​@@sherifelserty9549Creed gets a lot of hate and people who wont differentiate between the scent itself and the pricing as a seperate issue. A lot of mancera fragrances are very synthetic. So are montales. I guess that is the reason for the hate but also the saving grace. Here is why I think so: I go noseblind to modern Creed reformulations a lot faster than to old batches. I think the reason is at least partially the substitution of natural ingrediends with new and often synthetic replacements.

Tuscan Leather by TF. I understand it smells like the interior of a Porsche in 2006 with the windows down in 90 degree weather, but I don't think people are supposed to smell like that lol. It was not worth. Much regret.

I'm not a fan either. I blind bought it and haven't worn it in public Single time lol. I might try it during the holidays this year during some really cold weather. The opening is terrible to me. Just so much nutmeg and it's so overpowering. As it drys down it does get better though.

Body chemistry is very interesting there are some people they say 10% of the population who cilantro tastes like soap too. And I can see the same thing happening with certain fragrances. Chemistry is a cruel mistress! Lol

As a kid growing up with actual soap in the mouth, I can't agree with peoples cilantro comparison. But I definitely am one of then 10% who gets a weird, horrible taste from cilantro. And I totally agree on the scent / chemistry comment. Soooo subjective and so very personal

The one scent that I totally hate after purchasing it full retail years ago is Gucci Pure Homme II. I had a sample from one of the little paper inserts that you open and sniff, and loved it at first sniff. Once I got the full presentation, I hated it after the first couple of times wearing it. To add insult to injury, a guy on my job starting wearing the heck out of the stuff, I hated to see the dude coming. I think I actually trashed the bottle. I see an ad attempting to sale a bottle on eBay for 750.00. WHAT!! you could not give me that cat puke. Thanks for the time that you spend making these videos. By the way, picked up the Ferragamo Spicy Leather, definitely will be rocking this one, very nice.

Mannnnnnn I’m not trying to waste a single dime. If I can smell it for free (in the mall) I do. I’ll visit the mall 3 to 4 times to do a skin test, and that’s before I even buy a decant. I buy a full size only AFTER I’ve emptied a 5mL to make sure I really LOVE it. I know me. I’ll find something better in 6months and stop wearing my new $170 bottle. I seriously stick to decants looking for something that I just can’t go without…. A MUST HAVE, and even then I’m still slower to pull the trigger. So far I’ve only found 2 fragrances I’d pay full retail for, but they exceed my cost per bottle limit. of $201 so for those 2 I’ve opted for the clones.

Halloween man X .. Is about the last frag I’d expect to see on this list . Bleu de Chanel … bicycle, stripey, whaaat ? You could have some crazy association with practically anything. Which is nothing to do with the actual scent itself. Curious. Cheers Ash - love the decor by the way .. very swish . Sometimes entering stage left .. sometimes right. Sometimes rising up from behind the counter. Have you thought about just dropping in from above …. I bought 200ml of light blue eau intense as it was on offer for a great price. The first time I used it I had a blinding headache, however I persivered, and having toned down the sprays, I now love the stuff. I can understand that it's not for everyone though.

I’ve smelled Dior Sauvage Elixir about 4 separate times since I’ve identified what it smelled like a couple months ago. lol Which is more than other fragrances, but still not an astronomical amount.. Not a lot of people wear perfume or cologne it seems. Some seem like they bathed in them, others you only get a small subtle scent of it in the breeze when they walk away. That’s usually when it’s at its best imo, two feet of projection is all you ever need. The freshies are great for that.

Hey Ash, based on my experience it seems as if the rotten eggs smell in some aquatic fragrances has to do with how they are stored. I tested Bvlgari Aqva Atlantique in a store and loved it, bought it and upon my first wear that rotten egg smell popped up. I realize that in the store the temperature is much cooler than my home. Same thing happened with Bentley Momentom Unlimited, however when the temperatures got cooler the rotten egg smell was gone from it. Maybe this is a phenomenon a fragrance connoisseur like yourself can shed some light on for us. I love aquatics but out of fear that they get that rotten egg smell I avoid them & stick to citruses for warm days.

I got a bad reaction for Bad Boy Cobalt. It was way too strong for work. lol Some lady was coughing and gagging, it was crazy. A lot of the time it’s just the wrong time and place for that particular fragrance. Some are terrible for summer for instance. The most annoying is when someone is all allergic to colognes/perfumes and you’ve gotta wash it off or stay away from them. Seems to be quite frequent for older people.

I've not got round to smelling enough to identify this but here in Germany there is a note I smell ALL THE TIME. If someone is on the back of the bus, you can smell it as soon as you get on. A waiter wore it in a restaurant and the moment you step in to the building, you can smell it. In large groups of people like the many festivals we have here, you can smell it from a mile off. Its like a sort of vinegary woody smell. I don't know if it is one fragrance in particular or if it is just a popular note.

Oud for Glory was shockingly bad for me when I got it after hearing all of the hype. I wear it sometimes before bed but never in public. I'm trying to learn to appreciate some of the things that I'm not use to. When you got to D&G Light Blue, I've never worn this particular fragrance but most aquatics give me the funky egg smell. The worst was Missoni Wave, straight rotten eggs. Some fragrances give me that egg smell but it fades after the drydown (Fakhar, Hawas, Tre Nuit Lyric, Hyati, 9 a.m. Dive). It doesn't go away with Nautica Voyage or Eternity Aqua. I don't get any funky egg smell with Armaf Sillage or Azzaro Chrome and I think both have sea notes. I also don't think I'm a fan of rose fragrances. I have a clone of Oud Satin Mood and that smells like vanilla rose and reminds me of old lady. One more that stinks is Midnight Oud which is a clone of Amouge Interlude. I mostly smell the pimento I think it's weird and nasty.

BR 540 smells ok, my main issue is the cost. It kind of smells like being in the department store fragrance section, almost like that random collection of scents put together... smells fine enough but not worth hundreds of dollars at retail.

Things I noticed in regards to preference. There is appeal to enthusiasts, connisseurs, and those in know and there is appeal to the ignorant masses. There is a big divide there. Once it goes from air to body chemistry there is another great divide. Then it becomes YMMV. Are there any that are truly despised in general by all? Yes. The ones that are in the clearance bin give away status and in the garbage. Everything else is subjective, eye of the beholder, and POV.

Baccarat 540, I've tried the original and at least 4 clones and for me - for every one, even a home diffuser scent, my nose goes blind to it in LITERALLY 3 seconds. Re-spraying does nothing cause my nose doesn't know how to "nose" with Baccarat after the first 3 seconds. Also Sauvage Elxir reminds me of my father's signature Calvin Klein Obsession. It gives me that same "wealthy man" vibes that loves to choke you with his scent. Who ever dislike Bleu de Chanel it must of been the EDT, cause the EDP or better the Parfum are a no brainer any time anywhere easy reach for me. EDT smells like someone is smoking next to me so my 5oz bottle of it is still full.

I just finally got a chance to smell Bleu de Chanel a few days ago at Sephora and was disappointed. Going to give it another chance tho as I had already tried about 5 different testers before I sw the bottle of Chanel. They need a bowl of coffee beans in there to smell in between fragrances.

If I had to pick one .. and , bearing in mind - they are all someone’s favourite. But it’d have to be Le Male . I’d have to hide the bottle behind another too. The elixir Le male sounds nice , and the presentation is better. Yes - I’ve just realised I’m a fragrance snob 🤔🫣🫢 but I do like cheapies , and own blue stratos ( vintage of course ) , Brut, Mandate , even some Calvin Kleins, and Paul Smith extreme Which I hide. I don't know, maybe I'm just dating myself but I still like the old style scents like Paul Sabastian Fine, Giorgio for men Giorgio Beverly Hills, Yardley Gentleman Classic and I get complemented on these every time I go out wearing any of them. The other modern stuff not so much. However Milestone Red Cherry and Terre Bella Roza by Gapardis gets a lot of complements as well. And yes I know that Bella Roza is a women's rose fragrance but I like it. My wife and I just don't seem to like the more modern smelling scents. But for those that like them, Rock On. By the way I truly enjoy this channel, lots of fun.

I am glad I got a full refund of Perfumes de Marley Carlisle… I asked 4 people at work which is at a gym how does this smell and I walked past them and they all said it’s OK it’s not worth $400(6 digit batch). And my family told me I have a better Fragrances than that one. That fragrance was by far the most hyped top 5 fragrance I’ve seen on KZbin.

I like the smell of Sauvage elixir I got a bottle last Christmas but I thinks way to strong for me it just gets annoying after a while it’s just screaming the entire time you wear it and it doesn’t go away.

I almost did a blind buy on one of Ash's favorites: Nishane Sultan Vetiver. Tried it in the store and immediately wanted to wash it off. All I could think was "this terrible smell is on my body!".

I’ve sampled Dior Sauvage Elixir and JPG Le Male Elixir and I’m not a fan of either of them, but I loved 1 Million Elixir when I sampled that and bought that one. Always sample first, don’t always follow the hype.

I thought oud for greatness, was OK not that great, not much oud, and for the price and hype , I've smelled it before for less, same goes for Carlisle which wasn't mentioned.

I would say Ormond Jayne Man disappointed me the most of any of my recent blind buys. I mean I get it, it has a great piney and unique classically masculine note, but it does seem overly synthetic to me. Now this is only after one spray. I am going to give it a second change of course.

The egg smell complain ought to go also to Versace pour Homme. In that case I don't smell actual rotten eggs, just eggs. As if you had broken some eggs to fry them, and your fingers catch some of the white, and you can smell that later on in your hands. Like that. So not rotten, but very offputting anyway.
