Wow your HD cactus section is amazing. Here in Texas it’s the same basic succulents/cacti every year, occasionally they’ll get like 1 or 2 variegated SOH that get sold immediately. I’ve noticed the stores in the suburbs sometimes have more interesting stuff.

Great choices, Patrick!! Years ago when I still lived at home I had every color Plumeria I could get my hands on!! I also planted a Madagascar palm in my parents front planter and it got HUGE!! You forgot to mention the Madagascar palm blooms beautifully.

I found the pretty rare variegated Desert Roses at a local nursery 🤘 and pink princess philodendrons at my local HEB grocery store of all places 🤷 (i live in deep South Texas)

So I actually found one of the Philodendron Florida Greens a couple months ago! :’) It has two large stems, and they were already growing in such a way that I could very easily wrap them both around a coir pole. They’d just been put out I think, it was pretty early in the day, so I got lucky I guess! In nTX they were only $30 I believe? But - I will say that it *HATED* that coir basket it came in! It was suffocating the roots, (in which case mine were already coming out of the bottom of the plastic nursery pot), and the plastic lining in it smells like.. I can’t even describe it, but it’s not natural and made me gag 🥲 lmao. As soon as I took it off in the store, and then left it off for my next hour of shopping, did I see it perking back up. The others were even starting to get brown/yellow spots on the leaves by the end of the hour :( She’s happy and healthy in a terracotta pot now though, and about to put out a new leaf 💕🥹
