Addition to 3: If you *have* bus lines going along the same road, make them stop on different segments of that road. At least in C:S 1 this helps massively.

One thing that worked for me quite well is that i do a line for the day with more busses assigned to it and one for the night with less busses assigned to it, so the almost empty busses dont clog the streets.

I really love these tips, as they help remembering the smaller details. Not once in any of my games have I thought to put the bus stops at busy locations. OF CAUSE would you need a stop at a hospital, it's so obvious, and still it never occured to me to do xD

I have pop of 677K and my bus lines alone have 150K to 180K riders, while the whole system combined has 380K to 440K riders! I already follow many of your tips, going to def add in some dedicated bus roads for an express bus route. Great ideas, thank you!

I have like 30k but I have too many buses. My highways are fully blocked help

I have a strange (possibly a bug?) thing happening where I plan a sensible bus route that is both the shortest and the fasted route, but some of my busses decide to take themselves off the planned route and head straight into the middle of busy traffic where they get massively delayed. Odd as their off plan routes are both longer and slower than the routes dictated by their coloured lines, so it’s not like they’re trying to do the smart thing. I do have a few mods but nothing that effects traffic ai as far as I know 🤔 Started happening after the last patch.

Now that you mention it, I saw a similar thing happening whilst I was recording this video. The busses for one of my lines just refused to stay on the line and kept creating their own route. If I remember correctly it was a route that I used the way points to direct it up a different road, so it might be a bug with that? Thanks for watching 😁

How can I remove bus stops that have already been created? By that I don't mean the entire bus line, but the individual bus stops.

The most of your tips are from real life what most GAMER of this game do not known after they use only cars in her/his life. I think in opposite to your tip for far away bus stop stations do you can make some more near so that every station have less people to wait too. True life bus stops are diagonally so that the bus driver can see the bus stop at opposite street side first. 😊 Most KZbinr not take care really the public transportation system in C:S or C:S2. But I thinking it can reducing the typical traffic issues in this game. Hopefully other KZbinr see your short video without advertising and change her/his system of public transportation.
