What would I bring back? Real musical talent. There's precious little of it now.

There's a ton of it out there but you have to search for it now. It's not the norm anymore, but trust me it's there. I used to say the same thing and don't anymore because of what and whom I have found.

@@jonnuanez7183 No, very, VERY little. I have looked for good current stuff, but its not worth it. Life is too short to wade through oceans of dreck to get to tasty crumbs. Same goes for visuals, like TV. The problem isn't that good doesn't exist at all, the problem is it may as well not be for as scarce and difficult it is to find.

I was a child in the 70's and had an absolute blast during that decade! The one thing, all be it a show, would be to bring back Wolfman Jack and The Midnight Special tv music show, it was awesome seeing all the bands and comedians of the day on there. Love these videos Jamal!!!

I was born in 1963 and graduated in 1981. If you didn’t have a Schwinn bicycle you probably had a huffy which was a cheap Sears model We had dial phones and remembered numbers by heart. We wore big bell bottoms and tucked them in our socks so they wouldn’t get caught in the chain. My little league manager would give us all a ride home from practice in the back of his pickup. We drank out of the hose. Listened to Cheech & Chong albums😂

What’s really funny is that I was born in 73, and from the time I can remember, everything you just said was still going on in my life, and that would’ve been 1978 / onward, I absolutely adore those memories, from drinking out of the hose, not being allowed in the house until it got dark , we lived on a big, big farm, when I got older, I absolutely had everyone’s number memorized, I still remember the phone number from when I was 9,and oh my goodness, the fashion, my favorite shoes were the ugliest, cowboy boots ever, but darn it I loved them💯😂, wherever you are right now, happy new year🎉✌🏻💕

I had a 1979 Pontiac White Firebird. It had red vinyl seats that were really well made. It didn’t have the big bird on the hood , but nice pinstripes. I traded it in for another car and within a couple of days, regretted it. I really miss those days and now I’ll be 66 next month and I get really sentimental about how great my life was. Plain and simple and most of all happy.

Other things from the '70s I miss: Customized vans with wizards and dragons painted on the outside (and shag carpet on the inside!). Beanbag chairs -- although at my age, if I sat in one now, I probably wouldn't be able to get back up! (see also: water beds) Cartoons on Saturday mornings -- between breakfast time and lunch time, that TV was OURS!

Bing back the Farrah hair. Loved that '70s look. They left out the Angel Food Cake cutter/ afro-comb version of the comb in the pocket. Definitely had the "Stingray" bike. We modded them into what became the BMX style.

I’d want to bring back Classic Rock, with new bands and new songs that have that 70’s feel. Maybe rock will come back around, or something similar but innovative. Also bring back food quality, remember how most people were slim in the 70’s? Look at a 70’s beach photo, much different than today. It’s all about the money, so much crap in the food supply since then, preservatives, chemicals, etc.
@LaptopLarry330
@LaptopLarry330 8 ай бұрын
People were slim because there was a depression taking place in the 1970s. Fuel prices were very high, interest rates were 20 percent to borrow money to buy a home. Factories were closing up left and right. The 1970s were a lot like what we are going through today.

I remember a lot of these items. I was 10 in 1974 and I remember my cousin had a super 8 movie camera. I also had a Charlie’s angels poster, and a Farrah Fawcett t shirt as well as a Jimmy Walker “Dy no mite” tee and mork and mindy suspenders. Also had an Evil Knievel figure and car, Talking G.I. Joe and a Six Million Dollar man figure. I had wacky package stickers all over my school notebooks . I miss those days .

I watched the entire Six Million Dollar Man on dvd last year. Much better than I expected. A rare show whose best season was its last, which made me wonder why it ended. I guess the main actor wanted to move on? I have not watched those other shows. But I am watching Barnaby Jones, a surprisingly well done PI show. I really wanted to watch Ellery Queen but that's an expensive show to find.

You nailed it Jamel. Born in 1971 in the UK but so many things carry over. We fully adopted metric the year i was born, but we use a mix of both metric and imperial here. Still M.P.H . I remember my sis and i had Muppet show tee's. I had a Raleigh Chopper with a car battery and C.B radio strapped to the rear rack.I loved muscle cars and rods so much, when i passed my driving test a decade later i bought a Vauxhall Firenza, which was a Brit version of a muscle car.

In elementary school in the 1970s in Math class, we were taught both the US/British standards of measurement, and the Metric standards of measurement. From my own experience, it was more important to know the Metric system in order to know what tools and parts a person needed to repair his/her imported car. Today, American-assembled cars, trucks, and SUVs are all made with foreign-made parts. If you want to one and operate one, knowing the Metric system is an absolute must.

Tab is actually diet Coke - in that it was the Coke recipe with the sugar substituted with a sugar substitute. official Diet Coke (1982) came out, it was the first diet soda recipe built from scratch. so when coke was losing market share to pepsi, it decided to reverse the process (change fake sugar for real) and that's how they got New Coke.

I also used to have one of those super combs both the long and short versions of it and it was useful when you went to the video arcades to play the track & field game where you had to slam the buttons in alternating hits to simulate you running on the track, but the easier trick was to put the comb between your finger so each end of the comb would hit the buttons so you could run faster in the game.

Bubble gum with a tiny little comic strip inside the wrapper, I think it was Double Bubble or something like that. Also, there was a pecullar fixation in tbe early mid 70s for a thing called 'streaking' which must have carried over from the 60s counterculture. It was when a brave or crazed person would shock people with a sudden naked sprint through any public place, down a busy sidewalk, a shopping plaza, through a park, whatever. It must have been happening often enough that there was a houshold name for it. We called tbem 'Streakers' and it wasn't seen as dangerous or threatening, i don't remember any conservative outcry over it,: just mischief makers being silly, annoying cops and churchgoers...

What would I bring back? Nothing. That was then; this is now. And I'm living now. We don't always have to "like" everything, something us older kids complain about the younger generation but then do it ourselves (because it's different when we do it). I guess record stores would be what I would bring back. In order for that, though, you'd have to change how the present day music industry is run and that certainly is not going to happen.

I would bring back the fine cars and the badass music...not dumb Donnie n Marie or bubble gum. The real brassy music of Earth Wind & Fire. All music from the Bay Area YESS!. Most of all I wod bring back my loved ones who were all alive then still. I remember the hellified parties with vats of food and jamming the tunes with live music in my Parents' living room. Life was good. Cars, petrol and cigarettes were cheap then. So was the weed. Two joi ts for a buck. Pease love n happiness, my Brother. Blessings light and love 🙏🏿🌟💜

In my opinion you didn’t miss a thing by missing Tab. Of course I was a skinny little thing at that time so diet drinks didn’t mean a thing to me!

And I had a banana seat bike and it had a shifter knob like a car, 5 gears maybe and a speedometer? I think it was a 70s bike and I was maybe 7 or 8, it was a Schwinn stingray and these days they're expensive

Jamal I have a strange question have you changed your channel? Do you still do reactions to music? I haven't seen any of your videos for a while. Thanks to KZbin… I actually had to search for your channel and then I started seeing you were showing and commenting on videos…… Did you stop doing music reactions?
