It took a while, but I really enjoy having Karl as the host. This more casual form really works.

Agreed. I never understood the hysteria over Simon frankly, although I still enjoy a few of his channels. I would enjoy them more however, if he would start insisting that the writers were better at fact checking.

The spaghetti one reminded me of a commercial that Howie Mandell made back in the 80s where pasta was grown on trees. Except, tortellini must have been an animal because Howie says at one point that his dad died when he was trampled by a herd of tortellini. Lol

8:00 Who in the world would believe that the foam on a beer would stay at the bottom because the barley was planted “upside down” or that one could even plant a seed “upside down”. You plant a seed, and it grows. Technically speaking, there’s no upside down to a seed. Sure it has a top and a bottom if you’re holding it, but functionally…

Karl ... the Loch Ness Monster? The famous surgeon's photo - the most famous photo of the monster - was a hoax that was exposed years after the hoaxer's death in a letter left to his son. It's a toy submarine. Also, from around the same time, the monster "footprint" made using a hippopotamous foot umbrella stand.

I’d love the opportunity to write for a channel that I’ve been enjoying for years. If there is an email or contact that I can reach to discuss further, please let me know on the comment thread.

This whole article is a wonderful example of terrifyingly great power marketing and manipulation! We need to consider these examples examples as we are told amazing and highly questionable stories about various candidates in the upcoming upcoming presidential elections. Many things need to be with a grain of salt and a large shot tequila! Thank you for reminding us how easily we believe weird things!

I am hoping Santa brings me a Spaghetti tree next Xmas. I wonder if I could use a spaghetti tree instead of a traditional Xmas tree. Anyway, what about Orson Welle's infamous War of the Worlds hoax? When I first heard or learned about it, I seem to remember that the article or articles I read about it said that it was a hoax but I have recently read that it was not intended by Welles to be a hoax so maybe it doesn't qualify. But it sure did scare a lot of people.
@bitingfinger10 ай бұрын
im surprised you didnt have the story of a radio host tricking people into believing the war of the worlds radio drama was real, for those who havent heard it there is a vinyl version of war of the worlds that sounds like a news broadcast.
@russelllomando846011 ай бұрын
what happened to Orson Wells radio broadcast of 'War of the Worlds'? Us v the Martians it was on 10/30 1938
@AltonV11 ай бұрын
Not a hoax. According to snopes>: "Contrary to common nomenclature, Welles' "War of the Worlds" broadcast was not a "hoax" sprung on an unsuspecting audience. Rather, the show was a regularly scheduled and announced episode of The Mercury Theatre on the Air, a radio program dedicated to presenting dramatizations of literary works."

As I've stated before, Karl is a much better host than Whistler. Simon makes the videos about his opinion of the subject, Karl is much more unobtrusive. He puts his "two cents" in but doesn't go on long self absorbed rants like Simon does.
