Today we look at a fascinating, beautiful, and occasionally strange array of marine creatures from the East Coast US-- several found near Florida, but mostly from near Delaware. You'll find many great denizens of the deep in this countdown, including fish, cephalopods, a crustacean, and much more🦑

Great start to the show with Jim Gifford's fantastic track, _"Tired of Fear".._ 🎶 Definitely a little romance in the air with the octopus gazing lovingly upon the sea spider, a cusk eel snuggling up close to a beautiful sea urchin and the perfect symbiotic relationship between a dear ole hermit crab and his anenome.. ❤ I am such a romantic! 😁 Thanks to my beloved DSO, as always, for haunting music (some of my very fave tracks here!) and spectacular footage of creatures of the deep.. (I loved the red hake right at the end..) 🙏💚🐙

At 44:36, the amphipod appears to be a species of Cystisoma. They're really cool--very transparent except for a small visceral mass and the retinas of their enormous compound eyes.
