I can’t wait to try to say some of these to the old Vietnamese man I work with. He’d find it hilarious.

I'm a Production Supervisor and I have 10 Vietnamese employees and for the last 8 years I've been trying so hard to learn but I can't pronunciate the words correctly! My native language is Spanish so maybe that's why 😂 I've learned more Japanese in 8 months than what I've learned Vietnamese 😢

I am not sure how your site managed to covertly obtain my email, and subscribe me without my permission... But it makes me reconsider signing up for your program.

Hi there. If you have signed up for free lessons or purchased learning material from HowToVietnamese, you will receive newsletters from HowToVietnamese. On the forms that we use to collect emails, we do let users know about this matter and they can unsubscribe anytime. However, if you recently received an email from Langi.app, I have to thank you for this comment! We run both HowToVietnamese and Langi using the same email service but keep user emails in separate lists. However, when we double checked just a moment ago, we realized HowToVietnamese emails had been linked to the wrong sender (langi.app). Whichever might be your case, if you wish to remove yourself from our email list, kindly send us an email via hello@howtovietnamese.com

@scottweber8272 Hi there. As explained above, we do mention that users will receive newsletters signing up for HowToVietnamese. Unfortunately, we wrongly hooked up HowToVietnamese newsletter to Langi email. That’s why you received an email from Langi, despite only subscribing to HowToVietnamese. Instead of emailing us directly, you resorted to leaving a comment on KZbin and went further into taking the time to send a complaint. I wonder what exactly could we have done that actually enraged you this much? As a teacher and a content creator, I created a lot of content online for people to learn for free. If you’re not interested in supporting my paid content, you can just kindly skip and move on. To make sure none of this will happen again, please provide us with your email so we can ensure to exclude it permanently from all platforms. Thank you.

Two Vietnamese words hop and hoc sound similar. What difference between pronunciation hop and hoc?
@shanebumgarner35772 жыл бұрын
It’s a very subtle difference. It kind of comes down to the position of the tongue at the end of the word
@KNg-pt8wf Жыл бұрын
Hợp is softer. Học is shorter & abrupt in sound. Your cheeks should be more round as well.

Do you know any good vietnamese resources so i can teach my vietnamese girlfriend english? Thank you.
@HowToVietnamese3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Unfortunately I don’t know any as I learned English overseas. But for language learning, I think the types of resource that you might need are short, interesting videos/stories with both English and Vietnam translations.

But are these slangs from the south? Or will people from north also understand them?
@HowToVietnamese3 жыл бұрын
Yes they can understand. The 2 regions are not so far apart and things are shared on the internet. Of course there will be slang words that are more spoken in one region than the others :)
