Interesting video..Have you guys ever looked a suction cups? I am talking about the single or double units that have levers to apply the suction. They can be used to fix light materials or small lights, mics to any smooth surface, with windows being the obvious ones..

To be honest I haven’t had a gaffer or grip use suctions for lights but I do own a bunch for automotive rigging and what not. I’m assuming these suctions have a fixed baby pin on them for a light?

@@ImJasonAnthony Hi Jason, I only ever used a couple of DIY modified ones that would hold a flash or small LED panel. However, I know Small rig do a commercial version of those, and then larger units with baby pins are available ie the Avenger F1000 Pump Cup..That is rated up to a 2kg load and has a babypin...Smaller suction cups with hooks or bulldog clips might be handy for say holding diffuser material over windows freeing up other more substantial clamps and stands to be used for lights ect..

I rock 2-3 small friction arms in my box in addition to the grip heads and clamps you have here too, bro. Literally just used one yesterday for a small hair light I had to clip to the back of a chair b/c the scene wouldn't allow me to fly a stand in. I've also mounted camera and monitors to them in a pinch too. ps - we should create our own freelancer Gaf Box... Let me know when Nomadic calls you back and we can move into the design phase. 😂

I work with them closely all the time, of course not. Every department role on set that makes production a possibility doesn't get overlooked on my sets for recognition!
