My prediction in 2025 is that card manufacturers will continue to print cards to the moon, not thinking about the long term health of the hobby, just concerned about their own profit and taking advantage of people who are addicted to opening wax.

Cards aren’t meant to be investments, they’re meant to be trading cards. Manufactures are supposed to print enough cards for everyone in the world to have…. not worrying if Joe and dale can make a return on there investment of baseball cards.

@@franciscopagan5820 they aren’t supposed to be worth more you duck, they are supposed to be pure fun nothing else. If you want a return on your money, go buy shares of the s&p 500. Don’t cry a river because your hot prospects rookie card is worth 25 cents in 5 years. The most collectible things in the world were never meant to be collectibles, vintage baseball, 1st edition pokemon, comics etc. the reason they are worth so much and are so collectible now is because they weren’t meant to be investments, they were just fun, NOW they are collectible.

Fitting that this is a prediction episode because I just came here to give T-Pott props on one of his. On the Halloween RIP Sports Card Investor Episode he said that Caleb Williams and the bears would lose 9 of their last ten games and end the season 5-12. And that is EXACTLY what happened. Never in my life have I seen a more impressive and accurate prediction in sports. Bravo sir.

I also tried to tell everyone to steer clear of Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, Deshaun Watson, Aidan O'Connell, Bryce Young, Justin Fields, Jordan Love and Daniel Jones. Just a cautionary tale from personal experience, I ripped a Clayton Kershaw autographed rookie card when he was first coming up and was thrilled to have the card. With the logic that pitchers get hurt and have less of a chance of panning out, I sold the card during his first season. Yep, still kicking myself in the butt all these years later. I figured I could use the money to get more boxes.... and I did, but we know how that usually goes. Yes, pitchers are more of a gamble but they sometimes do pay off.

The key to Wemby cards is only buying /25 and under. Rare and limited. The rarity of those are less saturated or not saturated at all. Then hope and dream that he becomes what he’s projected to become. Also consider that “hype pricing” is driving a lot of cards up that haven’t really earned any real solid value besides hype pricing. Be careful buying to high with hype priced cards in general. Lots of people lose a lot of money doing this.

Great video, T Pot. I do like the thought of the Dynasty cards closing the gap to basketball & football RPAs. I think Victor may be a buy in serial # prizm. His base prizm may plateau around the $100 but I don't see it more than that unless he wins DPOY & makes a playoff push.

I would have liked to hear about case hits like Ultra Violet, HFA, Celebracion, etc. Outside of initial release and initial run of PSA returns, those tank so hard during the off season and previous years never come back. It's weird.

I think if he gets traded to a big market team, he will see a temporary surge in price...but ultimately he NEEDS to stay healthy and play games. Trout is an all-time great. Remarkable career...hate seeing him miss time.

Hi Ken, We actually do track CGC graded cards for the TCG products. We also track CGC on some sports cards, but they still grade very few sports cards so it's a lot of work for us to add those grades when in reality most of the cards will never be graded with CGC. Thanks for watching!

I’m a basketball guy. I just found out Dynasty isnt game used. Beautiful cards but what is the point ? I know rookies nowadays don’t use game used (which is ridiculous) but how can a card like dynasty increase in value when it’s just an autograph. The fake jersey should literally hurt the value.

The market won’t crash but you’re right it makes no financial sense to buy sealed boxes but I still buy my favorite releases right when they release. This year I would say if I made 50% of my money back I was super happy but mostly made maybe 15-20% on every sealed product. That’s why if you want to invest you should just be buying singles of the players you think will have value in the future. Buying sealed products is the same as gambling maybe worst but I just accept the prices and buy only a few sealed hobby boxes or maybe one jumbo a year! Just cause I like the hobby and can’t resist to open up a few cool sealed products every year😭

What you said is not wrong. But that doesn't mean their cards won't go down in price. I've been doing this long enough to know how this works. You have to watch price relativity. If Mahomes doesn't threepeat this year, his prices WILL come down - possibly significantly. He had a terrible season (personal performance), in spite of the team being 15-1 when he played. I'm a huge Chiefs fan. Watched almost every game this year. They could have lost several of them. Allen is in my favorite QB not named Mahomes, Goff or Stafford. He's won me multiple fantasy leagues over the years. But his prices are very high relative to other guys, and very high for a guy who hasn't even made it to a Super Bowl yet. So if he doesn't at least make it there this year, he also stands to decrease potentially. It's all about the shiny new object in the Hobby and ESPECIALLY with football QBs. It's also all about what COULD BE and less about what has been, in the short term...which is why, ironically, Burrow missing the playoffs but having an MVP caliber season works in his favor. Everyone will be convinced the Bengals are SB contenders next year and will pump up his prices this summer. Brady is the goat, but even his prices dropped 60%+ after he retired.
