The crowd cheering for Tsu after ZeRo already won the grand finals perfectly shows why he stop playing competitively. He just worked his ass off to win an extremely stressful and difficult match and he gets to celebrate for two seconds before realizing everyone in the crowd was and still is routing against him

Gash sad thing is that’s the way for sports to. New England patriots were practically always make it to the finals and everyone wanted them to lose. Besides far east states. Players like Lebron and curry would always be against them because they were on super teams. People switch up on their icons because they want variety and they like seeing the underdogs win. Bruh have you actually seen the video. Yes they cheered for TSU cause he was the underdog and upsets are always hype to the crowd, but they also cheered ZeRo for being able to keep his legacy alive. The crowd cheered on both of them. I’m not saying your exactly wrong here, Smash tournament crowds are for the most part the main reason why ZeRo no longer competes, but this shouldn’t be the example. This was one of those sets where the crowd didn’t see the competitors, they just saw a damn good match and were hella hyped by the performance of both players. It’s one of the times where the tournament crowd was actually pretty awesome.

I feel bad saying this but I like the sm4sh mechanics a lot better... as ultimate gets more optimized I’m sure that’ll change but power shields and non directional air dodges meant for much more read-heavy sets IMO

ZeRo is still considered to be the best smash player to ever play in the Chile scene (where he grew up) and the whole world. He gets so much hate for nothing and quits because how rude the community is. ZeRo was by far the most gifted player out of them all include some harsh conditioning he did during his grind. edit: ZeRo's run in Evo 2015 is still considered to be the best run in his career because of his performance in that tournament was unmatched. pretty much winning every map he plays, especually closing out on Grand Finals on Mr. R (Ramen).
