I logically knew a good some of these to some capacity but for all my hours I did not know you could just make a knife by grabbing a small stone and instead of combining it with another one just go over to a rock an beat it on the rock. See this is what I get for overthinking things I don't need two rocks, just bring the rock to a much larger rock.

TOP TIP: When playing at night time and getting rushed in a building, turn on a flashlight and place looking towards the door then sit in the opposite corner. 9/10 they will look at the area behind the flashlight first.

Awesome tips as usual - So just to correct you on the fishing (at least I think!!) :D - Fish are harder to catch during sunny daytime for 2 reason: they are more visible to predators and there is less oxygen near the surface

Yeah they need to let you open canned goods the same way. If I take a can and rub the top on cement or a stone surface long enough the edge will wear down, and I can open the can IRL.

@@iijj Silencers are about as durable as guns and can be repaired now (gun cleaning kit). The improvised silencer is still 3 shots to ruined. Works out about right (cleaning silencers IRL after a lot of shooting is incredibly annoying, and they aren't anywhere near as quiet as in this game except for subsonic loads).

Bonussss tip!! You can hide in a bush when an infected is looking for you (before going aggressive) and they won't see you even if looking right at you.

You forgot the most valuable tip in the game. This glitch has been in the game since release and the devs will never fix it. If you hold a 2-handed gun in your hands, like an AK for example, then you jog in place towards any wall and press your lean button to insert your head into the wall. Make sure you’re jogging into the wall while leaning. Then you can use your free look to observe (through the walls) other players without them seeing you. This is called ‘wall peeking’. Some walls will actually completely eliminate all buildings when ‘peeked’ through only revealing players. A good example is the L-shaped military building. The front walls, when peeked, only show the terrain and players. This is probably the most game-breaking glitch and from my knowledge; they’ve never addressed it. Hopefully WOBO sees this comment and brings attention to it so the DayZ devs can finally fix this stupid exploit.

Like I said before, this exploit has been in the game since release and there’s no DayZ content creator that’s willing to bring it to attention but I figured somebody like WOBO would be willing to tackle this issue.

Why wouldn’t this qualify as a tip? For all the new players on official wondering how an enemy team pushed straight to their location as soon as they logged in, well this explains it. It’s valuable information to know that there are possible players who can quite literally see through walls. I would feel informed if somebody explained this to me. And I would definitely consider it a valuable tip. Do I think this exploit should be in the game? Absolutely not. But I feel like the new players who want to experience this game deserve to know this.

An additional tip if you have something in your hand that you can't carry in your inventory or if you're doing something else, for example hunting medium to large game ranging from deer, boar, elk, or bear, if you have a full set or 2 of rags in your inventory, craft 1 of the 2 options the improvised torso wrappings or improvised leg wrappings as temporary containers for your loose items. Do remember that deconstructing the improvised pieces of clothing consume 2 of the 6 required to make each of the 2 pieces.

Pro tip for zombies. If you crouch completely still inside a bush as long as you didnt attract the zombies they will walk directly around and passed you just kinda hanging out. This works good for camping military bases because nobody expects a person in a bush next to 5 zombies.

Some door ways allow you to place the fireplace in the door way. While most of the fire is outside, it still counts it as inside from the rain, but outside to get it lit.

Hey here's another pro tip! You can now get into a vehicle with your weapon in your hand. So when you get out of the car you will still have the weapon out, no need to scramble for it in a shootout. Some notes: The driver of the car will switch his or hers fire rate setting (single fire, burst, full auto) while driving due to down shifting the car so watch out for that. If you get know knocked out while in the car with you weapon in hand it will drop out of the car. Hope this helps!

When you light the fire in the rain you just move back a bit when he animation starts and I never take damage. Made plenty fires on the ice sheets in blizzards haha. Didnt know about the fish one or being able to use a boulder to craft the new bone knife so I guess I have to like haha.

Protip I've not seen anyone use: To reduce time spent bandaging, instead of waiting for the animation to end, when the circle is full/as soon as the (or one of the) wounds is treated, press the right mouse button to aim. This will cancel the short animation at the end, where the character tightens up the bandage one last time. The time saved can be used to bandage again, quicker and possibly avoid death.

Yeah tbh, when they made the game so sensitive that even a "Crowbar" takes damage from making Rags, that was it for me lol yes survival is supposed to be difficult, but not impractical... The stove pots can and do last for years, yet they only last for a few uses now lol?? There is one more trick that no youtuber ever mentioned, even "pro" youtubers that play dayz When the action circle is complete, you will go thru some animation depends on what you doing, instead of waiting a moment, sprint away, it will cancel any action and you are ready to do another action, grab a gun or quickly bandage another wound. A player bandaging 3 wound = player bandaging 5 wound with "cancel action", almost same time.

Another Pro Tip; you can use the cooking pot and the gas stove to thaw your food very quickly on Namalsk (however soda cans and honey jars become damaged rather quickly, so don’t take them past soaked). Works great for going undetected, plus you get the heat buff really fast!

Bro foot wraps are my absolute go to! Generally I main the feet, face, and hand wraps versus their actual counterparts. Especially with simply needing more rags to repair them this saving your sewing kits and leather repair kits for your bags and plates.

got additional tip for starting campfires in rain, just drop a rag or bark on the ground and light it as it is without crafting the campfire, it will ignite even in heavy rain, after it burn just press tab and add some sticks can be wet or whatever it doesn't matter :D

@@illidur yeah, in addition burning just one piece rag/bark is even enough to reset the + symbol when it just disappeared, you just have to keep eye on it and if you light a rag every time your symbol just disappeared, just for seconds and you don't have to wait any longer to maintain the buff.... this is specially useful in namalsk type of maps. :) I wonder why WOBO haven't mentioned all this, it's a very powerful not so known mechanic :D

@mo no its more than just the zombies... Theres so many things in this game that tries to be "realistic" and ends up just being plain ol stupid instead... Like how you cut your feet by being barefoot while standing in tge same place or getting your hands cut and dying from bloodloss because you tried to grab stick from the nearby bush... or incompetent our character is at carrying weight or holding his breath... Look, i understand that there are some things that will changed from the real life equivalent for the sake of gameplay but this game despite being fun and fully playable, has some downright bad game design decisions...

Want to add to the Wet Fireplace. I found if it's raining you can't light it with matches or a lighter. But you can use a hand drill to still ignite it while it's wet or raining. Literally did last night
