These are super helpful. Here are the windows versions, some of which are different: Shortcuts Ctrl+p - command pallet Ctrl+l - new checkbox Ctrl+o - search titles, hitting enter on an unfound title will create a new note with this title Ctrl+t - list templates, if not templates are set up a new note will be created Select text then bracket twice - Turns selected text into a link. Ctrl+link - navigates to the linked document or creates one if it doesn't exist Ctrl+tab - navigate to tab on the left, Ctrl+Shift+Tab to go right Ctrl+w - close tab, Ctrl+Shift+t to re-open Ctrl+f - searches the current notes text Ctrl+n - new note, Ctrl+Shift+n for new side-by-side note

thank you so much Vicky, I know how to make atomic notes now, but i wonder what you do with class notes, they are long and organised and has many facts, do you process all of them to atomic notes ? or do you suggest keep a copy of the full notes ? many many thanks.
@VickyZhaoBEEAMP Жыл бұрын
Love the question! I don’t process them if i don’t have a reason to refer to them. But if it’s easy to just copy and paste the whole thing that works too. The key is, when you do refer to some ideas in those notes, I would convert that idea into an atomic note. This way I can break up the full notes into more digestible and linkable pieces! The ideas are more “alive” when they have another idea to hang onto :)

Hi Vicky, I started to test using Obsidian for 2 weeks but my problem is it’s not syncing properly to my ipad. I made a mindmap on canvas on my mac and an atomic note but they’re not on my ipad. I saved my vault in icloud. I tried to create a new vault on my ipad and use obsidian sync but it’s not showing up on my mac. What’s the best way to solve this? Should I use dropbox as server?
