I’ve made lots of die cuts/ephemera out of junk mail, and old catalogs that I no longer use. But first, before die cutting, I adhere a piece of card stock on the back so that my die cut has some weight to it and can be adhered, or even raised up on my card. I do the same with sayings from catalogs, books, magazines, etc. 💕🌸💕

Wow! I love all of these tips. I use my little 1/2 “ strips” for sentiment and also glue together to form layers for height, replacing for when I run out of dimensionals. I also love #10. 🏃 to go find it to print it off. Thanks Connie. 👋

Great tips I downloaded the cutting chart and laminated both sheets back to back making sure of the orientation so when you flip it you can read it in the right direction

Love these tips. Before I got my silicone mat, I used junk mail catalogs to catch any over glue. Once you use a page, fold it to next, toss out when used up.

Great ideas. I am curious how you organize your cardstock scraps. I like to keep the scraps with the whole sheets (so I know what color the scraps are)but it can get messy. Any tips for organizing scraps?

These are fantastic tips. You gave me a great idea. Becasue are copiers break down all the time paper gets wasted. I am going to scoop them up and use them. Great tips. I always use copy paper to make sure sizes are correct especially on new fancy folds. On #7, you could fussy cut some of the leaves ❤️

Great tips! That Paper Cutting Guide is absolutely an invaluable must have!! Thank you for creating & sharing that, Connie! 🤗 I'm not sure if you said so, but I do believe you used the Basic White Thick cardstock when you mentioned that you can't see dark ink images through the other side. In my honest opinion, I have found that you definitely CAN see black (and other dark colors) through the regular Basic White cardstock. So I definitely use the BW Thick when using dark inks. I use white a lot, but I had some Very Vanilla from YEARS ago (before they introduced both the Thick & Regular versions) and it IS thicker then the Basic Very Vanilla that is offered today. That being said, I still feel nothing rivals the quality of Stampin' Up papers. I will always use it for my paper crafting!! ❤

I bought a bunch of “ticket holders”, some from Office Max, some from Amazon and some from Dollar Tree and I keep my card stock, including all my scraps in there. When I’m doing die cuts I always check to see if I have a scrap that will work.
