10 of the HARDEST Trophies in Resident Evil

I am a sucker for trophies and achievements. I love them. Everytime I get one it’s like a little pat on the back giving me that sweet dopamine hit. But then you have those trophies that are insanely difficult and get in the way of you and that shiny platinum trophy. Or whatever the Xbox equivalent is. And Nintendo doesn’t care, as usual. But going back to those difficult trophies I thought this would be a great time to reminisce about those trophies in my favorite game franchise that gave me hell throughout the years.

Yea cause every time someone adds a "Who's Your Daddy" comment to the video it adds to the algorithms engagement measurements. Would be the only reason he put it on the list lol. For any that are curious it's earned by completing the game on Madhouse difficulty which is the max difficulty, normally you need to beat the game just to unlock it and unlike other max difficulty it goes beyond simply making the enemies hit harder and you can't take or give as much damage and actually redesigns enemy placements in the game, the same way Infernal difficulty does in Revelations 1

no way beating re2 on hardcore is the hardest trophy. you are nuts. the hardest for me peresonally was the minigame in re0 where you have to find all the leeches and kill all the enemies. Playing RE2 on hardcore was a grand time compared to that.

Got all Trophies for RE1-8, RECV, RE0, RE Revelations 1 & 2, and RE Resistance. Didn't get the Plat for RE ORC but I did get most of the trophies for it. Can't wait for more RE trophies in the future!

I'm not a pro Resident Evil player and struggled with alot of these trophies, but you NEED the Circular Saw and defence coins to make Mad House a brilliant experience, beating Madhouse unlocks the Infinite Ammo tool!

Some of these are not really hard, but more so tedious or time consuming (like every nook and cranny or mad skillz, which you can get by replaying a tiny portion of some Jake chapter), and for RE0's no healing achievement you can use infinite ammo on easy, and you can get the magnum revolver at the very beginning

The only thing I’m missing with 7 is the plat for beating the base game on mad house. And yet I got the plat on end of Zoe which had a difficulty that nearly broke my sanity.

These are super easy after u beat madhouse so that u can have infinite weapon. The only time u get to use the item box is 1 the one before the "puzzle room" 2 After puzzle room. 3rd time is the last time that is the final boss fight. after puzzle room u would have infinite aummo and the rest is a fun and easy

I have the Steam equivalent of the Platinum for RE1R, and I personally found knife only much harder than either achievement here, especially since I got "every nook and cranny" by accident while looking for ammo on my first playthrough of normal. However, I do agree with the invisible enemies one, that was hard. Great video!

For me, my kryptonite is the thropies that require online play. In my opinion, playing RE2R on hardcore difficultly is the best way to experience the game. Take the eastwing office zombies for example, they all despawn when you return to the RPD after the first Birkin fight. That's like 15-19 bullets spared for a different fight. Once you get the hang of it, it's just normal difficultly with ink ribbons

Regarding the sheriff one in re2, I beat that one accidentally while showing my daughter what that mode was. I was just kind of practicing when I realized I had somehow reached 97 out of 100 kills

Personally, i only did the one with the Sheriff on RE2R and the CV battle mode with Wesker, in both first and third person camera. Lemme tell you, if running with a knife on regular cam seems a challenge, switching to first person makes it 10 times harder because you've got no peripheral vision and need to absolutely strike at the right moments to avoid any additional damage coming your way. an honorable mention I think, in Resident Evil 4 VR in The Mercenaries, the challenge where you have to get a 5 start ranking on the village stage playing as Leon WHITH Ashley, that one took me quite a while and was the last one I finished

Well it depends on person i guess. I didn't even try finishing RE2 Hardcore, let alone getting S+ rank. I didn't even bother to get such high rank on normal difficulty, way too hard for me. But i have no problem beating Madhouse and i consider Heisenberg fight in RE8 Village of Shadows mode to be very easy, while a lot of people couldn't beat it.

I think a lot people misunderstood how to fight him and used cannon to hurt him when you should only use machine gun for damage and fire cannon to push him back if he gets close. I guess it might also be harder on consoles cause aiming with mouse is much easier.

Personally I don’t know what I’d say is the hardest between madhouse, Re2R’s hardcore, or Re8 village of shadows. As far as potentially the hardest imo, I’d say the “Frugalist” achievement on Re4R. While anyone realistically taking on this trophy challenge will do so on easy or normal. I can only imagine trying to do it on professional difficulty.

RE7 was a great experience overall, and one of the few RE games I got both main game and DLC trophies. Not to mention Ethan must die is an absolute BLAST and I can't reccomend it enough, it's one of the biggest enjoyments I got out of a Resident Evil game.

I didn't actually have any problems with hardcore mode or unlocking the infinite weapons but I also watched a guide on it. Darkness has a really solid everyman's guide. Honestly, 4th survivor is the only reason I don't have the plat for RE2R. I just gave up.

The hardest achievement/trophy I ever got playing a Resident Evil game was beating Resident Evil 2 remake on hardcore mode. It was pretty hard, and I was somehow able to not only beat it, but I was able to get an S rank and unlock the LE5 which is the infinite MP5 sub machine gun, as well as get the trophy for beating either Leon or Claire's scarnio while getting under a number of steps. I was shocked that I was able to get all those trophies unlocked on my first try too, and I didn't die once when doing all of that too.

I took a break years ago. I use to Platimum any game I loved. Resident Evil is right up there with my favorite franchise playing it for over 2 decades. I went thru and Platinumed most games. REmake was super interesting because I use to play it so much on the GC but as an adult seeing in in HD running it for Platinums makes me my heart beat. RE2 OG will always have a special place in my heart but the remake really brought that old PS1 game to life and I coudnt stop playing. My now wife hates Resident Evil specifically because of the RE2make and how much i played it. After the Platinum I still played because I loved speed running and playing it. I still need the Platinum for 0 and Revelations :'(

BTW Doing RE7 Who's your daddy achievement is pretty easy if you first beat the game on standard, and doing bonus things that give you neat unlocks. You can for example get Essence & Secrets of Defense which will negate ALL dmg on block. Pretty neat, makes it a breeze

Hardcore College student was less difficult for me since Claire gets the Grenade Launcher, that makes things a little easier. Leon on the other hand, that was a pain. So much so that I stopped playing it after so many failed attempts. Back in February, i finally decided to bite and bullet and try again. After some failed attempts, I finally was able to beat it and unlock the Rocket Launcher. It was so satisfying. I went on a killing spree with it afterwards, for going through so much trouble of obtaining it.

I made ‘Legendary Cowboy’ even harder on myself because I wanted the lightsaber. A lot of gamer rage spiked from that. ‘Universe’s Best Dad’ was alright with the infinite magnum…until I got stuck on the Heisenberg boss for three hours, even with the strategies I learned. For RE1 “ Every Nook & Cranny” you don’t need to open every door, just clear all rooms and pickup all items, I just got the trophy following An Optinoob guide

madhouse for re7 almost broke me. the majority of it was actually pretty great. but the final area of the salt mine where you had to ascend a spiral quarry like area was a fucking nightmare. only to be greeted with 2 fat molded and a tough molded. only way out was a ladder that you could easily be knock off of. Literally almost caused me to drop playing it ever again it was so insane

I would add the “only knife no stomps, no weapons defense and no lighter” of Re1R even on very easy difficulty it can pretty turns real hard specially the crimson boss on the coffin and yawn they’re hold up one of a hell with the knife and they can turn very difficult.

Only ones I don't have are the ones in Revelations. Also as for RE3 Remake being forgiving in using infinite ammo on the highest difficulty, my theory is that the game wasn't really play-tested on said difficulty, especially the final boss...whose encounter is ridiculous. However, that encounter definitely helped improve my dodging AND admittedly, it's so satisfying when those dodges are consecutive, which spurred me to carry on.

Every nook and cranny is made easier if you play on the highest difficulty. Less ammo and health pickups naturally and most of the items you'll actually need. I did it recently as Chris and it only added an extra 15 minutes or so to my usual playtime.

I beat orginal re3 using knife only years ago. The clock tower fight was soo hard and my heart beat like my drunk dad, and my hands shaked so much. That's one of my most difficult challenges. But satisfaction is high.

I'm no trophy hoarder, but a few trophies came out on me in a whim AS I play Resident Evil 5 (which is the only game in the homebrewed PS3) but hey! Achievements are achievements and you can't deny once obtained. Anyways, Crow Country is released, so I'll look forward to see you in playing this in your spare time like your Resi Gaiden Playthough.

Hands down the hardest RE trophy is the EU PAL version of "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better..." In Code Veronica X. You have to complete Claire A Battle game in under 6 mins 10 seconds however the EU PAL version runs at a slower FPS than the NA version but the time is still the same. Speedrunners do it around 6 mins so you literally have to be close to a speedrunner record to get it xD The second hardest for me was beating RE3 on Inferno Mode. The final Nemesis boss fight took me a good 20 attempts

RE 1 remake at least for me was the hardest RE to Platinum, followed by Village and 2 remake. The Village of shadows mercenaries difficult is brutal and frustrating to get a S rank. Even the main game in this difficult is insane. I didn't knew you could start VoS with the last playthrough weapons and upgrades. I was stuck in the first cabin with the werewolves for days. If you didn't play VoS without strong weapons you don't know how brutal it is. Hardcore in RE 2 is very hard too, specially Claire's scenario B. I literally beat the "dog" William Birkin with my last shock bullet and on danger and with the timer almost at 0. And i failed a lot, so much that i thought i would have to start the game again.

It's funny that I think 2 trophies are actually not that hard to unlock. The RE6 and Revelations one. Especially from Revelations surprised me. About the RE6 trophy. Since there are trophies for beating all chapters on all characters on all difficulties it's better to do that. It will give you either nearly enough or even more points as you need for the upgrades. Yes I know many people not like the game (I love it) and would jump to the hardest trophy related difficulty and get done with it but it is way easier doing it like this. Just my opinion And to revelations. I remember having an easy time with it alone since I knew what to do from the 3DS version where I not even tried and got all except 1 level on S Rank.

I got the platinums for the RE1, RE2, RE4 Remake, RE7 and RE Village. I might try to go back for RE3 Remake at some point. The RE1 platinum trophy is something I’m really happy I got lol

Man. 4th Survivor trophy for RE2 Remake wrecked me. I think it was Grim Reaper. Can’t remember for sure., It took so so so long to get. But it was fun. I have to go for trophies to feel like I get my money’s worth.

I came here just to say who's your daddy now? But for those who aren't aware of the trophy (Kai skipped the description), you have to beat the game on Madhouse difficulty, which is hardmode on crack. Enemies and items are rearranged, with more monsters and fewer crafting items available. You'll also need to use cassette tapes in order to save, much like the ink ribbons of past entries.

the toughest trophies in resident evil that I obtained were SS rank all levels on mercenaries in RE8 mainly due to the enemies that randomly lay around and not being able to find them unlike normal mercenaries where they come to you. and the trophy from RE5 when you had to remove the device from jills chest because you needed two players so I had to do it alone with two controllers 😂 The invisible enemy mode from RE1 remake was surprisingly easy and really enjoyable. The hardest part for me was fighting plant 42 when you couldn’t see the tentacles. It didn’t help though that I did that run with the knife only run 🙈

Resident Evil 4 Remake and 3 Remake have the most annoying achievements especially 4 with how bad it is thanks to crosshair bloom and enemy stun lock

The only achievements I don't have from this video are: - Seventh Circle Overseer, I'll get it eventually. - Power Hungry, since Code Veronica isn't on Steam. The hardest achievements for me are the multiplayer ones for RE5 and RE6 simply because nobody plays them... and there's also "Ethan Never Dies" for RE7.

I have yet to platinum 7, re0, 1, 4, remake 4, 5, revelations 1 and 2. The worst thing is the one factor that stops me from getting the plat in both versions of re4 is the shooting range. I am just so bad at it, but I know with dedication I can unlock it.

I've gotten #10, 9, 6, & 1. I platinumed both Resident Evil Origins Collection games. Number 3 is the one that's keeping me from 100%ing RE2 remake (tho I also have to get the Grim Reaper trophy for the main game). Didn't realize that the PS4 version of Code Veronica X has a different trophy set than the PS3 version... I may have to acquire that if a remake of it doesn't get announced sometime...

A friend first got me an S+ on RE2 Remake so I was able to complete Hardcore with ease using the Infinite Rocket Launcher and getting easy S ranks after but I bought the unlock everything for 5 bucks pack when on my alternate account and just cheesed it by using the Infinite Rocket Launcher to beat Hardcore mode.
