I played this game a lot(3-4k hours). The thing is, as you can see in this clip, there is no certainty on if the enemy will die with one bullet at DayZ, there is no certainty over anything at DayZ. So, you can be the best DayZ player ever but you will die in a stupid way more than any game. So playing DayZ better doesn't mean that you will have fun more. Go out there, try to have some fun and don't think about being a "PRO" at DayZ, you don't need that...

@@daryl497 Tarkov is a very different game. Intensity of combats are same but game play is very different. You need to learn some shit at Tarkov to guarantee your fun.

My experience is that there's a huge gap between guys that've learned to reliably survive, and guys that've learned to shoot. Firefights are so rare in DayZ, you need hours for meaningful improvement, unless you play on PvP servers.

I would agree. I learned alot of my pvp from trying to survive on pvp heavy survival community servers. I'm nowhere near tope but that experience has grilled basic combat tactics into me so now I can enjoy survival without having to worry about getting outplayed in a gunfight. I'm very fortunate to not come across super highly skilled players like tope on my survival journey

That’s a good point. I have about 1500 hours and can maybe get a few kills per life, but I know all the intricacies and crafting, tricks for zombies, etc and that is really what is a game changer.

Great video, fantastic PVP. This was Godly, the video quality looks absolutely lush too! This isn't aimed at yourself or anyone inparticular here. Just help or thoughts for anyone that's finds DayZ interesting and wants to give it a crack... Go for it! Something that aids me I find hugely in PVP are your surroundings. IF you know a town or the map like the back of your hand its a great advantage. You'll know where players will most likely be waiting, hiding injured or will attempt to search for you, basically hotpots. You'll also know good angles and vantage points to both watch or shoot loud/snipe from. When I first watched DayZ I use to wonder how exp players found other players from long distance shots... Lol, hopefully theres a day when maps are automatically generated. Probably never! PVP servers are best off for really practicing "aiming" I find, not even really for killing more to just get fluent with the DayZ controls esp if you've arrived from console or even if you're just new... Then getting the feel of your mouse settings is essential. Medium pop servers I find are more beneficial, it gives you the occasional breathing space you'd encounter during a real sessional fire fight still with 3rd party possibilities of course. Full pop for me just doesn't "feel" close enough. Even low pop PVP is more similar to that quiet little town you stumble across in-game with 2players you might just spot casually looting around. Yes you can obviously loot on PVP servers, but you'll more than likely start with predominantly the best tier gear anyway. I usually just fight with whatever I spawn with. Again med-low pop is more kind when attempting to get a little looting practice. The other thing with PVP servers are aimbot encounters, and cheats. Id start on a level playing field, so a really well kept and administered PVP server could be helpful. Merry Xmas all, enjoy the new year!!

As a new player, holding another noob at gunpoint with my (empty) .380 and making him drop all of his food before settling for half of it, and sparing him of course, proved very effective for survival. the official servers are wild 😵‍💫

it's still amazing how good flanking works in this game. most players concentrate on the area they last heard a shot in for like 10 minutes without thinking that somebody could possibly flank them.

My rule of thumb while in a ranged gunfight is *if you are not flanking your enemy, they are flanking you.

I started playing Dayz for the first time last month and haven’t manage to nail anyone how ever I have been nailed more than I can remember. Hey tope i been watching your videos for quite some time and picking up alot of your tips i have around 250 hours on pc but i played on ps4 and got around 600 there. I know what to do in certain scenarios but i have a big problem. Whenever i get into a fight i get really nervous and my heart rate goes to a 1000. Do u have any tips on how to deal with it

About the only thing that can help with that (other than drugs and alcohol), is time and skill through lots of pvp experience. It's what makes DayZ great. No game can give you adrenaline like a DayZ firefight especially for low experienced players. You work so hard to get the gear you don't want to lose it while rewarding your killer at the same time. Plus most of the game is relaxed so when you suddenly go into pvp mode it's quite the rush. I think it's a good thing. IRL your heart rate would go through the roof in a firefight and to have a game that can recreate that is amazing
