This is great stuff. Exactly what I was looking for. In-depth accounts. Not some bullet point whitewash documentary

Love your work keep it up. 1:27:14 nothing to do with the old west, but I’m quite surprised by it and proud of it so I’m gonna tell it. My dad, side of the family or descendants of Queen Victoria and my wife’s wedding ring was passed down from Queen Victoria. Authenticated and legally documented all the way.

At night around the campfire the tribe plays "Roman Knows!?" Where they test Roman's knowledge on all sorts of subjects.

It is fascinating to live right in the middle of the area where many of these battles took place. I live in Southern Cheyenne country (where many of them live today). I can be in Arapaho country in thirty minutes. I can be in Kiowa country in 45 minutes. Lipan Apache country in a little over an hour and in Comanche country in about two hours. Many other tribes are in the near area as well (Wichita, Caddo, Delaware, other Apache tribes).

Black Kettle died at the Washita in 1868. He survived Sand Creek in Nov 1864 with his wife. He died face down, in the icy water. A 'Peace Chief'. Mo'ohtavetoo'o 🙏

If you haven’t seen the movie, Windwalker that came out in 1980 that’s probably one of the best movies about the Cheyenne that I’ve ever seen.

Something i always try to get a good anser to since i was a little kid and started to like history spesily western time viking times and a lot of others cultuers is what they smoked in their pipes in a spiritual invited to get anser or vison by the native s i heard it was herbs, spices, pot or tobacco but never get a good anser do really someone know what they had in their pipes my guess must be some sydelick herbs to see viseons but i feel that maybe it was something else? because so much lost of course of the people who dident respect or understand the native s they could get vision s by the things They did in the medecin serminos . Maybe not by whatever they smoked in their pipes .But im really curisus if someone actaly , knows what They had in their pipes maybe it just something Holly smoke in the ritual?i known it s a strange Quisten and badly Written but im really enjoying the storys and its my third language and i speak America n way better then writing it im really sorry for that reason but if someone knows what They smoked in their pipes for sure i m depley thanks for the answer greetings cz 75 Shadow Norway 75% viking and 25% colombian. But proud of the natives always been honord by em and always wonder how the world and storys had been if not the Spanish and in western time the European s hadent had way better fire Arms, smallcops war to say it nicley and greed not just in America or South America but in Africa or others places in the world i love storys of the history and Love to learn more about western to because this Chanel had a lot of storys i never heard Just a few of them thanks for great work and upload. And sorry if i wrote so much and remember it s just my opinion we all have the right to our own opinions 🙏🏻💯

Most likely depended on the tribe itself and their practices. Some tribes used peyote to see hallucinations. Also hallucinations could’ve come from fasting for spiritual purposes. 👍🏾

@@SquirrelMan848 thanks ive heard that some did peyto Apache and in the Amazon tribes actaly coka but must be the coka leaves but what they smoked in their pipes i heard so much different stuff from mary jane, herbs, spices or tobako even shanga but never got a real anser what they had in their pipes like in a peaceful meeting or in a greater seeking of the spirit s or gods but thanks for the anser it cool to get wiser and im sure you right about it depends on the tribes. Have a great weekend

I just wanted to tell you thank you for making these videos. They are the best historical videos I like to watch and learn from about my Native American Brothers and Sisters on line. Your story telling and knowledge are amazing. And I really learn a lot and enjoy them immensely.
