was given the Cinderella book…it makes more sense that I would see 101 Dalmatians, not one of those princess-y 💩 (I was 9-10-11 years old when The Silence of the Lambs came out, while I never saw it in theatres, I did see it a few years later on TV & it was my fave film by the time I was 13 years old, it is still my fave film today!)

Even tho it came out years later, I think more ppl are mixing a scene in one of the The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror segments with the Hunger Games. In the The Simpsons episode, poor Ralph steps off his podium a second or two too soon and dies. I could be wrong but I personally had zero idea that Starving Games movie existed until it was mentioned in this very video (of course I have never seen a single original Hunger Games movie either so that’s hardly a surprise 😅🤷‍♀️ they’re not my thing lol)

For me one scene I remember that doesn't actually happen at all is in Forest Gump. When he meets Bubba and he tells him they call me Forest, I don't know why. I SWEAR that mine was in the movie but its not. Loin King, I didn't know that was a thing, people think there were 2 cubs, that's new. All of them I knew, huge Star Wars fan so the sliver leg, easy.
