Great video with some good humour and laughs. Not sure about the spiders! Chemicals I'd say or pet frogs. Wife asks, "can we have a video of the inside layout of your boat" safe cruising. Paul.

Thanks Paul. It’s always interesting to see how they turn out because we don’t script a single thing so it’s a collection of bits from our day ‘as it happens’. I like the idea of a pet frog although if most are anything like my brothers old frog they are lazy things and just sit there expecting the bugs to come to them! As for Mrs T’s request the answer is of course, leave that with us. We have tried, and failed three times now to do the boat tour vlog and each has been a mass of us tripping over each other. We never appreciated just how difficult it would be the video such a tight and linear space. Mrs T’s request though has spurred us to attempt number 4 so watch this space… E & S

And Sue, had you put your knickers away when you had your first guest on board? He was a great character. Elliott King of the empty toilet cassettes. Peg on nose mask around mouth thick plastic gloves and air freshener sprayed over clothing and every surface lol. Cold boat, keep your lady warm stop getting up too early to film yourself, lol.😅😅😅 I kept coming back to this adventure and I'm sure I seen a boat at the beginning uou mentioned the work area under glass at the front wow what a long barge that was. Condensation I purchased a karcher window cleaner scrapper thing uou need to charge it up but boy are they good. I'm still giggling you with your fuel dip stick gauge... Thanks for this one I was giggling all the way through. Also Sue will never let that carpet lie will she... 😅😅😅😅😅 All the very best sucking diesel with Ted. Kev the Brinklow kayaker down the side and gone.. 😮

🤣🤣🤣 she had Kev, she had. Mad Mick was a right character and a great person to meet so early on in our journey!! Hopefully we’ll bump into him again. Actually we’ve just edited our new end video (sneak preview this Sunday) and Mad Mick features in it 😎 Cheers 👍

Mmmm! Not bad for your second day afloat and out on the cut. Obviously you are on a steep learning curve at this juncture but you will get there. There are some right characters along the waterways. You will fit in well. ❤

Our second day, wow, that seems an age away and how green we were but all Of this filming was in complete innocence. As I said to the chap talking near the boat club/Marina, who was asking what our channel was, at that point we didn’t even know we were going to actually do it. We just took the footage and waited until I could convince Sue we weren’t going to make complete fools of ourselves at everyone else’s amusement. A year and a half on whether we have achieved that or not could be debated 😱🤣 but my word we have had some laughs and funny moments along the way and we are both still here to tell the tales… 😍

I always enjoy your vlogs, thank you. As to the spiders, a couple of other boating vlogs I watch have taken off the mushroom vents on the top of their boats and put a layer of window screen mesh inside, then put the mushroom vents back on. That and rigging up screens on the portholes & windows worked for them to greatly reduce the number of bugs getting into their boats. A couple of vlogs back, you remarked on smoke coming out of the engine bay and were worried about a fire onboard--If you mentioned that again and said what the cause was, I must have missed it. Just curious, since you're obviously all right and still cruising. Greetings from the Southeastern US! Looking forward to your next upload. Dan

Not that I am a expert however I do have experience with, the likes of eberspacher diesel heater that generally smoke a lot when first started. I took it to be that. However, the engine definitely did look smokey. That oil change ide might be a good one 👍 Paul

Hi Dan - thanks so much for the kind words, we’re glad you enjoy the vlogs and it’s always puts a smile on our faces when people reach out to tell us so 👍 especially when it’s from so far away!! That’s super helpful on the bug mitigation we’ll give that a look. Sue is learning to dislike them less which I think is a good strategy because we are in the great outdoors after all. Will take a look at the mushroom vent idea for sure so thanks for sharing that! Thankfully the ‘fire’ wasn’t one and all is well. In the next vlog due out the smoking starts again and there’s some debate and realisation about what it could be…luckily we realise it isn’t a fire this time and the penny drops as it were! Captain Elliott and Sue calling uou pugwash lol. 😂😂 you made me laugh a dip stick looking for a dip stick 😮 By the looks of that oil you'd be right it is requiring some clean oil and filter, I'd flush it too and new fuel filter but why I'm stating this in a vlogg from 1 year ago I've no idea and your a car guy, petrol head but I presume diesel head is same thing. 1.5 ltr you could do some speed with that beauty lol. I bet the engine bay is cleaner now. Live uour fuel dipstick but hey it works doesn't it, downside is it picks up contaminants when it's wet sitting on uour boat. Cap I bet uou purchased a brand new sparkly one by now lockable... I'm just being picky ignore me its about enjoying the waterways and having fun only to have a dark cloud cast over you from the CRT office lol. O and spiders big as your sink. I wad told to put bag of concers in each corner of the room to deter spiders from coming into your home😂😂😂😂 Answer is NO before you ask, it doesn't work....😂😂😂😂😂 Watch the rest now.. Kev kayaker Brinklow lazy today..😅😮😅😮
