If you love legends, myths, and folklore, then California is the place for you. The size and scope of its natural wonders provide a sense of fantasy that does not come from Hollywood. There are otherworldly landscapes everywhere, from massive ancient trees to volcanic basins and dangerous deserts, rocky plains, and cacti-covered mesas.

Aside from a few misplaced clips, and factual errors, this was enjoyable to watch. By the way, Big Sur and Point Reyes National Seashore are about 5 hours apart. Wouldn’t recommend doing both in one day.

Nice list. Having been to all of these except Point Reyes and Pinnacles, I can appreciate the general accuracy of the list. I do think you should check your pronunciations, though. I don’t remember all of the mispronunciations, but I do remember “Sonoran.” It is pronounced with two long o’s and the accent on the second syllable.

While national parks and national monuments and national seashores are all under the Department of the Interior, I don't think they should be categorized the same. They are named differently for a reason. Point Reyes is a National Seashore (and beautiful to visit). Devil's Post Pile is also worthy of the trip but is a monument, not a park. Words matter. Also, I was a bit confused seeing ocean scenes during the description of Pinnacles NP. Except for the few errors, a good video to encourage visiting California's multiple ecosystems.

Absolutely, you bring up a great point about the distinction between national parks, monuments, and seashores. I'm glad you found the video compelling in showcasing California's diverse natural wonders. It's indeed a state rich in varied landscapes, from coastal seashores to towering mountains, and each deserves its moment in the spotlight. Thanks for sharing your insights!
