ok Australain here, time for a few edits! 1: that yellow XB was in fact the earlier XA, but i'll forgive you on that one lol 2: the XY GTHO Phase 3 was in fact capable of hitting 240kph & only claimed 300hp to keep the insurance companys "happy" 3: the Opel Commodore GS/E never sold here 4: THE GTHO Phase 4 would have dominated the Australian touring car championship had they not been banned for being too fast (long story but the media blew them way out of proportion with "160mph suprcars soon") & only 4 were built not 400 5: that is a Holden HQ Monaro GTS the Commodore name didnt come about untill 1979 with the VB Commodore, and the GTS Monaro was never a rival for the GT Falcon haha 6: a Leyland P76 as number 1 seriosly? that had a V8 and some dress up kits from factory but it wasnt a Muscle car, it was a very nice car but a muscle car it was not! for an Australian Leyland Muscle car look below. Fun Fact: the "HO" in GTHO was going to stand for "High Output" but the insurance companys jumped up and down about it so Ford changed it to "Handling Options" BTW: 5 more Aussie Muscle cars for you to check out; Leyland Force 7, Holden XU1 Torana, Holden SL/R 5000, Ford Falcon XC Cobra, Ford Falcon XE ESP. 😎

@0:14 - 1965 U.S.A. Model Falcon. Australia never got this (1964-65) body shape / @7:41 - Number 4 - the Opel Commodore GS/E. Zero of this Model / Series were ever sold in Australia / @8:43 - There were FOUR Phase 4's Built & the suplus high performance pieces were distubuted in the R.P.O 83 Option. @9:45 - This is a HQ Holden SS Sedan (1971 to 1974), not a Commodore by any stretch of the imagination. Considering the first Commodore the VB was released in 1978, the 1968-1974 bit is laughable. E49 is a designation for a Chrysler Valiant Charger. THe standard engine in the HQ SS was a 4.2 Litre / 253 Cubic Inch Slug, the 5.0 Litre / 308 Cubic Inch V8 was an Option. Very Badly Researched

When showing the HT Monaro you also showed HK & HG Monaro's, the very opening photo was a HK. XB GT, you got that right at the start then cut to a yellow XA and then throw in an XA Hardtop as well. Only 2899 XB GT's were built, not 7500 as you claim, there were 1950 Sedans and 949 Hardtops. The XB ran from 1973-1976. Australia never sold the Opal Commodore GS/E it was an British and European car and I believe some were sold in South Africa. We did sell a Commodore made by Holden, the Blue VK SS Group A that was featured was a Commodore. HDT stood for Holden Dealer Team and only one model of Commodore ever worn the HDT name and the was the VC Commodore. The XA GT Phase 4 was never made or sold by Ford Australia, 3 race version were prepared but never raced and were canned due to the Super Car Scare in the early 70's. One was built for public sale and sits in private hands. XA models only ran from March 72 until September 73. 1968-1974 Holden E49 Commodore SS "NO SUCH THING" An E49 is a Chrysler Charger for a start, Commodore was not released by Holden until mid 1978 and is based on the European Opal platform. What you have here is a Holden HQ SS, which ran a 253 (4.2L) V8. The GTS came with a 308 (5.0L) V8. The HQ model was built from July 1971 until early 1974, only 1300 HQ SS were built! The HQ SS is more rare than the HQ GTS and are not easily obtainable. It is not an E49 and it is not a Commodore! If I was you I would pull this video from KZbin, do the research properly and not embarrass yourself for a second time

HT Monaro GTS 350, but mixed up with images of mainstream HT GTS, and HK Monaros. XB Falcon GT Hardtop. Mixed up with images of XB GT sedans, and XA GTs XA GTHO Phase 4 never made it into mass production. A few prototypes were completed in 1972 only. The car you're calling a 1968-1974 Holden E49 Commodore SS, is actually a 1971 Holden HQ SS, only available with a 253 (4.2 Litre) V8. No rival at all to any Falcon GT. I wouldn't exactly call the P76 a muscle car, it was an 'ok' performer for what it was. It certainly had its faults, as did any new model, and those combined with its ungainly looks, no die-hard customer base, and Leyland's worldwide financial woes, meant it ended well before they could perfect it. But hey, you did probably as well as I'd do, if I tried to make a video on American cars.

0:28, "Holden HT Monaro GTS 350" *shows picture of HK GTS 327* 7:25 E49 Charger had "...only a 4 speed transmission..." Well, we're SORRY! Perhaps you should have featured the earlier E38 which had a THREE speed. 7:42, What he HELL is an Opel Commodore doing in this countdown??!? 9:43 "1968-74 Holden E49 Commodore SS" SOOO many mistakes in one short article. the Holden HQ SS was basically an option pack based on the lowest priced HQ Belmont, certainly no challenger to the Falcon GT. Additionally the HQ had ATROCIOUS handling which was not cured until the introduction of RTS in the HZ Series (c1977). 10:47, Leyland P76 V8?? You're kidding, you're kidding right? Interesting in it's own right, especially the Targa Florio edition, but FAR from any thought of being a muscle car. Overall 1/10, do not recommend. Go do some research before posting.

The HQ Holden SS was only produced with the smaller 253 , 4.2 litre V8 engine and is NOT a Muscle Car , it was a cheap entry level 4 door sedan . The number 8 car , our XY GT-HO phase 3 Fotd Falcon actually put out up to 380 horsepower from its 351Cleveland engine certainly far more than the 300 horsepower as Ford advertised as this was the power output of the standard XY GT Ford Falcon and the reason was Ford Australia quoted this lower horsepower figure was for insurance purposes so its customers could get a far lower rate, this was done on purpose as the GT HO was a homologation model for racing at Bathurst and had to sell the required number to the public, the next model all Australian design Falcon, the XA in 1973 was the first model Falcon to have the fully Australian built Cleveland engines in 302 which is unique to Australia and of course the 351 V8’s and Ford Australia built the Cleveland engines right into the 1980’s long after the USA stopped building them and as a matter of fact the large majority of 351 Cleveland engines that power the De-Tomaso Panteras were powered by Australian built Clevelands which would mean that there probably are quite a few in the USA that have Australian built engines in them
