Many OP brocken hax attacks in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and i expect worse from Boruto lol, really weren't used to their full potential and here's 10 that i think fit that bill, the war arc honest anime descriptions is taking a while, so here's some naruto for the mean time XD

I messed up on the Kotoamatsukami that Danzo used it on the crappy ninja, he actually used it on Mifune, but that doesnt disprove anything ive said about it, in fact it makes it worse, lol 1. he couldve used it on Mifune the day before he was meeting up in a dangerous situation with old enemies 2. he still shouldve used it on Orochimaru or Pain during their respective invasions

Nux Taku I’ve actually been thinking about this topic and there’s so much more: Ningendo, a jutsu that extracts souls by touching, how is this guy the most useless Pain, the sharingan, Kakashi has copied over a thousand jutsus and he only has one eye and is not an uchiha, why does only kakashi use this gimik and why does he only use like 5 out of a thousand, universal pull, just hold up a kunai, use universal pull, dead, literally any fire style which in reality, the fire will not disappear and will continue to burn flesh until you die, kamui, you don’t even have to use the jutsu fully, use it on someone’s stomach, and dead, why the fuck didn’t obito just use this on everyone he looked at???

If you rethink back to when Naruto first ran into sasuke at orochimarus hideout when team 7 first got sai in it sasuke was fixing to use kirin on him then but orochimaru stopped him but that means sasuke had learned it within the time from of first leaving konoha going to orochimaru until then even though I understand what you mean about them not showing when he exactly learned it or created Kirin.

We do not technically know how Sasuke learned Kirin, but we know where. He learned it while training with Orochimaru. We know this, because when Naruto and Sasuke met the first time in the second season Sasuke just lifts his hand, just like he did with Itachi. But then Orochimaru showed up, put his hand down and told him not to use "that" jutsu.

sasuke didn't "learn" kirin. he created the technique himself. the reason its not used outside of the fight with itachi and vs naruto once. is because it requires storm conditions to be there. as he only "guides natural lightning" towards his target. so if there are no tunder clouds he has to make them with powerfull fire techniques wich takes to much time to setup.

The 8 gates thing I believe was explained that it took a considerable amount of training to unlock that but you also needed to be physically capable of withstanding it. I mean the 2 who have it did nothing but train there bodys to the maximum to hold that form for even seconds longer than previously used so if that's true there could be an argument why everyone didnt learn it. It was also supposed to be a forbidden jitsu (like the multi shadow clown which everyone used)

Outside of Naruto I'm very confident that nobody used the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu. What needs to be clarified is that "Multi" Shadow Clone Jutsu doesn't mean more than 1. It's natural for a person who knows Shadow Clone to summon one or two or three copies of themselves. MULTI Shadow Clone Jutsu implies a hundred or more at once, which we only see Naruto ever do.

Well the 8 inner gates was actually taught to guy by his father who was significantly weaker than guy and his 8 gates only amounted to taking down a few other ninja... I think it's safe to assume the power of the 8 gates depends on the base power of its user and not all are equal in strength... Lee's 8th gate probably can't even touch guy's In other words the jutsu itself isn't OP but it's meant to emphasize mastering oneself through hard work and sheer determination

I was very disappointed with Kakuzu's reanimation fight during the 4th ninja war. Like he was able to fight and survive against the first Hokage, have 5 lives, and can replenish those lives with hearts at any given time. There was this huge build up, "and that makes 5" he says as he inserted the last heart. Everyone looks worried, then we go to a couple filler episode's. When we come back he basically just gets stepped on and sealed up. I just think he could have been used more. He was probably the most Evil of the Akatsuki, using his own comrades as his hearts. And that raises another point, the Akatsuki are the best of the best on the bad side. So this man was able to fight and survive against one of the strongest kage to exist, kill fellow Akatsuki members, and Naruto had to use his strongest jitsu at the time to take him down. Just to get stepped on and defeated with the when he was reincarnated.

Power scaling. It's a thing in most shounen anime. Usually, it's not a problem: the protagonist evolves and gets better, so what would've been a challenge in the past is now something fully achievable, a menial chore even. However, it is a problem when elements from past plot points are reused. This way, they get to look ineffective, or even working contrary to what it's aiming to do. Take Kimimaro as an example. When he was first introduced, he was this crazy, hyped fighter that was very strong, to the point where Naruto and Rock Lee weren't enough to defeat him; however, in the 4th war, his job is to....take on some samurai....

his power was based on the hearts he had..originally when he was alive he had hearts of the very strong elemental users pulling massive scale elemental techniques .in war he just absorbed 5 normal shinobi hearts that did normal tehcs so he released them as puppets to go crazy. yeah if he could absorb kurotsuchi's father heart he could have leveled that battlefield with just earth element or getting black thunder would have made him OP but at that time he didnt have the strength nor the prep time

The problem with Kirin is that it take a lot of set up to use it, he used his fire style against Itachi to heat up the water in the air to make storm clouds for natural lightning. On the plus side it takes next to no chakra as it uses the already present natural lightning.

1. Kirin is natural lightning being controlled by Sasuke. There weren't any other moments in the series that he tactfully used fire style jutsu towards the sky to allow him to properly create Kirin. 2. The Inner Gates is overly taxing on the body. Most ninja use their "ethereal" strength with jutsu while the Inner Gates is physical. Both Guy and Lee went OD with physical training because they could do nothing else. In essence, it wouldn't be worth it for other ninja in the long run. Kakashi states this in the Chunin Arc. 3. You're a funny guy. I liked the vid. Keep on keeping on.

He didn’t need to throw fire to the sky, he only did it once to create an artificial thunderstorm that he could use to harness lightning. He could’ve used it anytime, anywhere at almost no chakra cost considering how low it was before he used it. It’s basically a very effective, spammable, one hit kill unless the opponent has a good defense like the susanoo (which still requires lots of chakra so Kirin would win eventually)

Your wrong about the 8gates argument. Kakashi, tsnusde, and most really strong ninja's strongest jutsu require them to open the gates temporarily. What made them different from guy, and Lee, was they trained solely to master and fight in that for for extended periods of time, with tiajutsu trained to perfection. P.S. don't discount Might Guy as a weak or bad ninja, despite hardly ever using it, he was capable of using ninjutsu, and summoning jutsu. He developed a fighting style to counter sharingon users, by reading their movements solely based on their feet, to avoid eye contact. Itachi himself warned the akastki to never fight guy 1on1

The 8 gates destroy your bodies when using them and it's insanely difficult to learn. Gai and Lee are considered rare for being able to open more than one gate. It's also a forbidden jutsu that not everyone knows about to learn. The people who would know about it wouldn't risk hurting their bodies for a temporary powerup when they can just learn more powerful jutsu's to compliment their style with less risk.

Except it doesn't compliment any style. It's strictly a taijutsu technique. That's why you never see Kakashi use the gates despite being able to confirm open the first. The 8 gates isn't simply hard, it's almost impossible for people to learn. That's why only Lee and Gai use the gates in the series, at least past the first gate. You can't just 'practice it and learn it' it's something you have to devote your whole being into. Techniques are hard to learn in the Naruto universe but this isn't a technique of the same caliber. It's more similar to Naruto adding wind transformation to the rasengan. It takes more than practice to do it. There's no trick in doing it. Naruto was just able to naturally do it and his son even more so doing it by accident. Kakashi and Minato both failed at adding their chakra types to the move despite being a lot more adept at using it than Naruto could at the time (this was back when Naruto still needed a clone to do the rasengan!). The 8 gates are the same way, you either can figure it out naturally or you can't.

+alexander chen No, sage art is only a prefix given to jutsu that rely on nature chakra/sage mode. Kirin uses natural lightning, rather than Sasuke's own chakra, but so does something like a dirt wall or Kakashi's water dragon. Just with dirt and water instead of lightning.

Ametarasu was probably really hard to control. In Itachi's case every use caused a lot of pain, and it was like that for Sasuke too before EMS. That's why Kagasutchi or however it's spelled was a big deal and power on it's own. Once Sasuke got EMS though every enemy was incredibly fast. As for Kirin, it was clearly designed as the move to kill Itachi. It's trick was to use Itachi's fire jutsu as its setup, so Sasuke only had to use shape manipulation but no nature transformation for it. Very few characters use fire style as much as Itachi, so Sasuke couldn't use it on them, because to set up Kirin he would have to do the setup all on his own, using unnecessary chakra.

Kirin was a bit too powerful given how early in shippuden it was shown. That's most likely why Kishi made it a jutsu that utilizes real lightning. So Sasuke couldn't just abuse it non-stop.

But Sasuke's the one who conjured up the storm in the first place. All he had to do was shoot like 3 fireballs into the air and it started raining. What's stopping him from just starting every fight by doing that? If it had been set up that he could only use it when it just so happens to rain that would be one thing, but if the character can directly manipulate the weather than it ceases to be a limitation. It's actually double bad writing because Kishi came up with an OP attack and the only weakness he could think of was something the character already had a solution for.

It's actually just one of the many uses of the Body Flicker technique. It works by quickly chopping off a nearby piece of wood and switching places with it before the incoming attack. Body Flicker is mostly used to increase travel speed, though. So you wouldn't exactly have the best maneuverability due to the technique's limitations. The Raikage used body flicker on top of Lightning Cloak, which justified his ridiculous speed. Lightning Claok amped up his base speed by A LOT and Body Flicker took that already fast base speed to ridiculous levels. Naruto was even faster thanks to his Kurama Chakra Mode (which we know that even the basic Ninetails Chakra Cloak makes the slowest fucking ninja move above the speed of sound) and not thanks to simple-ass useless Body Flicker. Minato EASILY outsped Ay with his Flying Raijin, and that alone proves that Flying Raijin's instantenous teleportation is faster than pretty much the highest level of speed anyone can possess... I also like to restate MDoorpsy's comment and say that Substitution Jutsu wouldn't _work_ against anyone with a Byakugan, Sharingan or any other Dojutsu that can see and distinguish chakra, since Substitution Jutsu relies HEAVILY on your opponent having no idea ''_what the fuck just happened?_'' That's about it. It doesn't work against anyone on the same level of speed that is paying close attention to your movements because one of the fundamentals of the Substitution Technique is being FASTER than your opponent with Body Flicker (which is a technique that temporarily increases movement speed in exchange for power, maneuverability, etcetera.)

Wasn't Kirin supposed to require, like, a shit ton of prep to use or something? Like, I'm pretty sure in the Itachi fight he had to like, shoot a shit ton of fireballs into the air throughout the whole fight to create thunderheads or something, which he used to make Kirin. It's just not practical to use in most fights. Plus, Sasuke learned Susano'o soon after that fight, which is just as good as Kirin but is more versatile and can be done almost instantly, so really there was never any need for it after that.

Also note how it hit Naruto directly and didn't actually seem to do any damage, and just stuns Naruto for a second, meaning that they were waaaay past the point where it would be of any real use. If you notice, Sasuke was about to cast Kirin on naruto,Sakura,Sai,Yamato when they first found him . But orochimaru stopped him . Long story short . Kirin uses a shit ton of chakra to create your own lightning , or you can control the lightning from your surrounding . It is versatile. About the 8 gates: Gai's father (spoiler alert in case you don't know what he did) opened all 8 gates to save Gai and his team who were attacked by the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist. He was a pretty weak shinobi overall, but after opening the 8th gate, he killed 4 of the 7 *alone* . So it definitely did something. Like... Something pretty damn significant as well.

You have to specialize in taijutsu so much you're likely to cripple your other abilities, and train insanely hard for years on years just to get this technique to a respectable level. Remember it took Gai's father 20 years to master the technique and because of that specialized training be was unable to graduate past genin for his whole life.

The moment pain brought the entire of konoha back from the dead. That was the moment I gave up. Naruto choosing a path higher than revenge, was noble. Doesn't matter though when you just pop a magic spell down that undoes death. Undermimes the whole point in a decision to not kill the murderer of your village. Also the show became less about strategy and desperate struggles, and started to be about just the big booms and the power levels. The whole show I could easily tell when someone had the upperhand or was about to lose. After this naruto could just pull power out of his asshole. Yes he made friends with nine tails but this is also an issue because the tension is just fucked afterwards when your main guy rarely seems at risk. Pain was the perfect villain because he was motivated by something real and his powers were based on rules. I still remember Sasori Vs Sakura, this was a fight that had stakes. Sakura felt strong but not invincible, she is injured and by the end of the saga she can barely walk. This wasnt an easy fight, it was a desperate struggle to survive and enemy that is being reality, something insane. I just remembered thinking, the akatsuki guys... Fights with them get really close. The threat was immediately massive. But nope... Now Naruto can summon spirit bombs and the akatsuki are now basically against the next strongest evers... So disappointed. The peaked at pain and dived the moment he died... Imo ofclol

Because it shows us that even though Danzo claims to be a good guy that cares for the village and even believes that he is, he's a tragic villain. And in the end, he becomes the biggest threat of the village he cherised and was desperate to protect
