Once you make the jump, you’ll never look back!! I got to about 65 designers before I made the leap (I probably had about 10 niche at the time), but niche/indie is all I buy now. Designers just pump out repetitive flankers of the same nonsense, niche/indie is where the true art is. Once I switched, I wondered what took me so long. Just be sure to sample first instead of blind buying (which you can usually get away with if buying designers), but niche is very individualized and specific to your nose. Best wishes.

Elysium is a no go for me. I had the parfum version which cost a kings ransom and yes the scent profile is great BUT. It doesn't project and it doesn't last. For the price it's performance is abysmal.

There are quite a few of us who just can't throw 500.00 on a bottle whenever they feel like it. So, yes, I personally would stick to my body oils over these overpriced luxuries. They are nice to own, if you can afford them, but your wallet may disagree with you if you cannot. 🤷🏾‍♂️ My Elysium, Aventus, Angel's Share, Naxos, and Layton are all on point, and I get no complaints.

What is the hype behind bleeker street? I have tried time and time again to see what the hype is for and there is absolutely NOTHING special about it. I get it fragrance scents are subjective, but my goodness the scent is so average smelling. There is nothing unique or distinct about it, but I guess.

@@L2snakegold I have worn it on skin, but the actual scent profile just didn’t wow me. Also, the longevity didn’t seem very great on my skin as well. It is not a bad scent, but there is no wow factor to it to justify the price. It kind of reminds me of Byredo bal d’afrique because I feel the same way about that fragrance. Smells good just does not give me that wow factor. I have a bunch of niche fragrances that are definitely not worth the price that I paid some well over $1000 but they have the wow/it factor to them. Honestly, most of these fragrances aren’t worth what they cost but if something is unique and stands apart from other fragrances and absolutely blows you away then I understand the price. This fragrance I just didn’t get that blow me away effect.

@ I get that me I never started with clones and that is not throwing shade at anyone. There are some that like them and we all work for our money so it is the individual to choose what to spend it on. Some find value in the clones which is fine for them. For me I don’t like the fact that they will wait until a company comes up with an idea a fragrance and then just go and make a carbon copy of it. When that is the foundation of what some of these companies are built on I have a problem with that. That is just me. Now do I fault them, from a business standpoint point no because it make sense and money. Not everyone has to money or willing to pay hundreds or $ on a fragrance they just do not have it or don’t see value in that. So there is a market for this. But me I just could never do it. If I can’t afford it I will save make sacrifices or wait until I can afford it. Not going to brake the bank but not doing a clone either. That’s just me but in this community buy and wear what you want what makes you feel good.

Roja Elysium EDP is so overrated. I bought a bottle and it is has terrible performance. I've got to spray 20+ spritzes just to get anything out of it. Now the original Parfum is the real winner. I sampled it at a store and 2 sprays on my arm lasted 14hrs
