The final moments still really stick in my mind May look into some of these others!! Soulstice and Bramble look really good, just didn't really know what Soulstice was like.
@jurtheorc81172 ай бұрын
Big Soulstice fan here! Will start by saying it's got some rough points. Like pacing-- some find the beginning to drag on, others find the middle to drag on, and the sights are mainly Big Bridge - Dungeon - Ruined City (inside and outside - Waterways - Sewer. (The last third is more visually interesting. Lots of snow, ruined monastery and the enemy designs get more interesting). It's also not the easiest game in the genre to get into. There's quite a few mechanics to it and I know that some didn't have the interest or patience to want to engage with them. And some skills feel like they should have been unlockable earlier. *However*. The game still has a LOT to offer. In terms of world and characters, for example. The two sisters elevate one another in both gameplay and narrative, as the story said. There's a snarky overseer/merchant named Layton who has two optional conversations per level. Can give more insight on how the characters think, reactions on recent events, lore on the world, or general amusement. The inventory notes, weapons and character guides and bestiary are written from his perspective, too! You get to unlock seven total different weapons, most of the enemy roster is solid, and fighting does *sound* and *feel* good. All weapons share inputs: - Combo String - Combo String with pause after the second hit - Attack + Jump - Attack + Jump from the air - Double tap joystick forward + attack - Dodge + attack - Hold Button attack (sometimes) The big sword only has the Combo String, Pause Combo String, and Double Tap Forward/Dodge Attack, though. The inputs are easy to remember, but all weapons do have unique moveset animations and their own purposes. For example: The punch daggers are rapid, concentrated hits and as such aren't great for hitting folks around you, but can be good for staggering enemies with longer wind-up animations. If you *do* want to hit folks around you, the whip hits wide and multiple times, though not as hard as most other weapons. the warhammer and buckler gauntlet are strong against barriers (forcefields and shields) and armor, with the hammer especially strong against the barriers and the buckler gauntlet having a Hold Button variant for every combo hit, which gives extra reach and power. There's more to it that I won't get into here right now. I just hope that you'll find Soulstice interesting, and even more that you may find it fun when you play it despite the rough spots. Here's to hoping that Soulstice and Darksiders may get proper continuations and conclusions to their respective sagas. Thanks for reading through this, and have a good one.

REALLY? I never knew that Darksiders 2 was just AA game. I played that game multiple times when it was released. It was so good that it feels AAA. Just rolling for the best stats on items scratches that RPG itch plus the story is so good. How can this be just an AA game?

Only problem with Darksiders is the puzzle it took away your momentum. fighting enemies and bosses then you go back to your usual puzzle again.
