Agreed on the flexshaft! Bought 2, but never needed the 2nd one and have had it since 2014. Only thing I could complain about is that it isn't a 1/4in. chuck.

As wonderful as your personality is, (...can't help but to like you immediately!) you obviously know what you're talking about and really helped me with some great tips! I started making and selling wire wrapped gemstones 18 months ago. Being OCD, I bought a rotary kit at HF mostly to polish my stones to my high standards and then began to grind away imperfections in the stone or in the cut... needless to say, now I want to do it all, from cutting from rough to soldering and casting. I just made these awesome silver turtles for a customer and I am working on making a start to finish video of how to do it using my home made jewelry casting setup. However I have not learned how to do the bezels or any of the metalsmithing to be honest with you. you don't need a rolling mill .....You can do the same thing with a hammer and an anvil or vice with a place to pound metal on it. I will make a video tomorrow on how to do it with minimal tools. thanks for your comment ....watch for the video it may take a day or two as i am quite busy
