Craig Dillon man I actually forgot about Former Chicago Bull Bob Love. Artis Gilmore was great too. Isn’t he the starting center on the All Time Bulls Team on 2K18? Rose. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Gilmore, right? Anyways I think a lot of people talk about Havlicek. John won 8 championships and was still amazing after Bill Russell retired. I will admit not a lot of people talk about Bob Cousy. He was one of the first or the first person to be considered an elite Ball Handler and Elite Passer. Nobody said that when he was playing but I mean in today’s basketball terms he was one of the very first. Thanks for letting me remember greats. I don’t know a whole lot about Dave DeBusschere but I do know he was a wing if I am correct and that he was a part of the Knicks. I have seen stat lines when I was researching trying to make an actual All Time Time for the Knicks and I found his stats on Basketball Reference. I don’t remember the exact stat line but it was something like 22 PPG - 7 RPG and I immediately put him on the team. I did forget about Melo and then he went to the Bench but whatever. James Worthy and Elgin Baylor are on my Lakers bench and they are great so. Thanks Craig

I agree but I will play along. He may not have included Bird because the year prior the Celtics had McAdoo for part of the season. I think that if McAdoo would have stayed, and then had Bird, then it will look like Bird was the missing link because it was almost the same team the year prior. However, because McAdoo left, the argument could be that McAdoo would have turned the team around without Bird if he was given a full year in Boston. Other than that, I don’t know.

Wes took a Baltimore Bullets team with lots of perimeter talent, but little team chemistry and took them to the top of the division. He was voted the MVP as a rookie.

Kevin Johnson is more deserving of a spot on this list than Barkley or Chris Paul. KJ had already led the 1989 and 1990 Suns to consecutive WCFs and the 1992 Suns to the 2nd round the year before Barkley was on the team. Along with Jason Kidd and Steve Nash, who were included in this video, Kevin Johnson and those other PGs did a much better job than Chris Paul in instantly turning a team around. Kevin Johnson, Jason Kidd, and Steve Nash all joined teams that had under 30 wins (1988 Suns, 2001 Nets, 2004 Suns) prior to their first year starting with their new teams. All of them immediately took sub-30 win teams to consecutive Conference Finals, or NBA Finals in Kidd's case. KJ did it despite the 1990 Suns being 0-2 in playoff games in which KJ was injured (Game 1 vs Jazz, Game 6 vs Blazers). Unlike Blake and Deandre playing great without Chris Paul against the 2015 Rockets, KJ's best teammates in Eddie Johnson and Tom Chambers played horribly in KJ's absence without his playmaking to set them up. Game 1 vs 1990 Jazz, Game 6 vs 1990 Blazers with KJ injured Tom Chambers - 18 ppg on 10/32 FG (31%), 4.5 TOpg Eddie Johnson - 8 ppg on 4/15 FG (27%) Nash did it despite Joe Johnson missing 3 of 5 games in the the 2005 WCSF and 2 of 5 games in the 2005 WCF due to a broken orbital bone and his best teammate Amare Stoudemire missing the entire 2006 Playoffs, on top of Raja bell being suspended for an elimination game against LA and missing 2 of 6 games in the 2006 WCF. Nash and KJ both averaged 20-10 twice apiece in their 2 Conference Finals runs even with injury issues, joining Magic Johnson (x3) as the only players to average 20-10 for 3+ rounds 2 or more times. The only teams to immediately go from sub-30 wins to at least 2 consecutive Conference Finals are - Kareem's Bucks (1970, 1971, 1972) - 3 round format - Bird's Celtics (1980, 1981, 1982) - 3 round format - KJ's Suns (1989, 1990) - Kidd's Nets (2002, 2003) - Nash's Suns (2005, 2006) Kidd's Nets are the only team to immediately go from sub-30 wins to 2 consecutive NBA Finals.

STEVE NASH IS THE GREATEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO SUNS, ALSO HIS IMPACT NOT ONLY IN THE NBA BUT ON BASKETBALL IN A GLOBAL SCALE WAS AMAZING, I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS STILL IN HIGHSCHOOL EVERY PICK UP GAME YOU START TO SEE TEAM PLAY AND A LOT OF PASSES AND RUNNING WHICH WAS NEVER THE CASE BEFORE 2004 Because IT WAS DOMINATED BY LAKERS SHAQ AND KOBE, ALWAYS ISO BALL, POWERING YOURSELF INTO THE BASKET AND PULL UP JUMPERS, BUT WHEN NASH STARTED TO PLAY FOR PHX AGAIN, NOT ONLY DID HE HIGHLIGHT THE ESSENCE OF TEAM SPORT BUT THEY MADE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES AS "THE MOST EXCITING TEAM IN THE NBA" and "THE RUN N' GUN PHX SUNS" (amazing passes, pick n rolls, fast breaks, 7 seconds or less offense). People say today that nash didnt deserve those mvps, but ive watched and witnessed his mvp careers,and i remembered that only shaq was the only one who stated that nash didnt deserve one of those mvps of nash, thats because he came in as a runner up and he was upset, but if youre really a fan of nba you know nash deserved it and a lot of media and players thinks so too at that time, those people who are saying that nash robbed kobe and shaq of those mvps, didnt even watched the game during those years, they just based their opinions from looking in the stats in wikipedia and a lot of youtube highlight videos. But MVP means most valuable player to the team, you can be the most valuable without putting stats like kobe and shaq, How nash turned the suns season around when he came back proves his value to the team.

Became smarter, and learned to use his teammates, but he was great right away. When Austin was talking about the NCAA Championship Game (Magic vs Bird Vol.1) I thought #5 was gonna be Bird but then I saw Chris Paul and thought he was gonna be 3rd or 2nd or something like that and than I also expected Tim Duncan but we all make mistakes and we all forget greats. Especially when the NBA has been around for 70+ Years! That’s a lot of teams to choose from. That’s like 50+ Seasons for most teams on this list. Great Video. Really enjoyed. Glen "Big Baby" Davis. His rookie year, the Celtics went from a 24 win lottery team to a 66 win NBA championship squad. That's a 42 win improvement. I'm sure that's not a coincidence.

Oddly enough Marbury was ahead of his time. He would flourish in today's game but back then he was too ball dominant.

Orange Man Yeah but the thing was it was during Marbury’s prime not his twilight years unlike A.I. He should’ve stayed with the wolves as he isn’t a 1st option.

Larry Bird should’ve been #1... and he’s not even on your list! Celtics were 29-53 in 1979, 2nd worst record in the league, declining as a franchise, making bad decisions all-around... Then, WITH THE SAME CORE ROSTER - with no McHale or Parish for that matter, if you want to talk about it - and a rookie Larry Bird, they improve to 61-21 (the best record in the league!), and make the Conference Finals. Furthermore, just in his 2nd season he led them to a Championship. That stands above any player on your list. Plus, Tim Duncan should’ve been top 5... and he’s not there also.
@krazie8356 жыл бұрын
You should have gone even further with Jason Kidd, since he did return to the Mavericks and he won a Title there, and not to mention he even went to the Knicks where they did become a playoff team again, but he was a shell of himself by that point.

Elgin Baylor also has the distinction of retiring from a Lakers team that in the same season then without him ripped off 33 wins in a row, won a franchise season-record 69 games, and won the NBA championship for the first time since George Mikan. So, kinda went both ways for him. And then he went on to GM the Clippers, but that is a tragedy for another day.
