Amazing fragrance this, 1725. What a real beauty this really is. I also love 1740 and Ambre 114. All 3 of these are 10/10 for me. Beautiful review mate, loved watching it!

Thanks for covering Histoires de Parfums, they have some gems, I've tried a few. Really great quality, I think their bottles/presentation, although not at all bad, do not do the quality of the frags justice; reasonable prices for really good-to-great fragrances, they can easily compete with the best of niche and indy houses. P.S. Great opening, lol. I was hoping for an actual answer, but the laugh was worth the trade-off. ;)

I was expecting some ingenious method of checking the juice level in an opaque bottle but then.... Love it. I have the 60mL bottle and really enjoy the scent, very pleasant work scent, stays around all day in a non-obtrusive way. I think i'm gonna wear it today here in Las Vegas.

Idk is it just me ? but does 1725 really smell like powder? Baby powder? The review on the video didn’t mention about it being powdery but for me its really strong powdery which i dont like? Like why buy a expensive bottle that smell identical to a baby powder?

Love the video concept and yep pretty much with you on your review. I was thinking about buying a large bottle but then tried 1740... I do appreciate the house for their little discovery set seems to contain no duds (even like to wear the female scents). 10/10 scents? Aventus, Sartorial (both Penhaligon's and Pal Zileri), Lalique Pour Homme Equus (wonderful and to my nose have smelled nothing like it)... several others blah blah blah. Peace.

Brilliant as usual great presentation have watched alot of your videos and enjoyed every release your knowledge is excellent and very helpful I liken you to Alan Partridge you have the same passion for your pastime/hobbie like him you are very intense and nothing will sway you from your love of fragrances.The live videos prove this point testing fragrances in your local pub at the weekend is the stuff Alan would salute I mean not every pub in the UK has its very own. live fragrances reviewer on hand to dish out valuable information and ask people how he smells priceless and then go on the streets and be verbally abused trying to spread the word about how beautiful you smell Mr Shitty being a case in point how dare he interrupt your work shouting his foul and abusive language where women where present totally tasteless doesn't he realise the Importance of your work and the difference your making to people's lives after all if it wasn't for you and all the other reviewers the world would a less tolerable place to live and a whole lot smellier if Steve Coogan is looking to ressurect Alan again he need look no further than yourself to be honest I think he may have based the brilliant Partridge on you in his famous own words back of the net knowing me knowing you maybe the BBC could link up with you and Smurfygirl and make a fragrance sitcom it would be compulsive viewing you are a legend in the making and I think you and us your adoring fans know that fame and recognition are only a phonecall away in the meantime keep entertaining the masses and the locals at your local and us your adoring fans because a week without mr.smelly would be like xmas without santa Please could do a couple more videos just outside your place of work they are my all time favourites those ones are real edge of the seat stuff can you imagine what would happen if you're workmates or worse still your boss caught you taken a couple of sly shots of pineapple vintage intense around by the staff car park I dread to think what would happen you if your secret was exposed so for God's sakeDan please please be careful when taken on those extreme missions we don't want to lose our fragrance king/hero anytime soon Can't wait for your big double review on blue Stratos and hi karate they don't make them like that anymore I know you will do them both justice Cubaknow is the only other reviwer who doesn't take himself serious Full Respect to both of you

Hey MrSmelly, or everyone in the community, I actually have an issue related to the intro: someone is offering me a deal on Dunhill Icon 100ml, but I can't see how much is left in the bottle... would someone please weight the bottle, without the box? The guy weighted the bottle, so let's compare on how much your weight, and how much do you think is left. C'mon it will be fun! Thanks!
@MrSmelly19777 жыл бұрын
HI Diego. The bottom of the bottle should be see through glass. So he should be able to tell you approx how much is left by turning the bottle on its side.
@diegohernan827 жыл бұрын
I asked the guy a pic of the bottom of the bottle. It looked fine. Bought it, 31€ shipped for 100ml. Amazing perfume. Thanks man.

It's very different Liam. Sartorial is at the opposite end of the barbershop spectrum as it's much drier and more old fashioned smelling. Still very nice though!

As I've stated in other reviews of 1740, I made the mistake of blind buying this based on general consensus of agreeably positive masculine notes, accords (e.g. leather. tobacco, booze, patchouli, etc). What people failed to mention about 1740 is that it mostly projects a nauseating "grandmother" smell of baby powder, and attic moth balls. Think expired talc powder of violet, lavender, and jasmine. And this is the dominant profile from start to finish. So yes, masculinity exists, faintly in 1740, but it scarcely matters as its drowned in a bath of sickly sweet expired powders. If you want to smell masculine or sexy, this is definitely not it. If you want to smell like grandma's corpse, this is the "daring/bold" being spoken of here.
