Once I'm out of debt and have a bit of money to spare, I'm definitely getting getting this little beast. As for a more 'East Coast sound', i was thinking Moog Mother 32, or Pittsburgh Lifeforms SV1 . The filters are phenomenal on the Pittsburgh, but the sync sounded kinda crap. Despite this it's a good little deskstop semi-modular though. This has the edge on them all in the end imo I love those percussive patches that blur the line between bass and drums. Nice work with these patches. There's some really meaty full textures at work here. Loving these on headphones, properly rattling my skull. Good stuff.

Very nice. The 0-Coast is my modular ( semi-modular ) gateway drug, and I'm so happy with how flexible and unique sounding it is. These are great patches. I'm curious how you have MidiB setup since you have a few patches that use the additional CV and Gate outputs.

Thank you Oliver, it was the default setting i guess, in both patches i just used the gate output from MidiB wich mirrored the gate out of A basically just like a multiple.

Thought I'd revisit this... I ended up getting the Microvolt 3900 first. Awesome machine... Then 4 months later a pre-owned 0-Coast came up on eBay and I bid and got it cheap. So now I have both and they are great... I love the sounds you got at 2:07, absolutely gorgeous with that delay. Is the little 'slip' (portamento) being done by the sequencer?

If I use Midi in so as to control 0-corst and sink with DAW , I loose chaotic generated pattern of 0-coast? Then, If I use chaotic generated pattern, how do I sink tempo with DAW? I only use sequencer of Logic, so could you tell me some advice.

It has a knob that sets the decay curve from logarithmic through linear to exponential, and an attack (onset) knob that is very well calibrated for setting the volume curve in the first few fractions of a second. This makes it absolutely perfect for percussive sounds. It also has a sustain knob that enables it to do nice pads, and the attack (onset) knob also behaves well for pads past 12'o clock. However it's a monophonic synth, and we often expect pads to be polyphonic. I agree to that it can sound pretty FM like sometimes, you can actually do FM with it if you hit "cycle" on the slope generator, speed it up to audio rate, and patch the slope in the V/oct or LIN FM input.

It is achieved by sequencing, no automation, no FX. Just some very fast downward minor 7th scales transposed by certain intervals.

So i have a noob question , at 4:14 on Patch 7 of the video, I'm wondering Let's say i have a rhythm like the one in the video, which sounds like its looping.... is there a way to switch the pattern, Like go to another pattern that has either note changes or rhythm changes...Would i do this via midi sending a signal from my host (ableton) What would be the easiest way to switch patterns? because i'm really interested in these types of rhythms you're creating but i want to be able to progress through patterns, such a noob question because obviously i would do this easily in ableton without the 0-Cast but i know nothing about modules and i'm extremely interested in making my music more technical with modular help.

You'd change pattern by triggering another clip in Ableton Live. It could be like pressing a key on the keyboard, or pushing a button on a MIDI device. This has nothing to do with the sound engine, such as the 0-Coast.
